As for Powergirl people like her. I do. But hell, I love Zatanna and Catwoman because I'm a true fan of the two. I don't sunbath naked think of their more standout parts. I stay dedicated by reading the comics or playing the games.

I'm just saying fans minds and loyalties stretch far beyond that of sex or sex affiliated characteristics.

If there was, why would Chun Li automatically be less preferable? Why is the male counterpart immediately better? Maybe people are sick of Superman. Maybe there's something refreshing about the feminine version.

Either way, previous versions will be rated individually. As they should be. If they make a better and more interesting version of Sub-Zero, I'm not going to keep prioritizing Sub-Zero just because he came first.


Because half the female roster is made up of bad girls in leather. Wonder Woman looks like Tim Curry, and Hawkgirl happens to be Hawkgirl. Powergirl is visually more interesting than Superman to me. Bright white is really refreshing in a game like this, and the cape draped over one shoulder is kinda cool looking. Sometimes, a design just works.

And again: the tits don't do much for me.

I'm disappointed. But Batgirl has proven that NRS can take characters and work magic with them, despite likely not having complete creative control over which characters are chosen. Still, I do hold that my "vanilla" theory when it comes to characters that are similar is valid. Having to develop characters of similar style to characters already developed forces the team to think more creatively and can cause the previous character to feel a bit out-dated, aka "vanilla".

I'm getting to the point now, that I'm really struggling to make sentences make sense. I'm really fucking wasted. It's hard to reiterate a point that I made before.

I'll try and sum it up. Batgirl turned out great... but at the expense of Batman's integrity. I don't want that to happen to Supes with Zod and Power Tits. Though I will appreciate the work and thought that goes into them, and I will enjoy playing them. I'm just really anal about consistency... when some characters just seem so plain compared to others, it's kinda jarring for me.

I can definitely understand. When I think of Diverse. Obvious characters come to mind. My boy MM, why? Can phase through objects, shapeshift, telepath, martian vision etc. There so much that can be done with MM, he's not just another Superman, he stretches far beyond that. I can go days on MM knowledge I built up from the years.

I bet a majority here never even read a Jemm Son of Saturn comic or a Despero comic. Am I right?

I'm not some off the boat new comic fan. I been at comics right around the same time i was at MK. Back in school i was a geek / nerd because i devoted my time to this shit. I don't rant because I want an extra character with cool moves or looks. I fight for the ones I'm 100% all heart for.

And my point is, I'm sure powergirl fans can relate when they feel that sense of disappointment being led on by people who contradict them too.

If we wanna go with what you were saying, about Innovative. Then if I were to add DLC just because it would add a shit load of diversity to the already present cast.

As much as I'd like to believe that, I'm pretty sure it's gonna end at a second season pass. Eight characters is more than I'd thought they'd do(I had it pegged around six), so I can't see much more than that happening. Gotta start on the new MK some time or another.

If you don't have the time or desire to do that, it's cool. All I'm saying is that aesthetics aren't the best medium to influence a fighting game's roster.

I don't care about Red Hood, but the others sound promising. Definately better characters than the first 4 DLC characters.

Well first off, I did. That said, you don't encounter any of that in a gameplay match. The design is the only thing you have immediate access too. Don't get me wrong. If I didn't like Power Girl's story, I wouldn't have picked her (well, I picked Beetle, but you know what I mean).

The reverse is true as well. I freakin' LOVE Red Hood. I absolutely adore the character independently of visual design, and don't want him anywhere fucking near injustice.

Yea man, I could go on for fucking ever about DC characters I wanna see in fighting games. I'm largely grateful for this game. It's incredibly fun. It has RAVEN!! And it's just the first good DC fighter. I just can't help the nerd in me that wishes NRS would play it a little less safe with their roster choices.

I don't understand. You like Power Girl for the same reason you like Red Hood, but you don't want Red Hood in the game like you do Power Girl? Also, how do you not encounter powers and personality in game? Those are probably the two biggest influences in a characters' moveset.

I don't know if I'm on the same page as you right now... But whatever. I still hold that the majority of Power Girl's votes are because of her tits. Honestly, there's a good chance that if she didn't have them tits, she wouldn't have survived Crisis. If you like her, cool. I like her too. But I find others more suited to the game, Blue Beetle included.
