Q: Is online on the PS3 systems region locked?

Your post brings up a question I've had about some Twisted Metal fans for a while...

Why is it that some people abbreviate it as TW (like you)? I don't mean to sound rude, but it just doesn't make as much sense as TM, I mean the game isn't titled Wetal, much like how MK is Mortal Kombat, and others like MGS and GTA... That is really the only game in which some of it's fanbase doesn't abbreviate with the two words.

Unless you're referring to Two Worlds... or Tiger Woods... or something else that David Jaffe didn't work on.

Seriously though, don't take this as an attack, I'm asking you why you do it.

I love this new twisted metal but the online needs a serious fix it takes so long to join games i just cant the host system the game really should of had matchmaking insted of host and for some stange reason when i wanna invite friends to play online with me there gamertags dont even show up to invite them hopefully a patch comes real soon :/

It's because Twisted Metal comes from the Latin term "torqu re methul" meaning "turn M's upside to make W's"

I loved TM back in the day. TM2 still being my fav. That being said, this game is not worth a full price tag to me. I'd be willing to spend $40 happily. As much as I love Mr. Grimm, I'm gonna wait a bit.

Shame Axel is pre-order only, but it's a big hint there's dlc vehicles.

Maybe Brimstone, if Preacher gets a dlc chapter. I hope you can use the front of the cross as an alt. Special or extra ram dam. I wanted to do that in Black. El Camino's ROCK! (Dodge ver. is called Rampage)

YellowJacket is a must. With everyone hanging out the windows now, maybe we can get the Molotov Cocktail from TM1, but not limited to straight forward.

Thumper, since Kamikaze has his flamethrower & TM3-ish shockwave, I dunno what they'd give the pink lowrider.

Specter with ghost missile. Why is Kamikaze listed as Specter on twistedmetal.com, and if it is, why does he have Thumper's moves?

Mr. Slamm, grab n slam. Seems Roadboat's special is similar.

A Firetruck with a watercannon special, and ladder beatdown like the wild Firetrucks on Family Guy.

Mail delivery van. Packages fall out of the back like Darkside/Juggy's mine special. Package bomb(remote mine)

No dlc is planned sadly. Axel however will be eventually .available as a free download

Dam that is really sad since the online has got a little better ! i would love 2 see more charecters cars and storys dlc hopefully

As far as Warthog goes, maybe they could give the current Warthog his original name (White Knight or whatever it was), and give the Humvee his name.

Spectre was Kamikaze's original name, but they changed it because his special wasn't Spectre'y enough (Sweet Tooth's is though...)

This isn't as related, but I like the duality of some of the cars, like Death Warrant and Roadkill, Crimson Fury and Kamikaze, Axel and Warthog (White Knight), and maybe Outlaw and Darkside (DS's Alt. anyways)

Yeah, I also noticed Kamikaze/Crimson Fury. More power/speed, less armor?
And everybody n their dog has a machine gun special...

Sweet Tooth's special is like his TM2 version, but doesn't bounce/undulate.

Just curious, has anyone else's situation improved as far as connecting to games and staying connected since the new patch dropped? I personally have been able to connect every time since the patch, but have been booted a couple of times.

I really hope all the issues get ironed out, because this is probably the most fun online i've had online in a while.
