Week 24, Season '13: Another massive 2-on-2 kombat battle leads reigning KFL Champion Sekktor into an intriguing 1-on-1 challenge! This time; Unknown265 rises to the top of the ranks to call out the Battle Arena winner -- while SubMan799 takes care of 265's partner in crime: mwgrant0!

Contention stakes continue to complicate as the members of the fallen Regime fight amongst themselves for a claim to the gold, and other top challengers emerge: TonyTheTiger, Jerrod, m0s3pH, CaTigeReptile & LordSkarlet all emerging prospects!

If and when one rises above the rest, they will have to best Sekktor! The Battle Arena Tournament winner proved too strong for Unknown265. Though in a mutual class, it was a straight forward victory for the defending champion. It remains to be seen if the result will be as straight forward when veteran champions come for the young KFL title holder!

Week 25, Season '13: The question: How would Sekktor fair when confronted by seasoned veteran of The Great Arena? The answer: Arriving in the form of a punishing performance by top ranking contender m0s3pH!

The long time KFL competitor put an end to his history of near misses: pummelling Sekktor in a comprehensive KFL Championship win - his first! m0s3pH may have risen to the top, but he too will quickly find himself challenged by the pressures of the gold! The Regime's jealous tournament has produced a challenger capable of besting any in the arena on his day! Jerrod falls, paving the way for "The Predator" TonyTheTiger to take his shot!

Meanwhile; former champion redman reunited with Resistance ally Jironobou in an effort to reverse the fortunes he's endured since defeating The Regime! His alliance was to thwart the plans of LordSkarlet -- who already joined a long list of fighters capitalizing on redman's stock as a former champion! Instead; The Resistance duo both provided a launching pad, this time for a brand new 2-man force featuring LordSkarlet's friend - legoslayer10! Kombat continues!...

Week 26, Season '13: A tournament fought by the fallen Regime produces an apex predator poised to pounce on the KFL Championship! TonyTheTiger's history in the KFL has shown his ability to make powerful inroads through sprinted competition. During 2012's Armageddon Month he cut through the competition -- now he cleans his claws of the blood of his fellows in preparation for m0s3pH!

Down but not out; Jerrod keeps himself in the championship picture with an impressive upset victory against "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile! The instrumental Resistance fighter is known to produce far greater performances, but was whittled away by Jerrod in yet another compelling fight!

Compelling in their own right are Sekktor & SubMan799. Sekktor may have lost his KFL Championship, but unlike his counterpart redman, he has managed to maintain a measure of victory that keeps him right at the top of the ranking stakes! A duo contest presented this for study -- Jironobou unable to help redman get back in the winner's circle! A factor not true of LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 -- mutual victors over the eager combination of Unknown265 & mwgrant0!

In the end; another KFL Championship reign was brought to a sudden finale! TonyTheTiger was forced to dig deep, but did so successfully in his clash with m0s3pH -- earning his first KFL Championship reign from the first-time champ! It speaks to the fierce competition that has overwhelmed the ranks of the Kombat Fight League! With no definitive champion or contender, it is with great opportunity that the KFL prepares for another special event: The Komplete PC Battle Royal Special promises a title opportunity to 25 fighters! The all-in battle takes place July 2nd!

Rising from the ashes of The Regime -- TonyTheTiger had proven his predatory instincts made him the ultimate survivor in a world again gripped by mutual competition. The law of the jungle had been particularly harsh to Genku, whose pursuit of greatness began from scratch in January when he lost the KFL Championship he covets so!

The Komplete Edition Battle Royal was Genku's shot at a second chance. Over the previous weeks he had battled hard to overcome former champions and top contenders: one of the many to punish redman with little regard for his contributions. The elimination of LordSkarlet at minute twenty-nine was Genku's final step back to greatness! TonyTheTiger merely the means to which greatness would be confirmed. A convincing victory completes the saga of Genku -- but as the wheel turns, so too does the burden of greatness! Just beyond view another feline would fall and another former champion would rise!

During a time of war, he had become a hero. Since the fall of The Regime, however, redman has become the target of a hostile field of would-be challengers. A champion no more, he wandered the realm seeking purpose, but finding only new betrayals to the truths he had once held so dear. During the Komplete Edition Battle Royal - redman found himself face-to-face with his final ally: Jironobou. In the heat of battle, he finished "The Prophet" and kept on fighting. Contention brought him into conflict with another former champion - TheNinjasRock071394. Distractions would keep former allies apart for only so long.

During the fights of Week 27, m0s3pH had earned a decisive victory over CaTigeReptile. The claim was his to be #1 contender, but a predator wounded is a dangerous thing. Dethroned but far from destroyed, TonyTheTiger would emerge to spoil m0s3pH's grand designs! In the main event; "The Predator" attempted to assert himself over the Lord of kombat. Still suffering the sting of his battle with Genku, TTT was reckless in his pursuit. A punishing win the perfect result for m0s3pH's quest for gold!

Punishment was on Jironobou's mind when he faced his former ally. Together they had launched a Resistance that restored freedom and fairness to the league! Bitter, unforgiving fairness! Locked in battle their history disappeared! "The Prophet" could only see retribution and glory in his future. redman could only see another dagger in the heart of his Resistance!

In a new era where the fit survive and the strong thrive -- m0s3pH had risen through the ranks to prove himself worthy of the KFL Championship! It was a path already walked by the reigning champion, who had to outlast 24 other fighters in a Komplete Battle Royal to stake his claim! Genku had worked hard for his championship, but he had not been forced to face m0s3pH in the multi-man scramble!

Genku had been forced to overcome a great predator of the arena, as had m0s3pH. TonyTheTiger was a wounded champion on the warpath. Stepping up to face him down was another feline fighter with a contrasting code of guarding the purity of the league: CaTigeReptile! Though she would engage with honor, even "The Guardian" could not forget the glory of her three championship reigns. Though she would engage tooth and claw to stem the feral fury of TTT -- she would do it knowing her chance to take gold again would only improve! Improve, it did. A hard fought victory pushed her a step closer to the ultimate prize!

The Great Genku would not surrender his prize easily. The history between he and m0s3pH was extensive -- an epic rivalry written in wins and losses. Their most gruelling battles had been decided on a final, exhausted punch. Their most furious struggles required only one survive a harrowing exchange. In this KFL Championship match, it would be the latter style that would determine the victor. As the dust settled -- Genku stood triumphant! Enduring as champion with a heinous +7 impact over the Lord of kombat!

The nature of kombat is a mysterious force. The furies that compel fighters to engage and the powers that determine their strength on any given day can be fickle and cruel! The winds of change would sweep the sands of the fighting arena on Week 30, surprising and upsetting the kombatants far and wide!

Having entered the league quietly in recent weeks: a wizened warrior called Murdoink was cutting an unbeatable path through the preliminary ranks of the league! It seemed as if his momentum would make him unstoppable, but on this night of fights, blacksaibot would stand before him with unnerving strength and courage! In a close fought encounter, Murdoink would have his first taste of solo defeat in the KFL!

Former KFL Champion The_Purple_Bunny had taken a shine to a young fighter by the name of Philip94! This non-descript kombatant had become an unlikely menace to the fighting ranks, enjoying an unstoppable run as part of a powerful new 2-man team! Together TPB & Philip94 had already beaten some of the best duos, but on this week, they would meet their match! LordSkarlet has been on the verge of championship greatness for quite some time! He was the man Genku beat to earn his title winning shot! Teamed with friend and ally legoslayer10 -- he may have found the keys to cut through to the top! A decisive victory against an undefeated team sending shockwaves through the ranks!

"The Predator" TonyTheTiger had survived the collapse of the tyrannical Regime, but his stint as KFL Championship had been brief, and his attempts to claw back to the top futile! The only fighter who could know his pain as well was the one whose gold he took -- m0s3pH! The feud was reignited as m0s3pH took the frustrations of his missed opportunity out on TTT! Both had failed against Genku and both would fight to prove their might. In the end, Lord m0s3pH would be the warrior with his eyes on the top of the mountain.

There at the top -- another was getting her chance to battle The Great Genku! The KFL Champion had been well prepared in his battles with m0s3pH and "The Predator" TonyTheTiger -- but months of competition were clearly catching up with the champ! CaTigeReptile would know no such fatigue, fighting with the winds of change blowing behind her! The 3-time champion's ferocity would reduce Genku to a helpless pup -- drained of his powers and unable to stop a record setting fourth KFL Championship reign for CaTigeReptile! The age of the Championship claims another!

From beyond the periphery -- another warrior watches silently!
No one could've believed the KFL Champion was being scrutinized by an unseen force! Camouflaged in plain sight; this warrior gazed upon the title with envious eyes! His presence brings the winds of change from a far off land. Quietly and thoroughly, The Manhunter draws his plans against her!

Rumors of an unknown challenger had gripped the arena in the week that followed CaTigeReptile's impressive fourth KFL Championship win! The league had never allowed an untested warrior to attempt to claim the gold, but the powerful presence of "The Manhunter" MINION would allow just that!

In the wastelands of the fallen -- two well tested warriors were engaging in battle anew! They say revenge is a dish best served cold: an experience m0s3pH would gladly put to the test! Genku had fought so hard to reclaim the KFL Championship, but even his efforts paled in comparison to m0s3pH's, which had engendered so little success. Eager to punish the champion who denied him with such decisive results -- m0s3pH unleashed a whirlwind assault that returned every blow of his +7 championship defeat! The victory would be somewhat cold, unable to make up for the championship miss, but revenge it would still be.

The question of whether or not a new tale of revenge would be written in the annals of the league was answered shockingly fast! "The Manhunter" MINION was well known across the lands, but never had he engaged in kombat to earn Championship status. Invited to test his mettle, The Manhunter came for gold -- but left with agony! "The Guardian" would live up to her name, defending the KFL Championship with a might and honor rarely seen! CaTigeReptile decimated the debuting MINION -- a staggering +28 impact the price of his admission into the Kombat Fight League!

On the horizon: a far more tested challenger! TheNinjasRock071394 was the first-ever KFL Champion and in recent months, he had quietly set about earning the necessary victories to return to the top! A classic KFL rivalry reignites as kombat continue next week!

For a very long time, LordSkarlet had found himself on the verge of the next big step. Time and again he suffered near miss after near miss. It must have been galling to see a brand new fighter skip the queue. It must have been sweet to finally have a break through win!

"The Manhunter" MINION had made a bold entry into the league, but his exceptional arrival ended in a rare defeat! Burning bright but ever so brief, MINION's crash from the top attracted an eager challenger with rare foresight. "The Prophet" Jironobou saw opportunity in MINION's meteoric rise and fall -- and took full advantage! Fighting with a lot to prove, Jironobou scored a decisive victory over the league's newest and most beleaguered contenders!

LordSkarlet had visions for a future of his own, but would not have it quite so easy against the potent Lord of kombat that is m0s3pH! With an impressive victory over former Champion and arch-rival: Genku - m0s had mapped his own path to a golden future. What he'd failed to consider was a fighter who'd endured much the same difficulties in breaking through to the title level! LordSkarlet had suffered as many near misses as m0s3pH -- but had used them to fuel a determination rarely seen! LordSkarlet had trained hard and fought with tenacity! His reward was a convincing win against a man with the stock to finally make him a contender!

Waiting with the championship around her waist -- "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile! Her encounter with TheNinjasRock071394 brought back fond memories of the first year of KFL! These originators of kombat reengaged like it was the first time. Like his brother m0s, however, 071394 would suffer at the hands of a superior opponent! Will LordSkarlet be the one to take the title from CTR? It's sure to be a blockbuster main event when Week 33 arrives 7 days from now!

The trials of kombat can be bitter and cruel, but every so often a fighter breaks through to enjoy a rare and well earned success. LordSkarlet had ended 2012 in the worst shape possible, and made it his mission to rise to the top in 2013. It had been a long and arduous journey, made more so by the many close calls and near misses that had defined his career. In Week 33 of Season 2013, LordSkarlet would finally get his shot!

Of all the opponents LordSkarlet could face, "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile probably wouldn't have been his preferred choice. Her reign as a 4-Time KFL Champion had made her one of the most legendary figures in the Kombat Fight League! Mere weeks ago, she exerted a shocking show of strength with a +28 victory over another first-time challenger: MINION! Could an upstart like LordSkarlet really reverse the trend? The answer was a resounding: YES!

In one of the most shocking results of the entire year -- LordSkarlet unleashed a complete annihilation upon the reigning KFL Champion! CaTigeReptile appeared tired and lethargic, while LordSkarlet left nothing behind -- exploding with an assault built up over 33 weeks! Unleashed upon the champion: there was no other way the result could go! CaTigeReptile was defeated with MAXMIMUM impact! The arena was awash with red! LordSkarlet is the new KFL Champion!

The rise of LordSkarlet had been cause for great celebration, but the era of contenders would leave little time for the champion to bask in his glory! While LordSkarlet was claiming his first KFL title -- The_Purple_Bunny & Philip94 earned a decisive victory over one of the best tandems in the league and two of the top contenders: m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394!

How best to reward the mutual success of TPB and protégé Philip94? A 2-on-1 handicap match for the KFL Championship! An impossible recipe for revenge for the 2-man challengers who suffered their only duo defeat at the hands of LordSkarlet and his partner: legoslayer10!

m0s3pH kept the recent trend of punishing victories alive with his decimating +25 impact against Sekktor -- but LordSkarlet stole the show with a stunning performance against two men! It must have been the thrill of his first title victory that propelled LordSkarlet to his maximum potential! On any other day, The_Purple_Bunny & Philip94 would have rained on the parade! Instead, LordSkarlet launched himself into another history making defense -- winning the first ever 2-on-1 handicap title match!

On his way to the KFL Championship, LordSkarlet had encountered both m0s3pH & LordSkarlet. It was his victory over m0s3pH that launched him into the success of his first title opportunity. With Duo Division competition taking the KFL by storm -- LordSkarlet would once again be asked to achieve the impossible: defending his recently won championship against two opponents!

This new era of 2-man endurance kombat was having strange and unforseen effects on the Kombat Fight League! Suffering many frustrating defeats, hydraslash & JUST_A_TARKATAN had tried their luck at 2-man kombat -- only to turn on each other after a bitter defeat! redman & MINION, on the other hand, had found a more lasting kinship. These likeminded fighters came together after MINION's rough entry into the league, merging rivalries in the pursuit of mutual success.

Jerrod & [Killswitch] had led the way as seasoned veterans of the Duo Division - but [Killswitch]'s ambition, which included pulling solo & duo double-duty during Week 33 had taken its toll! He'd suffered a mortal injury outside the KFL -- leaving Jerrod alone to face the harrowing experience of VenoMark & blacksaibot! Another near-max impact was recorded in the 2-on-1 handicap exchange: a chilling +29 damn near sending Jerrod to the injured list with his buddy!

The_Purple_Bunny's mentorship of Philip94 had started much of the hype, earning both a level of success that courted gold! After a couple of big wins, however, it would be m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394 who would attempt to ride the Duo Division wave to a shared championship reign.

Share it, they would! LordSkarlet had been impressive in his previous handicap championship match, repelling a dangerous duo with courage and strength. TPB & Philip94 weren't anything like m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394! To those in and out of the KFL - the brothers represent a standard in Duo Division competition! In the past, they had had opportunity to demonstrate their superiority as a unit in the KFL. Elsewhere, they had done it with championships and tournament victories. LordSkarlet had achieved the incredible before -- but this time, it was impossible...

m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394 become 2-time and 3-time KFL Champions, respectively. Their win makes them the first team to ever hold the KFL Championship! It is a victory that completely turns the league on its head! The era of competition now gives way to a new era of Duo Division dominance! The only question: who's next? The answer: next week!

It should have been the happiest time of his life, but the shocking imposition of Duo Division ranks meant LordSkarlet's dream of being KFL Champion ended in a violent nightmare! Still clinging to hope, he reunites with friend and ally legoslayer10 to seek retribution against the brothers who took his title hopes away!...

The Duo Era perpetuated the league as teams new and old fought for a new brand of Championship contention! The Regime returned in the form of CCShadow & Scott-Howell, administrating defeat to the resistant combo of redman & MINION! Meanwhile, Baraka_MK called upon his Duo Division partner Murdoink to continue a rank-by-rank climb through the league, this time against Philip94 and his partner/mentor, The_Purple_Bunny!

In the tag team main event: m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394 looked confident -- living up to their reputation as one of the best teams in and out of the league! LordSkarlet fared considerably better with back-up by his side, but the awesome combination of the brothers just seemed too strong for the still developing combo! A well fought result would go in the favour of the reigning KFL Champions!

Friday the 13th is a day draped in dread! For the fighters of the KFL, it would bring mixed fortunes, with a week of completely randomized battles!

The combination of solo competitors and the ever increasing duos resulted in a wild and difficult week for many fighters! Murdoink took the brunt of one of four 2-on-1 handicap matches -- suffering a +MAX impact from recent contenders LordSkarlet & legoslayer10! A handicap rematch from Week 35 between rivals VenoMark & blacksaibot and Jerrod went a little smoother: Jerrod eating a modest +6 impact, this time around. He'll no doubt remember the misfortune when his partner [Killswitch] returns to competition following a stint on the mortally injured list!

The random factor didn't effect the KFL Championship in any glaring way. Legitimate challengers The_Purple_Bunny & Philip94 scored another shot at the gold -- only to suffer another rare defeat at the hands of m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394!

That makes two successful defences for the KFL Champions! Whose next will be anyone's guess! The Friday the 13th shuffle completely discombobulated the contenders stakes, with no clear individual or duo standing out based on the recent weeks of competition! We'll find out who gets the shot when the "Duo Era" continues next week!

With no clear #1 contender presenting at the end of Week 37, the two most successful duos in the league go head-to-head in a contenders bash! LordSkarlet & legoslayer10 would be supremely eager to take another shot at dethroning the 2-man champs, while VenoMark & blacksaibot would be in the position of rising stars -- just eager to get their shot!

Like many of the recent champions and challengers, VenoMark had battled through considerable adversity to reach the top of the ranks. LordSkarlet had been valuable to VM in the past, but his sometimes ally was now his ticket to gold! After a string of near misses, VenoMark would do as LordSkarlet had done, leapfrogging a former-champion to launch into a golden opportunity! It was a hard fought match, but in the end, VenoMark & blacksaibot completely overwhelmed their opponents -- earning a KFL Championship match with a comprehensive win!

Together, VenoMark & blacksaibot had established a reputation as one of the top teams competing in the KFL. The emergence of the "Duo Era" was the perfect vehicle for them to springboard to KFL Championship gold -- but could they overcome the combined might of the premiere Duo Division Champions: m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394?

The week off for contender establishment appeared to have done the champs no favours! m0s3pH & 071394 looked flat footed as they attempted a third defense of their history making dual KFL title! There was no shortage of motivation for VenoMark and his partner blacksaibot. VM in particular had had his opportunities, but never been able to secure a golden win! There would be those who could argue they didn't deserve it. The pair engaged in two dominations of lone rival Jerrod -- earning scorn from some. None of that could matter when the match was through. For the second time in history, a duo claims the KFL Championship: VenoMark & blacksaibot!

They won't have to wait long to find equal and opposite competition! Echoes of The Regime flittered through the arena as CCShadow & Scott-Howell secured a solid win over another of the KFL's top duos: Sekktor & SubMan799. With a string of wins to their name, they'll be logical opponents when VenoMark & blacksaibot walk out for the first time with the belts around their waists!

It was to have been the perfect revenge! LordSkarlet - still smarting from the handicap match that stripped him of his hard earned KFL Championship - sought to turn the tables on one half of his defeaters by challenging m0s3pH to a handicap match! The 2-on-1 would pit he and legoslayer10 again the former-champion, but in the ultimate twist, m0s3pH proved well prepared for the handicap assault! Calling upon his best, the heavyweight competitor felling his attackers in a solid result!

VenoMark & blacksaibot would prove far less prepared -- facing a duo with a lot of history in and out of the KFL: CCShadow & Scott-Howell! The remnants of The Regime had crumbled briefly when the gods turned against one another, but they were now back on the page and chasing championship gold!

Just as duo conditions had suited VenoMark & blacksaibot in their first title win, so too did the format provide CCShadow with the keys to his first golden victory! Already a seasoned 2-time champ - Scott-Howell provided an energetic push that secured the pair a convincing victory over a skittish VM & bs! Where the combined powers of The Regime had failed: the two-man team of CCShadow & Scott-Howell would reign supreme! Has the "Duo Era" been all about getting back to this point? The next challenge is right around the corner!
