I find it funny how people where complaining how mk is more kiddy/cartoony and ect. ect.
Yet are the same people drooling over a legos mk.
To me that would be nothing more than a joke.

Anyways if the WB does get it or someone else I hope they do great with it.

I can't picture an M-rated Lego MK. If anything, that, like MKvsDC, would be geared more towards the all-around audience.

In fact, I think they could do some hilarious things with the "fatalities". Sub-Zero could "pop" the head off his Lego opponent, then they'd just run around bumping into things. Scorpion could set one on fire, and he'd run to the nearest water bucket to put himself out. Raiden could "shock" one that would end up being charred. Tsung could jump into one, and break him/her into little lego pieces as he busts out. Jax could do the arm rip, not unlike Chewbacca in Lego Star Wars, etc...

Those who would expect a gory Lego MK are kinda missing the point. Go play the other Lego games and get the "feel" for the kind of consistent humor and light-heartedness of them all. Leave the "dark" feel to the stand-alone MK games.

I'm going to wait till the final decision on Midway's behalf on what they are going to do .

First thing I've gotta say is that I can't see a 'Lego MK' being anything more than a gimmicky piece of crap.

Anyways, this is some decent news. It would be nice if MK could be scooped up by a hardcore gaming company rather than WB, but it's definitely better than nothing. WB no doubt has more resources than Midway, so there's hope.

Hopefully with WB backing them, the MK team would be able to produce truly epic games, instead of the good, but lacking games that MKDA and MKD were. I loved those two, but there was definitely room for improvement.

As for the gore, violence, etc etc. I honestly don't care anymore as long as the game play is good. MKDA and MKD had a lot of really corny fatalities, but the game play was still remotely fun (although broken and buggy), so I loved them anyways.

I'm not even going to bring up MKA, because... Well the game basically speaks for itself.

I haven't played MK vs DCU, but the gameplay at least looks better, and some of the finishing moves look OKAY (none that are truly great though)

Have you ever actually *played* any of the licensed Lego games? They're very well put together, so I'm not sure where you're getting such insinuations from.

Gore was the reason y mortal kombat started, without it, its boring. R u actually a mk fan? and warner brother is going 2 ruin mortal kombat. As they failed the dark knight game.

That game was being developed by Pandemic and Pandemic fucked that up no solely WB. What about the other "Dark Knight" game that's coming out in a month or so? Arkham Asylum has been getting a ton of great press.

Yeah,every company has a time in their company period where they will end up making some pretty bad games,every company goes through those times.Every company has some pretty talented people on staff to make a really great game.I have faith that if WB gets Midway or MK,I believe you will see some pretty good games.Yes,MKvsDCU2 will probably happen,but hey,lets just wait until we see something official before we start bashing a company that has yet to show what they plan to do with MK if infact that do end up getting it.In fact,the next mk game that gets made even if its by WB,you never know,it might be the best MK ever,just wait until we see what it looks like before you start hating on it and before you start complaining.We saw tons of fans on here change their mind when they finally saw what MKvsDCU looked and played like.Some went from liking it to loving it and some went the other way.I'm excited either way just knowing MK probably hasn't died yet and theres still hope for something special to happen and hopefully it does.Good luck to whatever company gets it and I wish them the best of luck and hope they do MK justice for which it really deserves for a long time.

I've played a few. And yeah, they're fun. They're cute. But they just can't really take the place of what I really wanna see, a solid MK fighting game, that still resembles the MK image. Okay, MK has never really had superb graphics, but it's just not the same watching pieces of lego tearing each other apart. It has its place, as a side game I guess. But I'd much rather see something serious first

Who ever said an MK Lego game would take the place of an MK fighting game? Assuming such a game would happen, one would assume it would be developed independently from any real MK fighter being developed.

For a real MK fighter or side game like Shaolin Monks, have gore, but not with a LEGO title.

For the guy saying WB isn't a hardcore gaming company, beg to differ they have made both hardcore and casual games and remember the new Batman game coming out screams hardcore and casual gamer a like. Can't wait for that

yes ive actually seen it, it was the worst mk ive ever seen. but the movies were great. they did ok without the blood, but i still prefer Jet Li as Liu Kang. Ok so maybe u have a point.

THEY WERE CRAPY!!!!!!!!Wb is going to keep doing that if they buy it, no more blood and gore. and the brutalities sucked due to not much blood. remember in umk3, the brutality they would explode by mele? thats real Mortal Kombat right there. And ur right, the new batman does look good, in fact it's one of a few good games they made. They have tried to make good batman's for the PS2 and Xbox, it didn't go so well. And the Justice Legue wasn't that great either.

I'd be down for WB. I like DC.

The only way i would be good with dc if they promise to make mortal kombat bloody and gorey. then im good.

I've lost count of how many times I've tried to explain to people that the only reason MK vs DC was toned down was because of the inclusion of DC characters.

I'm also tired of citing examples of WB-released titles that were very gory.

It's not wise to use MKvsDC as an example of what WB would do to a stand-alone MK title.

DC has a gorey charecter? in fact batman and superman have gone in the gore zone, including superman in the fight against doomsday? not the cartoon, the comic. i dont like comics but ive seen some of dc's and they can get gore. And Joker was originaly made for blood and gore. But still, u cant do Mortal Kombat fatalities and brutalities correctly without the gore. it would be nice to have animalities and friendships back. Ur not the only one that's tired of disscusing the subject.

Well, you're not going to see DC allowing Superman's head being ripped off, having Wonder Woman disemboweled, or seeing Captain Marvel sliced into pieces..

Games like Watchmen, however, include DC characters that can get into some REALLY bloody situations. It just wasn't appropriate for the "icon" characters that are in MKvsDC, so the toning down was understandable in that situation.
