ha, ha yeah I guess not everyone likes Pete. I felt he was most likely Smallvilles least important character however, when he was in the show the season when Clark told him his Secret about his powers, Pete was important in some shows. His role was key, that's why he left because he couldn't handle the burden of Clark's secret anymore. Well, one of the reasons. His family moved, that was the other reason.

Martha I read MIGHT come back as a cameo or once in a while, the actress wanted out for a while I read so don't expect her back this year, possibly next year.

I'm thinking since as I said earlier knowing how Pete feels about Lex and all, Lex must either blackmail him or has a hell of an incentive for Pete to accept a job from Lex.

Pete is like Chowe in the sense that they're made up characters that they wanted to add to Clark's/Supermans younger years besides Lana(who is a comic book canon character) I heard though now that given how popular Chloe's character became on Smallville, that's she's been in comics as a canon character. That's cool given her healing powers and her charisma.

Can you believe that we now have to wait 3 fucking weeks until there's a new show???? Damn that sucks ass, and it pissed me off!!! The show had a break, why is it on hiatus again?

Any way, the good news is, from the promo I saw this past Thursday, it looks like it'll be well worth the wait.

Cause of the strike....STILL haven't agreed to something yet but the good news is they're making progress so chances are in Smallvilles case since they taped 16 shows already, they'll be spacing it out most likely until they get a deal finalized then start shooting more again.

This season though will be shorter though then past seasons I read, that and the strike assured that

Latest word I heard it's near to finished and a deal is practically made, but since some shows are cancelled or done for this year already that's not confirmed just yet. I'm hoping they can make a few more at least for Smallville hehe.

BTW, next week is Terminator's season finale.

Update:Ok, apparentely new shows will be starting on March 13th.....so yeah, looks like a few weeks of reruns..the good news, I heard the strike is pretty much resolved for the most part, FINALLY....lol

BTW, big time spoiler here hehe, sounds awesome! MKgeek won't like lol.

Well, tonight's episode is a re-run of Persona. They are finally going to have a new episode next week. It should be most interesting.

Well, I didn't read whatever spoilers mkflegend brought up, and I don't want to know. I'd rather just wait until the episode airs next week to find our what happens.

There's tons of great Smallville sites or threads, there's a bunch on the cw site in which that place and www.kryptonsite.com are the only two places really where you can find out the great music that you hear on Smallville, believe me lol as a huge fanatic of the show some songs are tough to find surprisingly lol

Largest I've seen so far have been cw, kryptonsite, dccomics.com then everything else. That site you gave though is not bad though, I've seen it once before a while ago while I was searching Smallville threads. This one is the biggest on on just about any game site and definitely the biggest for a fighting game site lol so I'm happy it's done well over the past 3+ years. I personally go to krypton or cw for my info or read the smallville magazine which often hints or tells spoilers for future shows hehe.

Cool, I'll have to check that krypton site out. I normally go to the superherohype because I’m already a member there. I joined for the new dark knight movie and seen that there was a smallville section.

I’m also glad this thread lasted throughout the years, one of my favorite shows on the air. The show keeps getting better and better.

Depending on the kind of fan you are, if you like to find out things before or just wait until the show happens. We have both kinds of fans in this thread as you see lol

Yeah, I can't wait to see more Justice League members pop up and see if Lex is going to find out Clark's aka Supermans secret by the time the series ends

Nahh, it was far from a waste because they based the idea of Lex and Clark off an actual canon comic that most fans aren't even aware of in DC history, Clark and Lex at one point DID indeed meet as teens in the comics and were friends...before the future events happened and they became enemies forever.

They builded it up very well IMO, in fact most fans were asking "when is Lex going to turn evil already"? that I've read on forums, Smallville mag etc

So I really don't think it was a waste honestly, then there's the other characters that they builded up well, portraying his H.S. love (lana) who was a canon character in the comics and believe it or not MKgeek, Pete is also a canon character....

He was Clark's H.S. friend in the comics way back, he also winds up marrying Lana believe it or not but I don't think that will happen in Smallville, they might hint at it or something though should Clark and Lana break up before the series endssmile

He probably will I'm sure, supposedly this is his last season so the way they'll building it up chances are he'll find out at the end of this season some time because Actor Michael Rosembaum's contract ends after this year and supposedly doesn't want to come back for the final season of Smallville according to some recent souces I've read.

SubZero7th also said this as well I believe, I know he also(like myself) looks into these things sometimes.

Yeah, on the Pete thing and him marrying lana I didn't find that out until a few months ago. Pete in the comics marries Lana at some point and I believe gets involved in politics or something.

Ohh I never said that, in fact I'd be very surprised if Pete should stay. He might visit from time to time and this week's show when he comes back it'll be 3 years + since he's been in Smallville so I wouldn't worry that much if you don't like Pete.

Just keep note:Pete marries Lana in the comics, I'd be very surprised if Smallville took that route, they might hint at it but I don't think it would relevant to do that in a show strickly about Clark/Superman honestly so I wouldn't worry honestly about the "Pete & Lana" thing. That doesn't mean they'll do that in Smallville the show man lol.

From what I read with season 8, Kreuk and Rosembaum are still in talks about their contracts. Most likely returning for a limited number of episodes, no longer being full time regulars.

It makes sense Kreuk is not staying on long, this should give more development to Clark/Lois.

With Lex not staying long, I think this will be a good chance to focus on some of the others of Superman’s rouge gallery. You can tell something big with Brainiac is about to happen. Maybe more like Lobo, Darkseid or Doomsday will come. (I’m not sure when they first appear in the comics.)

I'm sure Kreuk will come back for more then Michael(guessing here due to Kruek's movie career kicking off now) plus, although I'm not entirely sure but I've also read rumors that both of these two actors didn't always get along on set. I don't know how true this is however, just a rumor I've read on other Smallville thread thru out online as well as something noted once in the Smallville mag but supposedly the mag at least said that both said there was nothing wrong....who knows about that one?

Yeah, Brainiac could perhaps bring Darkseid or maybe Toyman will pop up or something. Doomsday I don't see showing up because of the actual timeline of which that happened, but he might be hinted at.

or

Brainiac might cut a deal with Lex who knows against Clark and the Justice League

Ok. I just got done watching tonight's episode, which was pretty decent overall. I wouldn't say it was an excellent episode, but it had some interesting elements to it.

Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
So Pete is back, and he chews kryptonite-laced chewing gum "mmmm...kryptonite..tongue", giving him the power to stretch like Mr. Fantastic. His return was short-lived but pretty good nonetheless. It seems that he still has some feelings for Chloe. Who can blame him? tongue

Speaking about that, Jimmy also still has feelings for Chloe. He's of course the one who gets the picture of Pete rescuing Kara on his cell phone. Other than that, can't say too much for Jimmy.

Chloe is good as usual. It was kind of goofy for her to make reference to the slogan of Stride gum, but there we go with the subliminal messages, lol. She's still uncomfortable about the secret of her powers, and she's in a bit of a jam due to Lex having so much control over things in the Daily Planet right down to monitoring the computer activities. He's likely using this to especially catch Chloe in hopes of finding something out about Clark.

Lana doesn't do much in this episode, and Lois isn't in this one. She tries to warn Kara about Lex, and Kara doesn't trust her and Clark. Going into Kara, I'm a little bit annoyed that the interaction between her and Clark after her memory loss is pretty much nonexistent. It's kind of weird.

Lionel is another character who doesn't do too much, but there's some more interesting stuff with him. Somehow, he found Kara's bracelet and stored it in his vault, not telling Clark about it. Another thing that disappointed me was that Clark and Lionel weren't shown to have the little discussion about Lionel keeping that secret from him. Maybe it has to do with Lionel not wanting Kara to find out her true identity due to her getting chummy with Lex.

Lex is still bent on finding more about Clark, and he's getting closer and closer. Near the very end of the episode, one of his people acquired information in relation to the meteor shower, and the woman was about to mention something after that. I'm sure what that thing is will be revealed in the next episode.






Speaking of the next episode, it looks very interesting, and it seems to be one of those episodes that will lead to wrapping this short season up. So after that episode will be the season finale. Clark looks like he'll be getting into a heap of trouble. I think that if there's going to be a season 8, it'll likely focus on Clark having to deal with Brainiac. What information Brainiac acquired from Dax-Ur, it could be very dangerous.
