I think you are taking this fake making just a little too far and WAY too serious. You make it sound like a "5/5" is a god-bestowed gift.

People make fakes for fun, and it's satisfying to see people enjoy your work and dish out high ratings. If there was such a high quality standard set like you seem to direly want, that would completely suck the life out of this fake making. A lot of people just make fakes out of boredom, and won't give it 110% effort each time, because it's not like you are going to frame it and attempt to sell it.

And then there is such a thing as "opinions". You think that fake you found rules and UR's work sucks. Other people can think the exact opposite. I've seen better than that fake.

Real art, such as drawings, paintings, sculptures, etc is to be taken serious. Fan-made fake making of retro video games over the internet should be for fun. Stop trying to take that from people. Lighten up.

Exactly why the GRADIENT SHADING ON THE 2 GODDAMN SPRITES IS SO FUCKING STUPID. All the shading goes from one shade of a color to a darker shade of said color, with barely any fluxation in said color, from texture. Learn to fucking read before you start being a dick.

Well if you really want to get technical, yes I did recolor the stage frame, I thought you meant the sprites were recolors.

To be super technical, you were just being a dick by saying its pixelated then because if thats your arguement then every single image on a computer is pixelated.


Again, digitial painting, not gradients, as for the colors being stepped however, when your talking skin tight suits there is no wrinkles for sudden color changes.

Umm...No. I was saying the blood was over-pixelized. It has single pixels made larger so it appears to be made out of large blocks of single colors.



You obviously are misunderstanding what a gradient is, and for that matter, what you can get away with by calling something 'digital painting.' If the color goes from a lighter to a darker hue, from light to shadow, with no change due to the surface its on, this is a gradient. Whether you drew it yourself or used a photoshop brush, its all the same.

And yes, there are wrinkles in skintight outfits, and indentions in human skin. It would be impossible for there NOT to be wrinkles in these things. Seriosly. How would one move in a skintight outfit if it couldn't wrinkle or bunch up when you bent your arm or leg. It'd be like wearing a sheet of steel or something..

Also, your colors are too vibrant and bright and don't match the atmosphere and color of the fake itself (note the hazy blue background and lighting.) If you were going for quasi-realism, you messed up on that part. (I forgot to mention these earlier.)

Okay I just have to fill you in on this one, and this isn't even a bash. Those aren't custom sprites UR uses, they are direct cuts from screens... I don't think even he will deny that.

Well receptionfades is obviously one of our dear veterans. And yeah, it's quite ridiculous how so many people go ''oh it's not very good, but it still rocks! 4/5'', but I'm still givin away the 1/10s every once in a while.

They have completely different IP adresses for starters. That however does not rule out the chance of multiple computer households.

I swear we aren't doubles, just friends, and I'm also not an old vet here, just from another site and noticed how overall shitty this site is.
