I think he means that is is square to favourize the main characters. Like those who fave Scorpion or Ryu etc.

Jin is nice, but that the whole story focus on only him, Kazuya and Heihachi is kinda annoying. The rest of the roster gets left behind and many of them have become joke characters, such as Paul, Steve, Law and Yoshimitsu.

Nina, my fave femme fatale, had the potential to go deeper in her storyline in Tekken 4 when it was revealed that Steve Fox is her son... but NOOOOOO... Namco totally ignored that and had her back fighting Anna. *spits on ground*

The story of Tekken have become so incredibly stale and boring.

What characters haven't been announced yet?

Well, there's Gun Jack, but I don't think he will be in as he was just the next step of the Jack series in Tekken 3 while the Jack in this game is just the newest of the line. Prototype Jack is different enough to be his own character though.

Then there's Dr. Boskonovitch. He's a possibility.

Maybe Gon too, though he was just a guest character.

Nancy, perhaps?

Azazel could be too.

Or Mokujin/Tetsujin.

Mokujin has been known for a while. I'm waiting on Tetsujin, though.

Definitely sounds like Dr. Bosconovitch and Miharu Hirano.

I think it would be more than acceptable to have Tetsujin just as an alt for Mokujin, because they are both randomized characters. It's not like they have an established movelist of their own. No need to make him an individual character from Mokujin.

So, it's a crime to like a main character? Do note that Lars is a main character in Tekken 6

Pretty much this. I really don't see the need for Tetsujin to be a separate character. I SUPPOSE that one could say "Well Kuma and Panda are separate characters, and Panda was a pallette swap." But I feel like it made sense for her to be her own character in this game.

Like you said, they both have randomized movesets. So why exactly would we need 2 of them? At least Panda has that tireswing move that Kuma doesn't have.

Namco doesn't have the license to Gon anymore.
Tetsujin will most likely be a Alt like TTT1.
Don't care about Bosconovitch.

And no, it's not a crime, but it is still "square". Square is also a term to those who are mainstream and it is considered mainstream to like the main character. In Lars' defense, yes, he might be the main character in the Scenario Campaign of Tekken 6, yet the story was still ALL about Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi in the end.

So that means there are more characters to be revealed...

I'm off to GameStop in a little bit to go preorder. Didn't know that Alex, Forrest law, and them were all free DLC and people who preorder it get them day 1. So your getting 8 characters, Bikinis, snoop dogg stage, a theme for psn, and 2 outfits for xbl avatars. Namco be boss.

The extra free characters will be DLC for everyone though. That's the reason I don't preorder, because I don't need the rest. I can wait until Kunimitsu becomes free DLC for the rest of us. ^^

I do enjoy playing SFxT though. It's fun. ^^
But yeah, having to pay to play Lars and Cody while the PS Vita people get the extra characters along with the full game for the same price I paid JUST for the game... It is a bit sour. The game in itself on PS3 is still a complete game though, the extra characters are just a luxury. Just a bit annoying that some get them for free while the rest of us have to pay for them.

So to that end, then yeah, Namco is doing a better job.

I heard the DLC wont come out til 3 months have passed after release. That kinda sucks.

I pre-ordered when I bought Heavenly Sword because I figured "Well since I'm here..."

And this is what kills me about Lars. He is another goddamn Mishima. Instead of having him be a stand alone hero, they just HAD to make him connected to the Mishimas.

Right then, I lost all respect I had for Lars.

So that one thing was enough to ruin it for you? That one little connection was enough to overshadow all the rest that makes Lars who he is? His gameplay, his appearance, the rest of his storyline... All that means nothing just because he is the child of Heihachi?

He may be part of that family, but he's nothing like the rest of them.

As I said before, his gameplay is awkward to me, and his look didn't vibe with me. But to answer your question, Yes.

That little connection was enough to completely negate my previous dislikes about him. I felt like it was a cheap tactic to make him more likeable. As if there weren't enough Mishimas...

It's as if the writers thought "Well... One more couldn't hurt."
