I find this odd. If you don't want him to win, why vote for him? Maybe you want Kitana to win even less so?

Man, this tournament is just FLYING by. So now we've got our group winners and it's time for the Elite Eight.

Swami predicts:

1. Sub-Zero vs. Kitana
2. Noob Saibot vs. Raiden
3. Ermac vs. Fujin
4. Shang Tsung vs. Jade

Not looking too good for the anti-ninja contingent on here. Then again, stranger things have happened.

As long as Ermac wins the tournament, everything is fine, because it's actually looking pretty good for Ermac right now, I'm sure he can get through Jade in the final 4, and even pull the entire tournament off and win.

Kitana made it to the QF in both previous tournaments tho.

I'm hoping for Jade or Ermac in the long run, but for now Sub-Zero's got my vote.

If Subbie moves on, I doubt any of the others are going to take the trophy. Just a hunch though, I could be wrong.

Even though I LOVE SUBBY :) I voted for Princess Kitana and for the previous poll my vote was for Jade Women power ! Femme fatale :)

I gave Kitana my vote, but i'm not sure if I handed things right. I want both to fail, and I don't want any of them as winner.

Because I like him more than Kitana, I'm not going to not vote for him just because I don't want him to win, I don't want Kitana to win either, so by your logic, I shouldn't even be voting right now.

If Sub-Zero will be defeated then I won't care about further results of the voting. Whoever will win - it will not be one of the two posterboys of MK. And considering, that Smoke is not present, Subs absence will open path to the completely nw champion of the poll.

By the way, I went through archives and found lists of quarterfinalists from two past polls. Kitana, Ermac, Noob Saibot and Raiden could be awarded as permanent members of the quarterfinalists club. They got to that round in each poll.

Scorpion was there once in 2012, but he was kicked by haters club, the same as in this year. Sub-Zero was there once in 2012 and he ultimately has become a champion. He was absent in 2013 poll, with Scorpion being present. But specter was once again eliminated and Smoke has become a champion.

The biggest surprise of this poll is presence of Fujin in this stage. Class C character and all of a sudden he is in the list of the 8 most popular MK characters...I don't understand how it came to be...but whatever. I don't think he has a lot of chances to win, what with him being surrounded by juggernauts like Raiden, Ermac and the like. On the other hand, Smoke's victory was also fairly surprising, but he had kind of an advantage with him being old character and ninja.

Heh, but that's what I asked you before; if you voted for Subbie because you wanted Kitana to win even less than him. :P

It would be amazing to see Kitana vs Jade in the finale. Even though that wont happen since Jade wont be able to beat Ermac even if she beats Shang Tsung :(

On a side note, I actually think Jade has become more popular. I mean, she was in the top 10 MK characters of all time in the Shoryuken poll which was fan-voted. I think she was tenth in the poll but still! Out of 60 characters! Same with this poll. Shes in the top 8 and if she reaches the top 4, that proves that she has a fair amount of fan demand. I hope NetherRealm see this as a chance to bring her back with a fresh continuation of her story and ending from MK9.

Like I said before, I don't vote against characters, I vote for characters.
