That little connection was enough to completely negate my previous dislikes about him. I felt like it was a cheap tactic to make him more likeable. As if there weren't enough Mishimas...
It's as if the writers thought "Well... One more couldn't hurt."

He may be part of that family, but he's nothing like the rest of them.

And this is what kills me about Lars. He is another goddamn Mishima. Instead of having him be a stand alone hero, they just HAD to make him connected to the Mishimas.
Right then, I lost all respect I had for Lars.

Well, you already didn't feel him, so this just added to it then. Fair enough. ^^
I kinda liked the connection. I am tired of the storyline being focused on the trio that is Jin, Kazuya and Heihachi, however, Lars coming in and showing he is nothing like those three, that he isn't as corrupt as those three and that he doesn't want to be part of the eternal battle those three has... it was refreshing, in my opinion. And a step in the right direction for the story. I want Namco to go away from the focus on those three. I want the story to evolve and become interesting again. For 3 games we have seen them fight eachother with no end results.
Tekken 6 tried to make a twist, but in the end, it was the same old shit. The story is evolving just as much as the story of Street Fighter... which is close to none. There are two things Namco sucks at... Story progression and character evolvement.

I do enjoy playing SFxT though. It's fun. ^^
But yeah, having to pay to play Lars and Cody while the PS Vita people get the extra characters along with the full game for the same price I paid JUST for the game... It is a bit sour. The game in itself on PS3 is still a complete game though, the extra characters are just a luxury. Just a bit annoying that some get them for free while the rest of us have to pay for them.
So to that end, then yeah, Namco is doing a better job.

I'm not getting SF x Tekken until it's released on the Vita
Never said the game was bad, just the way Capcom deals with DLC is bogus.
I Pre-ordered the game so early DLC access here I come ^_^

Oh, that I agree with. Capcom doesn't know how to handle their fanbase, they screw them over from time to time. At least they have stated they will reconsider their DLC politics. It's a step in the right direction.
... I say that alot... "A step in the right direction"... Well, at least it isn't in the wrong direction. ^^

Tekken 6 felt like a means to an end. So hopefully Tekken 7 will tie up all the loose ends.

Yeah, it did actually. I hope Jin will be on top, Heihachi and Kazuya dead. Thing is... will Jin control the Devil Gene, or will it control him when the fight is over?
Theory: Jin wins, the Devil Gene takes over and Jin is the Final Boss in the Tekken 7! Lars becomes the "main" character along with Alisa who will be the ones to stop Jin once and for all.
I don't want Jin dead though, so they could put him in a sort of coma or cryofreeze him while looking for a cure of sorts, Lars taking up the quest of doing so. And that will be the intro of the next game, Tekken 8. This could also be where Jun returns, her being connected with the cure somehow...
Just passing thoughts of what I think would be a way to progress further... but that's a discussion for another thread. ^^

What if in Tekken 7 the old characters come back(T2-T3)
Ogre, Jun, Kunimitsu etc.

Only if they have good reason. A good story behind them to support their return. I love Kunimitsu, but I don't want her to return "just because". In TTT2 it is fine as it is a Tekken All-Star game which is non-canon, but if they could incorporate a good storyline with her return, I would be all for it.
The same with Jun... but Ogre? I'm okay with him never to return in the canon storyline. Besides, Jin finished him off in the Devil Within mini-game in Tekken 5.
"Jin battles True Ogre once again. Once it is defeated, it reveals yet another transformation. Despite its new advantages, Jin still triumphs, and destroys Ogre once and for all."

Other characters too besides the others I've mentioned like Michelle or something

I wonder if that wolf thing that was with unknown will ever make an appearance again. Or will he never come back since he blew up into glowing spaghetti in whichever Tekken he was in.

He was in TTT1. Junknown broke free

Well, as I said, as long they make a good and meaningful story reason for those characters to return, then I'll be alright with it.

If she broke free, what causes her to get all gooey like in this one?

Pretty much this. I really don't see the need for Tetsujin to be a separate character. I SUPPOSE that one could say "Well Kuma and Panda are separate characters, and Panda was a pallette swap." But I feel like it made sense for her to be her own character in this game.
Like you said, they both have randomized movesets. So why exactly would we need 2 of them? At least Panda has that tireswing move that Kuma doesn't have.
Jaded-Raven Wrote:
Oh, you're right, didn't notice that. ^^
I think it would be more than acceptable to have Tetsujin just as an alt for Mokujin, because they are both randomized characters. It's not like they have an established movelist of their own. No need to make him an individual character from Mokujin.

And I agree with you lol. Just tryin to add some nostalgia to the games(then again TTT2 is already doing that ;P)
Out of the ones I've mentioned, Jun has a higher possibility. That's just me

1) Who are your favourite top 3 characters of Tekken?
2) In what games do you like those characters the best?
3) And what is it about those characters that makes you like them?

Ha. Don't be so sad. Since my friend has it for Xbox, I'll be able to brush up my skills before I fight either you or Lao. I don't want to look THAT weak when fighting since I'm kinda bad at Tekken at the moment.

Top 3
1. Armor King
2. Kuma
3. Jack-2
I like them the best in...
I liked Armor King best in Tekken 6. I think they did a nice job bringing him back.
I liked Kuma best in Tekken 2. I love polar bears and Kuma first appeared as a polar bear in Tekken 2.
I liked Jack-2 best in Tekken 2. I loved his look, his stage, and gameplay.
Why I like like them is because...
I love Armor King's mask. I love his mysterious personality. Everything about Armor King is awesome to me.
I love Kuma being a bear. I love bears so to be able to play one is awesome. I love how he's goofy and wants to be with Panda.
I love Jack-2's personality. Out of all the Jacks, he is by far my favorite. He was the first one to have a personality. He wanted to protect Jane, and he was (Until that asshole Dr. Abel killed him).
This list was not easy.

I'm gonna do Top 3 Male and Top 3 Females instead cuz your question is hard ._.
1) •Jin
•Kazuya
•King
---
•Jun
•Xiao
•Asuka
2) Jin in Tekken 6
Kazuya in Tekken 4
King in Tekken 6
---
Jun in TTT2(hurr durr)
Xiao in Tekken 6
Asuka in Tekken 5(if you get my drift
3) Jin- Cuz he's the Tragic Hero and his determination to end the Devil Gene and his new of dark personality
Kazuya-One of the coolest Villain/Anti Heros in a fighting game. And his Ending and in Jin's Tekken 4 ending was amazing.
King-A rather mysterious character like Armor King and I'm always curious about his "mask" and "tail". Wonder if he is a Jaguar/Human hybrid lol
---
Jun- Her purity, gorgeousness & her alter ego made her shine as a awesome character. Jun as a final boss and her Junknown somewhat shocked me. And her unique power regarding devil and stuff
Xiao- Her caring love & passion towards her Close friend and crush Jin and is always at his side whether he likes it or not
Asuka- She's one fiesty cookie and she kicks ass. She is a somewhat distant cousin of Jin and her ending had me in stitches.
I like alot of characters in the series but some, ehh...
