Not entirely sure why, but I absolutely loved Twisted Metal 2, and Twisted Metal 4.

Twisted Metal Black wasn't my cup of tea.

Twisted Metal 4 was great, but yet everybody hated it. I even liked twisted metal 3, but Twisted Metal 2 was my favorite. I still haven't played Twisted Metal Black :(


I wish Twisted Metal was multi-platform.

i couldnt stand 3, 4, small brawl & Head On, black was decent, TM2 was the best so far imo. the new one looks like a massive expansion of the TM concept. in other words a great big bag of awesome. you guys with the 360s only need to get on that buying a PS3 thing so ya'll can come jam. i have a better chance of spontaneously morphing into a female than TM does of going multiplatform. Sony would literally have to withdraw from the console buisness for that to happen.wow

Agree, however I perfer TM2 versions more. I Don't like the Emo girl who was Shadow, I much perfered Mortimer the Undertaker. Grimm, its a toss up. Both are excellent stories. Minion, again a Toss up. Finally, Darkside, NO DOLLFACE! Ughh I didn't like her. Now I've got nothing against female characters, just those two. Infact I perfered Outlaw2 to Outlaw.

I also haven't played Twisted Metal Black. I saw it at gamestop a few times, but I think it was only for PS2, and sadly, my ps2 broke about 3 years ago... Wish they would be on different consoles also.

I'm not too thrilled if the new Twisted Metal ends up with a rated t rating. That would definitely kill the momentum Twisted Metal Black left off. And I agree with what someone wrote, a helicopter combatant looks dumb. Especially when the Twisted metal black boss was a helicopter. I hope they can Primeval and expand Manslaughter character more as i'm curious to know why he hates Calypso so much.
That Nuke mode sounds neat. The entire city being avaliable harkens back to Assault on Cyburbia in TM1, which was my fav level. Sucks it was only the canal for multi, but tech limits -_-* I loved playing TM in the dash view.

TM2 was awesome. So much fun back in the day.

Black was also very entertaining. Head on was cool. TM Lost(Black 2 remnant) was also neat for only 3 levels.

The 989 car combat games (TM3/4)were neat, but they lacked the true TM feel, and TM4 Minion is fugly as is Sweet Tooth. I liked Moonbuggy & Crusher.


What with the new MK, Goldeneye & TM, seems like it's 1995 again.

I've got 1, 2, Black, Small Brawl, and Head On ETE, I have to say that Small Brawl is my least favorite and I still enjoy it.

I don't agree, Twisted Metal is Sony's ace in the hole, It would be like making Halo or Gears of War Multi-platform, but more so because Twisted Metal has a record for the longest running Playstation only series

actually dude, Twisted Metal Black was surviving on momentum created by TM2. it was the lowest selling TM title of its day, having its worldwide sales figures being beaten by TM2s North American sales figures. David Jaffe seems to think its because of the M rating among other things.

Twisted Metal 2 is way sicker than black Imo. Black is just an alternate universe.

It'd be awesome if the new Twisted Metal is more like part 2 or a direct sequel. I liked black but there are a few things I didn't like about it, concerning characters and such (exactly what you mean coltess).

So will this be like Twisted Metal Black or goofy Twisted Metal 1-4? And will we be able to pick regular characters and play a multiplayer deathmatch online or what? Who cares if everyone picks Sweet Tooth, Axel and Grimm, I wants ta pick me some characters

well, the original deathmatch style thing is definitely in, it's too popular to let it go, so the possibility of choosing individual characters instead of factions for online is still a viable option, but probably only for a few modes.

Companies are running out of ideas and so why not bring back the 90's feel with games that were not bad at all back then.Same with movies. All these remakes coming out, but they all end up sucking ass.

i wouldnt consider TM 3 & 4 actual TM games, considering they werent even made by David Jaffe and crew and were definately sub-par. you cant even discuss em at Twisted Metal Alliance. that said, i think TM2 is the best TM so far. the new one seems to take the best from 2 and black.

So i've been playing the Demo a lot lately, and i can honestly say that im moderately pleased with the game, it's really not what i expected it to be.

I've been a TM fan since the first one, but i'm not actually feeling this game.

They could have done way more because of the delay, but all they did was put minor tweaks and some other shit... im still not sure if im buying it though... Maybe i'll just rent it...

Also the inclusion of N.W.A - Straight Outta Compton in the soundtrack is really fucking AWESOME! :D
