I just thought I'd share it since we've had so many different "confirmed" accounts of voice actors playing different characters that it seems plausible this is how they'll be able to release so many.

Like I said though, even I'm not sure how much of it I believe. Particularly the "Scorpion as a skin for Batman" part since they have so little in common moves-wise.

I don`t believe for a second that Scorpion would be a skin for Bats...The projectiles and air gliding...no way.

Only things in common between both are the hook and the leg ''slide''.

But thinking about it, re-skinning it would be a cool way for Scorpion to be different and even have him BEFORE he was Scorpion.

He could have a Spider-man type thing between his arms for gliding like a ninja and end with the same glide down. And the projectiles, dude, ninja stars and smoke bombs :O

They could even make him human and just name him Hanzo Hasashi. Same spear and everything, just not a demon.

When I first read the Scorpoin as Batman skin thing I was all like ..

But it could work. Grappling hook = Spear

Batarangs they could give him throwing stars (He is a ninja after all)

The robot bats is tricky, but maybe balls of flame he calls from the Netherrealm ?

He would need a new super move though.

Either way, I could tolerate him as a skin much more than as an actual character.

Theoretically, since Super Moves are mostly composed of canned animations, and since intros and win poses can be changed from costume to costume (i.e. Superman's are different for each skin), then an alt skin could have a different super as long as it starts with the same first hit (in Batman's case for example, connecting with a projectile to the opponent's feet) and does the same amount of damage.

I could be completely wrong about that, mind you. I'm just making an educated guess about how they work.
Even so, Batman's moves seem a poor template to graft Scorpion to. His grapple doesn't even do the same thing the spear does, it pulls Batman to the opponent rather than the other way around.

Is it me, or they're going to give that sorry excuse of a "creator's pet" Batman's prototype super? It fits since he can use his spear to hang them by their ankles when he goes for the drop kick. Oh & if I see that abysmal MK9 Primary being used, there will be chunks on deck I will be willing to spew.

Yeah they could really use a more interesting character. Johnny Cage or Sonya would've been golden during clashes for example.
