Week 33 of the KFL. My opportunity had finally come after defeating m0s last week, I finally got my chance at CaTigeReptile & the KFL Championship! All my hard work has finally payed off because last night when the fights happened on the MKO IRC network, I defeated CaTigeReptile & became the new KFL Champion!

Gotta catch up on results, but anybody interested should know the win/loss, rankings and KFL Championship record are still being updated each week on the KFL sub-page. Junk's always going down in the chat room, of course, as well.

Status of Season 2014 TBA. If we do continue, we'll probably just carry over sign-ups from 2012 & 2013, to make life a bit easier for everyone. [Live chat stuff will remain as is, 24/7.]

If we go ahead, Season 2014 would probably look to have a start date of the 17th. I'd like to try to at least get all the missed live results from 2013 up and archived before then. (No guarantees).

I'd like to see the Friday Night Fights results back to a reliable weekly schedule here on the forum, but I don't like my chances of doing much better than 2013. I've thrown a line out to Mojo6 & RazorsEdge701, but I don't know that I expect them to bite. If somebody thinks they'd be able to handle weekly booking and results (hopefully a bit of story swirled in), let me know.

Week 14, Season 2013: Exposed as the conspiring force behind the KFL, The Regime launch a full scale assault on the league! Mick-Lucifer uses his powers to take a second shot at the coveted KFL Championship, this time ending the record setting reign of The_Purple_Bunny!

redman stands poised to lead a Resistance against the Gods Among Us, but he has kept his enemies closer than his true friends! Nephrite reveals himself as yet another agent of the The Regime, turning on his would-be ally! Now redman must combine with "The Prophet" Jironobou -- but can he trust him either?

Week 15, Season '13: Jironobou's sight proves true blue as he teams with resistance watchdog redman -- but against the The Regime's Nephrite & Ninja_Mime, foresight proves too little to win the day! The Gods Among Us stand tall at the end of Week 15, but their numbers are not invincible!

redman will have to amass an army if he's to go toe-to-toe with the The Regime. VenoMark, CaTigeReptile, TheNinjasRock071394 & Sekktor have shown they can fight the good fight -- but are they selfless enough to join the cause? Or will the ambitions of competition tear this would-be army apart as The Regime announce a special Battle Arena elimination tournament!?

Many invitations were sent, but only sixteen brave fighters could answer the call of the Battle Arena Tournament! Fighting for their own cause, the glory of tournament victory, and the amusement of The Regime, they represent some of the most promising and ambitious fighters in the Kombat Fight League! At the top of the bracket: redman -- elusive warrior with an instinct for the machinations of sinister forces working against the league. Elsewhere: Nephrite -- redman's former ally and diabolical member of The Regime!

The arch-rivals would never have an opportunity to meet, but redman's desire to see The Regime thwarted would at least come true! Though some fighters would be tempted to eliminated each other in their own pursuit of glory; Sekktor, Unknown265 & MKRocket would strike back in the name of the league, eliminating The Regime's Nephrite, Jerrod & [Killswitch]!

redman was narrowly eliminated by MKRocket in the Semi Final; while Unknown265 -- having progressed with a bye thanks to blacksaibot & Philip94 fighting to a Round 2 tie -- looked unseasoned against Sekktor. In the final, Sekktor would not be denied -- victorious in convincing fashion! Sekktor steps out of The Battle Arena having asserted himself as a would-be contender for the KFL Championship. In an age dominated by The Regime, this may be a greater burden than Sekktor is ready to shoulder!

Week 16, Season '13: Success in April 16 Injustice Battle Arena Tournament comes with a price just 3 days later as Sekktor finds himself with a target on his back! The Regime's enforcer Ninja_Mime is tasked with keeping the upstart down -- and keep him down he does!

The Regime wouldn't have it all their way in Week 16, however! In their pursuit of the traitor Nephrite -- redman & Jironobou are forced to do battle with The Regime's tag team duo of Jerrod & [Killswitch]! The Resistance would strike a decisive blow in the duo clash. Better luck than former-Champion CaTigeReptile, who suffered the ire of another Regime enforcer: the silent assassin called Ghostdragon!

Week 17, Season '13: It was a betrayal that cut deep! redman knew there was a conspiracy occurring in the shadows of The Kombat Fight League, but he never imagined his ally Nephrite would be a vital part of it! The Regime had thrown many obstacles between he and justice -- with reprisal in reach, redman struck true! A decisive victory in the main event of the seventeenth week!

The battle between The Resistance and The Regime would infiltrate every level of combat. m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394 continue a feud with high ranking Regime members CCShadow & Scott-Howell -- a 2-on-2 clash that serves The Resistance regardless of the winners' intended allegiance. Others wave the banner in similar circumstances: CaTigeReptile rising as a guardian ready and willing to team with Jironobou against the dastardly duo of Jerrod & [Killswitch]! Could SubMan799 be the next recruit?

While the KFL Champion and Regime Leader Mick-Lucifer watches from his ivory tower -- the title picture continues to heat up! Battle Arena Tournament winner Sekktor finds himself caught in a crossfire between motivated former champion The_Purple_Bunny and the Regime's title predator TonyTheTiger! The war wages on!

Week 18, Season '13: The war between The Regime and redman's Resistance had been allowed to tear the Kombat Fight League in two! Having been defeated by his arch-rival, Nephrite amasses The Regime's best forces to crush The Resistance once and for all!

The kombat arena was awash with violence on that day. The day when redman, Jironobou, CaTigeReptile, m0s3pH & TheNinjasRock071394 stood united against a common enemy. It was designed to be their final stand, but together their might would triumph over the power mad excesses of Nephrite, Ghostdragon, Ninja_Mime, Scott-Howell & CCShadow. Their individual rivalries spurred a powerful struggle, but in the end, Nephrite's Regime 5 were defeated! "The Prophet" Jironobou had the pleasure of striking the final blow. redman thanked his ally before disappearing into the background amidst the celebrations.

The Regime's greatest warriors may have been dealt defeat, but the Gods Among Us are far from gone! redman will relish the victory of his Resistance, but his next objective will be his most dangerous! For this ultimate threat, he continues on alone. High above the Kombat Fight League their watches the tyrant behind the game of suffering the mortals have been forced to play. With the KFL Championship around his waist, Mick-Lucifer will be forced by redman to enter his war! The epic battle next week!

Week 19, Season '13: With his Regime depleted, Mick-Lucifer is finally alone to be confronted by the one who uncovered and undid his plot: redman!

The leader of the Regime claimed he was bringing a necessary order to the Kombat Fight League. He confessed a respect for redman and everything his Resistance had achieved, but assured him there would be no fairytale victory for an underdog such as him. He was wrong! redman was breathtaking, fighting as though already a champion! Exceeding anything he had shown before, the Resistance leader destroyed Mick-Lucifer! With his final blows, The Regime would effectively be dead. redman is the new KFL Champion!

Week 20, Season '13: It was to be a bittersweet week in the kombat league. As the lingering remnants of The Regime fight for themselves without a leader, the brutal realities of the KFL shatter any romantic notions of moral victory for The Resistance. Theirs was but a turn in the competitive stakes of this world ruled by fists!

Having won the Battle Arena Tournament a month ago -- Sekktor had been chasing his right to a shot at the KFL Championship. With The Regime no longer coordinated against the upstart challenger, he was free to stake his claim. redman had returned the title to circulation by overcoming overwhelming odds, but the price of defeating Mick-Lucifer would be his vulnerability. Though redman put up a good fight, the highly motivated Sekktor could not be denied. A new KFL Champion is crowned!

Other members of The Resistance face a similar cold reality. "The Guardian" CaTigeReptile may have been crucial in eliminating the forces of The Regime, but with the threat over, she is merely another target -- an opportunity to rise through the ranks of contention for a former champion like The_Purple_Bunny! Likewise, "The Prophet" Jironobou and SubMah799 suffer post-war defeats -- victims of the surviving Regime duo of Jerrod & [Killswitch]! The brave new world is safer than the last!

Week 21, Season '13: A dangerous philosophy echoes through the arena as the legacy of The Regime leaves a vacuum to be filled with chaos. Fighters descend like flies on fresh garbage as once noble Resistance fighters lose purpose in a time without war.

As a recent former-champion and the man who dethrone Mick-Lucifer's "order", redman finds he is now the one with the target on his back! The_Purple_Bunny takes full advantage, punishing the beleaguered warrior in his quest to reclaim #1 contender status!

"The Prophet" Jironobou suffers a similar defeat to his partner in the Resistance -- battered by one of the surviving powerhouses of The Regime. "The Predator" TonyTheTiger fights like an animal whose instincts know no ceasefire. He is not the only survivor of The Regime who fights the old war.

Jerrod & [Killswitch] remain a powerful pairing -- even if unsuccessful in battle with the reigning KFL Champion and a former Regime sleeper: Sekktor & SubMan799! The defeat only seems to court a greater ire from The Regime pair -- whose individual and combined successes have made compelling challengers of both! A challenge may yet await. Kombat continues!...

Week 22, Season '13: A rivalry escalates as former Regime enforcer Jerrod pursues an old grudge against The Battle Arena tournament fighter who embarrassed him in front of his masters! With their on-going feud heating up in the last week: Jerrod challenges Sekktor for his KFL Championship!

The resulting title bout tests Sekktor to his very limit! Evenly matched and with equal and opposite momentum, Jerrod and the champ could almost be considered at a stalemate! It was only the extra energy and recent battle experience that would allow Sekktor to defend his crown! A worthy double achievement to his friend and ally SubMan799's efforts in repelling Jerrod's partner [Killswitch]!

Elsewhere in the league -- the post-Regime era continues to heat competition up! redman once again finds himself the target of aspiring intentions: this time m0s3pH the one to beat the former champion! On the other side of the war; TonyTheTiger meets his match in the selfishly neutral warrior known as Genku! They too influence the path of the future championship -- but then, a fool and his gold are soon parted!
