Also, in the Comics did Merlyn train with the League of Shadows?

Also the guy Oliver took down at the beginning of the latest episode is known as Brutale in the DCU, and first appeared in a Nightwing comic.

No powers whatsoever (yet). The DCU supervillains that appear have a more grounded take to their abilities. For example Deadshot, he has the targeting thing on his eye, but he coats his bullets in poison in case the bullet doesn't kill them.

So no new episodes for the next two weeks, we're getting repeats of episodes 11 (Trust but verify) and 12 (Vertigo) instead...

Also considering the Stinger of episode 16, I think maybe Laurel's sister might end up as Black Canary here

No but there was Black Canary allusion.
Ollies gf looks at photo of lil girl (Laurels sis)and her dad with Black canary in cage. She says "oh nice photo of you!" Laurel replies it aint her and the Canary was gift to her sis but it kept them up "All night with her loud cries" or something among those lines

What are the chances of a Ollie/Velicity romance?

I know hes going to end up with Laurel at some point but the two don't have much on screen chemistry at all.
