i'll be honest i LOVE teen titans to death, so much so in fact that i promised myself that i would main Sladestroke because of his uttterly badass appearance in the show
however this reveal...underwelmed me (not even welmed me). I see the trailer and think "meh"
her voice is unnerving to say the least I by no means am a Voice Actor Natzi in fact i have a hard time hating a voice, but she pardon my bluntness sounds like a man, even though they where going for the "possesed by a demon" thing i don't think that voice should alaways be that way, then again i'm still a bit upset Ron Pearlman isn't voicing Sladestroke in this game
her fighting style is OK one of my favirote MK characters is Ermac and she didn't look that interesting, except her super which is still a bit underwelming
even before her reveal i didn't really want her in the game because there are many people that simply would have been more interesting majic users like (i hate to say it again) Dr. Fate, Zatanna, or even Equinox
overall i'm underwelmed and hope the Black Lightning Gamplay is more exciting then this batch of reveals (yes i'm including Doomsday who's only saving grace is an awesome super)

Zatanna is trash next to Raven.

I was being generous. But seriously, come on. Raven is a half-breed born after her human mother was raped by an immortal demon. From birth, she was destined to be a portal for an apocalypse and constantly has to battle prejudice and her inner demons to maintain her indomitable desire to do good. Raven is the only daughter of Trigon's seven children and along with her ability to absorb/heal physical and emotional pain, she has power over the sin "pride" which she can use to manipulate enemies to give her an upper hand in battle. She can also sense all emotions, fly, mass teleport, control shadows, project her consciousness into others, use telekinesis and has some precognitive sense. Raven is incredibly sweet and generally will do anything to help her friends and innocence, as shown by her constant will to absorb peoples' pain so that they won't have to suffer through it, regardless of the effect it takes on her. Compare her to Zatanna, a...flirtatious (that's all I can think of to describe her)... magician who inherited her mostly "undefined" powers from her father (or mother?) and mostly manifests them by speaking backwards. She can be nearly rendered helpless by muting her and she's used her powers to lobotomize villains AND Batman. Yea, she's super sexy and extremely powerful... but she's just not that intriguing. Yea, she lost her father and yea she had to deal with the consequences of the lobotomies... but that's nothing compared to the conflict Raven has to deal with. Zatanna's origins and powers just aren't anywhere near as cool as Raven's. Zatanna can do like... everything... but that's lame to me. Raven is defined and unique. Zatanna's really just one of DC's many suped-up magic users. She really doesn't have much personality at all.

Yea. Kori is sexy as fuck and she knows it. I don't like how they did her in New 52. I haven't read any Outlaws comics yet, but I did read some articles on how they gave Tamaranians a "who gives a fuck" disposition.
Apparently they don't even register humans as living creatures... just shapes and colors or some shit. What the fuck is up with that? Kori is supposed to be all about unbridled emotion. Tamaranians never hid anything they felt... that's why Star had so much trouble adapting to human behavior, since we tend to hide our true feelings. It's like they turned them into the exact opposite. Why!?

That's actually an overexaggeration. The first issue was pretty poorly written, and internet critics got carried away as a result, as they sometimes do, especially when cries of "sexism" vs. "feminism" come up...but later issues made it a lot more clear what's going on with Nu52 Starfire's personality.
It's more of a racist/species-ist "you all look the same to me" attitude, but a lot of it was also her faking, pretending she doesn't care about Jason Todd or Arsenal when she really does, because she doesn't want to get close to people (possibly to avoid a repeat of some bad breakup she went through with Nightwing in the past. We haven't seen that for sure yet, but it's been hinted at several times, like her having a closet of Dick's costumes in her spaceship like he used to bunk there with her, but not wanting to talk about him and pretending she doesn't remember him.)

Hmm... I guess that sounds slightly better. I also recall reading somewhere that Tamaranians don't view sex as an emotional experience.
Regardless, this still really goes against what Tamaranians were made to be, prior to New 52. Pretty lame if you ask me

She gets a lot better as the story goes on. What you probably read was the initial thoughts of Kori from issue 1. I'm sure if you go back and read updated thoughts, it would be a lot more positive. She's come a long way from issue 1 :). Tamaraneans are still emotion based, Starfire's character actually seems more believable coming from a woman who spent most of her teen life as a slave and a bit of her childhood as a princess.

Eh. I dunno. Like I mentioned, I read that apparently Tamaraneans in New 52 see sex as an emotionless act. Also, just the fact that she is allegedly hiding her emotions, completely goes against her portrayal prior to New 52. She was a crazy bitch. If she got mad, she was fucking mad. If she loved someone, she wore it on her sleeve. You could constantly see her emotions driving her and sometimes overwhelming her, causing her to make rash decisions.
Here is a quote that I've come across multiple times when reading about Tamaraneans in the New 52, "To the Tamaraneans, humans are little more than passing sights and smells, but for Starfire Todd and Harper somehow stand out and matter to her."
I dunno. I just don't like the idea of an emotionally distant Kory. I'll eventually give it a read, but there are still tons of comics that I want to read before I get into New 52 territory. Hopefully by then, she'll be fleshed out.

Generally Doctor Fate is far more powerful than Raven. Both of their powers have fluctuated, but Dr. Fate has waaaaay more feats under his belt. In certain situations, Raven could maybe hold her own against Fate for a while, but unless Raven is at her absolute peak and Dr. Fate is having a really bad day, I doubt she could ever beat him single-handedly. Fate is one of the most powerful magic users in the DC Universe.

She doesn't really hide her emotions moreso that she lives in the now, rather than the past. It's funny because she does still wear her emotions on her sleeve. When she's angry, she still goes batshit crazy lol, and when she experiences a new emotion, she's more curious about it, I actually prefer it to the old Kori. Pre-52 Kori's default emotion was happiness, where reboot Kori's default emotion is curiosity. She remembers and appreciates her time with Nightwing, but she doesn't dwelve into it because she lives in the present, I kinda like that.

Pre New 52 Kory never had "default" emotion. She's not the bubbly character she was in the cartoon. And how does she live in the present if she hides her feelings because she's afraid to get hurt and keeps a room full of her old boyfriend's outfits?

Well, that's where Jason and Roy come in. They're 3 'broken' people that find comfort in each other's company, even though they all give each other a hard time because they don't really want to show how they really feel about the others. In a way, this small band of misfits acts as an ongoing therapy session. The thing that many people missed (especially in the beginning), is that a lot of what is being said in the books by the characters is meant to be sarastic, and as we all know: sarcasm doesn't translate well written down.
There's this one issue where Jason first met Kori, and while it starts out as a 'Jason is a jerk, Starfire is a bimbo', it ends with so much more.

lol while she wasn't as bubbly as the cartoon, she was still a pretty cheerful woman. I grew up on the comics, my mom had a huge stash and let me read them when I was little. She was always cheery and nice until pissed off lol.
As for the clothes, read this page and it'll explain it, you sound just like Jason Todd

Star was only so cheerful when she was around her close friends. She was pretty snarky to a lot of non-titan heroes.
So, anyway she keeps those outfits because she has fond memories of Nightwing? How is that not living in the past? And how is an "ongoing therapy session" not living in the past. There's a lot of contradicting thoughts, here.
Whatever, different strokes for different folks. I'll reserve complete judgement 'till I read the series. But until I do, the Starfire I know would never stifle her emotions, regardless of what they were.

Actually, before the reboot, Starfire went to therapy at Donna's request and turned out to be hiding a lot of emotions, she was acting cheerful even though she was really sad and lonely. I got a little teary-eyed reading it lol. Respecting the past and living it are two different things. one more page, and I'll stop posting reference lol. I just love Rocafort's art style, he draws her sooo beautifully
