Because visually, Red Hood is Deathstroke with no sword. Sure, he's a great character, but none of the things I like about him are going to surface in a match.


I didn't mean to include powers and personality in that category. I was referring to story elements, but I should have been more specific.

He's got that bitchin' biker jacket. But yea, I don't see another gun based character being all that impressive. They could do some stuff with him... maybe a command grab where he headbutts the enemy with his mask, leaving them stunned. I dunno... I'm just thinking.


Minion, I'm gonna hold off on listing more characters, cause I feel like it's just gonna be a nerdy back and forth. But yea... there's so many characters that could end up being wicked sick.

Seems like I missed a great discussion while I was asleep.

First off, and I realise this might sound a bit hypocritical coming from a guy with a signature as mine, but there's more to PG than just her rack. But it would also be ignorant of me not to mention it (elephant in the room, and whatnot), because that's probably the thing that makes her stand out. It's like her 'logo', if you will.



Even without the boob window (N52 costume), she remains just as awesome.

But the main reason I like Power Girl, is because she's a fun version of Superman. Superman is all serious, uptight, ... and to be honest, kinda boring.

Power Girl is the complete opposite. She's a fun, carefree, vibrant person. She plunges in head first, and sometimes that comes back to bite her in the ass. She's got that 'whoops' factor, if I can put it like that. Plus she's from an alternate reality, and I'm really a sucker for alternate realities.

And to respond to the "take away the tits and nobody would vote for her" comment: if they had put Supergirl on the DLC poll instead of PG, I would have voted for her. I just really like Kara Zor-El, no matter what reality she's from. (That's also why I'd love it if PG comes with a Supergirl alternate.)

But yeah, I'm just going to wait and see if this rumor is true. Don't want to set myself up for a fall.

I don't know why but I vastly prefer Supergirl to Power Girl. Always have seemingly inexplicably.

And the other:

Well, the short answer that Batgirl is not that visually refreshing to me. She looks good in the game, but her core design is batman with femine qualities. It's just not that interesting to me. Power Girl is an further deviation from the Superman character, and that helps her case a lot. At first glance, I wouldn't even know she was kryptonian.

Batgirl doesn't get that benefit. Aesthetically, without knowing any additional details, she just looks like a woman in the batsuit. I don't hate her or anything. Perhaps there are details in the comics that would sway me the other direction, but I don't read comics.

My point was that being first doesn't mean you win by default. However, nothing about Batgirl has sold me (on paper; I liked her gameplay trailer). Frost is inferior to Sub-Zero, but not because Sub-Zero was first.

What if there is no second lot of characters and they're will be two DLCs at the bottom left and two at the top right so they wrap around the characters in the middle?

Ditto. She is down to earth and cute in a human-like way, which sets her apart from Sups and most other heroes. That is why I like her.
However, I am quite scared what NRS will do with her face. So far their track record was kind of...bad, to say the least.

I disagree that Red Hood is just like Deathstroke.
Remember, Red Hood(Jason Todd)used to be Robin. He's gonna bring his acrobatic style along with the guns. I picture a combo of Harley Quinn and Knightwing, more than Deathstroke.
I'd really like to see his style closer to Knightwing. Have him with his trademark knife and acrobatic style. Press B or circle and he pulls out dual handguns and has a different move set. This(IMO)works great with Knightwing! He could have the assault rifle as just a special move.

Some of us want Swamp Thing or Black Canary or Dr Fate or Poison Ivy etc, There'll always be a character that you want that won't make it into the roster, too many characters and not enough spots. I'm in the minority that wanted to Starfire, but I think this 2nd list is a good selection.

The most requested MM finally gets some attention, and they have another powerful well-known female character. And Sub-Zero is there to complete the Sc/SZ combo so we can have some wager quotes lol.

But I'm gonna have my doubts without more sources, but this will likely be true.

Boon posted on his twitter account that blue beetle has received the fewest votes in the **unofficial** pole. He then went on to tell someone else that it doesn't conclusively mean he will or will not be added.

Yeah, clearly by too many Batman characters they actually meant not enough.

I say, bring on the Batman characters! I prefer those over any of the other DCU characters. Though I have a soft spot for the Teen Titans as well due to the cartoon series, so I welcome Starfire and Beast Boy as well. All the rest can go to hell for all I care, though due to my respect for MINION, I would also give Martian Manhunter a vote.

If I could choose which DLC characters would become available in the future, it would be:
- Poison Ivy
- Talia or Ra's al Ghul
- Beast Boy
- Starfire
- Martian Manhunter
