Even if he does get unbanned, the crazy, crazy, guy that he is, will just do something so unbelievably off the hook, he'll just get another ban.
#mortalkombat isn't all it's cracked up to be. Not by a long shot.
But hey, he's a good guy, so unban him.

I took a look at your evidence Bloodline and from what I can tell he's getting banned for cussing out Scott-Howell in the chat. An Elder God co creator of the site. And after they already unbanned him one. I don't care who disagreed with him in the chat, or what the admins do to him. He had no right to cuss out Scott or any other admin on this site. Especially in the chat, or on the forums. The admins have said if before, if you have a problem with them or any of theyre ruling to PM them, and not make a public spectacle of thing. The admins don't tolerate that kind of language towards any user, let alone another amin, or Elder God.
If this is their reason for banning him, as I suspect it is then no I'm not signing this petition to have him unbanned. Let him stay banned. They where nice enough to unbanned him once why should they do it again?

Bad news people: You're "unban" petitions do not work. They accomplish nothing. They have never worked in the past, they're not going to start working in the future, and the two petitions on the general discussion's front page are going to end up being just as worthless as the previous ones.
We have never unbanned anyone because of a petiton. The only reason Siddu is back on MKonline is because V7 created a clean slate for most banned users (to my knowledge, we made a few exceptions to certain people; those select few did not get unbanned as far as I know). Some users like Siddu changed their ways and have become positive parts of the community. Others got re-banned. Most just didn't give a shit to bother returning to see that their ban was lifted.
And most importantly, there is no such thing as an unjust ban. Banning is something that is done at our discretion, and that's why it is vital that we pick trust-worthy moderators with a keen sense of judgement. Can we make mistakes? Yes, and if so, we mend them. Either way, I've seen the evidence on both sides, and I don't see any trace of an "unjust ban."
Petitions like this are a waste of time. But sign away. Don't take my word for it.

Thanks for the support guys.
Kabal20: The reason for cussing out Scott in PM was because he stood by and said silly things like "you like being kicked, don't you TMK" When I wasn't breaking any chat rules other than having a discussion about Potent's death. The cussing toward TPB was for the same reason, he was abusing his power and kicking me out of the chatroom for this reason an I quote "Don't piss me off a third time" Even when I asked why he was kicking me out of the chatroom he did not answer.
TUN: I dissagree with you "there is no such thing as an unjust ban" I was banned from this site last week by ]{ because I was defending myself from members of mkforces flaming me on the forums, while I was reciving warnings...they were reciving nothing. Even tho it was obvious they had stolen and modified media from my site and claimed it as there own (now sorted out with the webmaster). ]{ had put MKF and TMK as being "lesser" MK sites. Scott-Howell stepped in and fixed everything up which was good of him...it takes alot of courage and good will to confront someone who has been giving you grief for a long time to apologize for the actions of a staff member. Me and ]{ also patched up our short and quick argument. So sometimes there are unjust bans when reviewed get sorted out. Also I think that if members of a chatroom want someone back so I guess the people who signed this petition above do, it should be looked at, as the people make the chat....what was my crime to get banned...other than having a discussion about potents death....nothing really. (the cussing came after a ban was placed on me by TPB after he said "don't piss me off a third time" also...as a former chatroom op I don't think it's right that his final kick message said "* You were kicked by The_Purple_Bunny (You don't ever learn not to be a child, will you? Fuck off.)"
I am not putting this here to start a fight, just saying how it is.
Regards,

If he's banned it's because they think he deserved it, no matter how much you think he didn't. He should be privileged they still let him post on the forums. Keep the son of a bitch banned 4 life.

I can't speak for Scott or the other mods, they from what I can tell thought you where in there to cause trouble. "You like being kicked (booted from the chat)." Meaning you where causing trouble and warented them booting you from the chat several time when they where telling you you where doing something wrong. You cussed out Scott like it was his fault you where getting booted by TPB, like he was telling TPB to boot you. If a mod/admin thinks your causing trouble that warrents you being booted from the chat they don't need get approval from Scott or DarchBishop. Yeah maybe Scott shouldn't have repeadely said "You like being Kicked don't you TMK?", but your laguage towards him was uncalled for, and unwarrented. I thought that they banned you indefenitly from the site, but as I can tell they only banned you from the chat, so you should consider yourself luck that they didn't outright ban you from the whole site. The mods don't tollerate that kind of language towards anyone, what makes you think your justified in using that kind of language against Elder God? Theres certanly other ways to get your point across without it. Even if he was wrong.

Well, not only does evidence point to the "cussing out" happening after his ban, but it also points to the cussing out done in a Private Message, meaning it was done outside the channel. Banning someone from a public chat for something said in a private message doesn't come across as just at all.
And, it is not Scott Howell who allows TMK to post in this forum. It is Crow, the Forum Director. Let me also bring up the fact that TMK was the victim of a double standard in this forum. He gets banned for flaming while the other party gets a mere slap on the wrist for the same offense, and I don't blame Crow for it, since he's not the one that banned TMK from the forums. In fact, Crow himself unbanned TMK from here, and I praise Crow for doing the right thing in the face of a double standard. It's not that hard to give both parties in a flame war equal punishment.
TMK may have caused trouble for the staff in the past, but let me remind you that is in the past, and we need to move on. He was given a second chance, and robbed of it. He was simply arguing his opinion, and he gets banned for it! Not fair at all! I've seen others argue their opinions in the chat, and they don't get banned for it. Look at LouisTypo. He never got banned for stating his opinion, even though at times, it was stupid (he'd later get banned for exposing spoilers even after repeated warnings). But TMK does the same thing, and gets banned! How right is that? And to say he deserved it because he cussed out a staff member IN A PRIVATE MESSAGE, OUTSIDE THE CHAT?! That's getting into personal territory there, and to me, that's crossing the line!
The fact of the matter is, TMK was given unequal treatment, both on the forums and in the chat, and no matter how you look at it, it's still unjust. Each offense deserves equal treatment for all offenders, regardless.

I just want to throw in my position before this goes on any further.
At this time, I am unwilling to undo the akick placed on Total-MK, as it was put in place under the discretion of two staff members: Scott Howell and The_Purple_Bunny. Until both of them come to me and request the akick removed, I will not remove it. If you want to see about getting Total-MK back into the IRC channel, those are the two that need to be convinced.
Carry on if you wish, but that's where things stand right now.

If TMK received unequal treament, it was in his favor.
I had banned him from here because a while back, he was flaming with another MK site web master, and I had deleted the flames from his post as well as the other guy's post. There was mod box saying no flaming. TMK had edited his post to put the flames BACK IN IT. The other guy didn't do that. That's why I had made the decision to ban him and only him, although Scott agreed we should all give him another chance anyway.

And as far as I'm concerned, I will NOT place any vote to allow TMK back into the channel. If you people even bothered to ask about, much less have been around the last two times he was banned, youd've thought twice before even asking to unban him.
I put the ban on him last time because he can't control his mouth and temper, he was deopped twice because he insulted people for trying to debate him, going as far as to ban them for it. The 2nd time involved him making general insults towards people from America for not agreeing with his side. Both times he's PMed Scott Howell and harassed him, even threatening his life (far fetched I know, but he's just like that). He's banned people in his own channel for idling in there at the same time as #mortalkombat, accusing them of spying for us. He submitted pictures to the picture site insulting MKO. It's enough I'm tolerating his "good behavior" on this site, which I don't buy one damn bit. I will not allow him back into the channel when I've seen not once, not twice, but three times now how he gets. I'm not putting up with him again. You and TMK can hate me all you want for it, but I'm not going to be easily convinced (much less at all convinced) that he'll behave.
And for those that want me to prove TMK did these things, how about you disprove them. You likely weren't there when it happened anyway.

Perhaps I should simply refrain from adding my two cents here, but I was never one to listen to reason. I also figure its about time I began posting, as I have already paid for the privilege to do so.
I personally do not know TMK. I wouldn't know him if he ran by me on fire screaming his name. I also wish it noted that I have no grudge against him, personal or otherwise. Lets say I can see the situation from a mostly neutral third party position.
The point here, at least to me, is that the #mortalkombat ops are ops for a reason. They have proven themselves, and have gained their status. No one handed it to them. No one pays them for the job. And God knows they certainly don't reap the rewards of the job. Its dirty, time-consuming, and thankless overall. I know, I've been there many times.
In order for a channel to function, there must be a level of trust given to those that run the channel. Trust that they will not act vicariously, or act within their own agendas. A believe that they do wish the channel to continue, to thrive, and to be a place that everyone can enjoy. That also involves allowing them to take actions as they see fit, in order to maintain that peace, and preserve the environment as accepting to all who go there.
By not only visiting, but returning to #mortalkombat you are implying that you agree, for the most part, that the ops are making the channel a place you wish to frequent. Its all a matter of trust. And as such, you trust that the action taken against TMK was not arbitrary, but was for a reason. Now, I am not saying that the actions of the ops should not be questioned at times, because a channel must be democratic. The minute a channel becomes an oligarchy, it dies. I've seen it happen, and it is inevitable. I would hate to for #mortalkombat end up like that, but as yet, I do not see that occurring in any way.
You cannot choose which actions you agree with and which you do not, and move against them. No, not every decision made is going to be popular, or please the majority of people. But you accept that as a condition of participating in this community on IRC. Thats what being a channel, a community, is all about. I've had people I cared about banned before, and I've banned people I care about. Its life, and you move on.
Some may accuse me of listening to DAB's view of this situation. And I will not lie. I have had to listen to a lot of things concerning TMK. A lot of them even before I began frequenting #mortalkombat. I've seen some of the "antics" he has pulled, and I mean that as nicely as I can. They come third party, and I do take them with a grain of salt, not knowing TMK. Some may accuse me of just being DAB's "chick", and if that is how you see me, then I am sorry for you. I am my own person, friend or not to DAB. And I have my own opinion, feelings, and mouth. I have no need to regurgitate anything that is given to me third party. I am a big girl, I can form my own opinions.
I was on #mortalkombat at the time TMK was banned. I saw him in those last few days. I did not say much, because I was new, and did not feel it was my place. But frankly, I was not impressed. That is my own opinion.
I won't vote yea or nay on this issue, unless you back me into a corner, and give me no choice. I will, however, stand behind the ops in their decisions concerning the channel, and what is best for it overall. If I get flamed for this post, here or on #mortalkombat, well then...flame away. I was IRC'ing long before most here knew what IRC was, and I've been flamed by the best.
Sorry, TMK.

Sorry, TMK.

Yeah... idling is some tough work. Makes me exhausted just thinking about it.
At least there's always 4-5 ops there. You know, to help shift the weight of such a heavy burden.
