I like it a lot. I think it's a fun way to keep in touch with online friends, see what they look like, what their interests are, etc. Also a fun way to find some people you used to know and would really have no other way of getting in touch with otherwise. It can get addicting sometimes, ya just need self control.

My thoughts of MySpace and all alike:

Sorry to bring it up to any self important little person that thinks someone actually cares about your blog... Only reason someone would actually care would be if that brought them closer to making out with you... Yeah, he wants to see if he's mentionned on it. You know why? 'Cause he's a self important little person too.
Accept it... nobody gives a rat's ass about you taking your two pictures with your uglier looking girl friend(if that is possible) and your boy friend that looks like someone cut his balls when he was three(well, he's not your friend, you are just the only stupid enough to hang out with him).
Oh! I'm sorry if you thought that your poem actually was worth more than shit. Rest assured, someone read it: Me. Yes, I am conducting a study on what would it feel like having your brain sucked out with a straw, kicked in the balls and the dipped in acid... but then again I took it too far and ended up reading your "song". My review: if I had punctured every inch of my skin with a butcher knife, fell from a clift afterwards, got burned from the inside out and someone puked on my wounds, I'd feel more rejoiced that reading your poem...

I actually think myspace is pretty cool. I'm on almost every day. I think one of the better reasons for myspace is to keep in contact with friends you might not see on a regular basis, or haven't seen in a while. Like people you went to school with, etc. I really only have people I've know or met in person on myspace, but there are a few exceptions.

I do agree that some people are nothing but myspace whores who are just into it just to see how many people they can get on thier friends list. Which is one of the gayest reasons to join myspace IMO. I also don't like the spam friend request which get quit anoying.

I kind of wish MyspaceIM was bigger, theres hardly no one on it. I personally like it much better than AIM (stand alone), MSN, and Yahoo.

I have a borther who has said he is 100 on there. I have to change it back every day. He has had it set as 14, 11, 5, 21, 26, 28(when i'm on) 32, 67, 90, and 100. No joke. It says that i'm from Ohi (which is were i was born) even though i am now a resident of LA. It says i wanna kill slash, even though i only hate him enough to hurt him. Alot of the info on there is his, not mine. I choose to not post much of myself.

I dont have one but it seems great for those people who are real social.
From what ive seen, most people who hate myspace for no real reason just kinda have their heads up their own ass.

I think myspace is great, its a good and simple way for me to keep in contact with friends from back home while i'm away at university and with people at university. If someone tries to add me i dont know i generally dont bother excepting them, unless they look particularly cool and of course arent clones with loads of ads on the page.

I use it sometimes...I used to log in every day,,,now its every few weeks.

I will log in to listen to predator151's rap's now and then

Oh, yeah, i almost forgot.

I only use it to keep in touch with all my friends. I was able to find people who I used to go to High school and elementry school with. It is boring in many ways but it also has it's uses.

For something that sucks so much...it sure has a lot of followers 175 million

Good Point. as for me, I'm a member and can tell you that there is three different kinds of myspace users:

Artists: Myspace seems to be filled with both the Artist we know very much and upcoming ones no ones heard of. these users usually promote their music and have record numbers of friends who are their fans or fellow artists.

Friends: The ones who actually ARE real people just trying to stay in contact with old friends, make new ones, or both.

Whores: now comes the annoying ones, these users are what make some people hate myspace. They have no other purpose other then to:

See many friends they can get and often jam your comments page with lame ads and Fake Giveaways.
or
Just Get Layed

Either way, they are REAL idiots that make myspace look bad and often attract online Predators.

Myspace is nothing more than an internet fad.

I have one, and I think it's great. I moved last summer and it allowed me to stay in touch with my friends.

Nothing creepy has ever happened to me on there before, except this one 44 year old guy trying to become my friend repeatedly.

But then I told him to fuck off and blocked him, and haven't had any problems since.

I think it's quite useful in finding friends you haven't talked to in years or you moved away from.

I agree with this. Also I have found several musicains to jam with on my space. I have even started a band with one of them. As I understand it, MySpace was originaly supposed to be a music support site anyways. It is an effective tool for networking because half the country is on it. I also agree with all of the complaints about my space....spam, pedos, emo's, and general freakiness, but that is only because so many people are on there. Try walking around a major city and shaking hands with random people sometime, I promise you will have about the same experience. Personaly I just don't friend list anyone I don't know (I.R.L.) on there, it is way safer like that. I have met a couple of musicians from the site, but we did so in a professional capacity (meeting at a gig, or with an entire band present), so it wasn't very concerning.
