"Serenity, this man tried to harm you. I won't allow that to happen ever again." Marek prepares to summon a firestorm against their attacker.

"I guess that will do haha"
Serenity smiles at Ekibyogami, What a strange god he is..
Now turning to Marek she can only watch as he prepares to fight.
"My dear Marek, stop your attack. Let ME handle this. If i should need assistance you and Ekibyogami are right here with me." Her ring blade appears in her hand as she steps forward.

Marek chuckles and gently touches Serenity's shoulder before striding over to stand next to Ekibyogami. "Very well, my dear Serenity."

"Thank you Marek." She turns to see the warrior, ring blade in hand and in her fighting stance.
"Warrior, you are not the first that tried to slay me. Now what is it that you want with me?"

"You are a god and thus a very powerful fighter for Earthrealm. I've been given the task of ensuring Shao Kahn wins this tournament. With your death, Earthrealm would be weaker and that shadow priest you have some influence with would most likely return to aid Outworld. Sadly, I was mistaken. The shadow priest and you will die but not now. A wise warrior knows when he is outmatched so I'll leave you, but remember to always have eyes behind your eyes for I will be watching you," said Okorik who vanished in a green portal behind his feet.

"Well then, I guess i win. I told you not to worry Marek. haha." She turns to Ekibyogami and Marek. "First Mr. Mute, then Malice, and now this warrior. We seem to be gaining quite a reputation."
Thinking of what the new warrior said she couldn't help to wonder if anything happened to her what Marek would do.. He seems to care about me a little more than Ekibyogami..

"You did well, Serenity." Marek embraces Serenity, taking the Goddess completely by shock. After several moments, Marek breaks away. "Is there something wrong?"

"Marek.. I.. I did not expect that.. "
Serenity looks away, avoiding Marek's eyes.
What the warrior said might be true.. I really don't know what Marek would do if anything were to happen to me.. Something foolish that might put him in grave danger. I hope it doesn't come to pass, he's a good man.
She turns to Marek and give a reassuring smile
"Do not worry Marek. Just give me a warning beforehand. I've never received a hug before because.. well you know I'm a goddess."

"Very well then, my apologies, Lady Serenity." Marek bows and kisses Serenity's hand again. "It's just....I have never been in the presence of such beauty as yours until now."

"haha why thank you Marek. That is also a first."
For the first time, Serenity blushes and turns away.
what will he think when he finds out my mission is to allow Armageddon to happen? He wont feel the same..

"You're welcome, Serenity." Marek turns away, hiding the grim look on his face from Serenity. What will Serenity think if I tell her the truth, that I foresaw the return of the One Being by Kahn's victory at the pyramid? The destruction of the Elder Gods? The death of....Serenity. If she learned the truth, she may never look at me the same way again. No, she deserves the truth. I will tell Serenity. "Lord Ekibyogami, may we be alone for a moment?"

"I hate to break up this ummm moment, but I have to ask,what happened to Raiden,did he just leave you or what."

Ekibyogami was already mad enough at Raiden,but he was this close to helping Serenity take him out. He had grown protective of his fellow god,much like a sister,and was not happy with the idea of him leaving her alone. It was only the alternative which stopped him from letting her do her job.

"I will give you a minute,but i insist on being told what Raiden did after"

"Thank you, Lord Ekibyogami." Marek watches the God leaves, then turns to face Serenity with an expression of great sadness.

"What is wrong Marek?"

"Serenity, there is something I have not been entirely truthful about. It concerns my visions...And the One Being." I saw the One Being's return happen as a result of Armageddon, and it destroyed the Elder Gods. Every last one."

"Marek.. I know.. I haven't told you only Ekibyogami knows.. But i was sent by the Elder Gods to ensure Armageddon's occurrence. Even if it means the destruction of the Elder Gods and myself it is their will.."

Marek looks down at the ground, his eyes closed. "Very well. If that is what must happen, then this will be meaningless to you." Marek takes Serenity's face in his hands and kisses her with a burning passion.

Serenity's eyes open wide, not expecting a kiss from Marek.
Pulling back Serenity was at a lost of words.
"Marek.. I'm a goddess.. You know what that means.."
She turns her head..
"So now you are not going to fight? you are not going to try to stop Armageddon?"

Serenity couldn't help but to feel disappointed.. I thought he was the one to reaffirm my doubts of how wrong my mission was.. But i guess not..

"I love you, Lady Serenity. From the first moment that we met. But if you must die-All for the will of the Elder Gods-Then what is the point to my own existence? What is the point to anyone's existence if we all must perish for the will of the Elder Gods, who do not care about anything in the realms so long as the rules of their precious tournament are not broken?" Turning angrily away from Serenity, Marek heaves a great sigh. "I gave up my entire life to serve Shao Kahn's will-A decision I regret every waking moment of my life since the day these visions began haunting me. Please, Lady Serenity-Do not make the same mistakes I did." With a heavy heart, Marek exits the chamber, leaving Serenity alone.

Serenity bows her head.. "To fight.."
"If only you let me finish.. I am having doubts to whether I am going through with my mission.." With her heart and mind somewhere else she did not expect to hear..
"GET OVER HERE"

Hearing those three words echo from the chamber, Marek realizes he had left Serenity alone with Quan Chi's assassin. "No. SERENITY!!" Marek races back to the chamber.

A searing pain struck Serenity's chest as she is pulled into a fiery portal..
she falls on her knees and as she looks up she sees a shadow of a warrior that shes seen before..

Marek races into the chamber just in time to see Serenity pulled through a portal of flame. "NO!! I will not allow you to take her!" Using a powerful magic spell, Marek holds the portal open long enough to enter it before it closes behind him.

Ekibyogami enters the room

"Hey you guys done yet........Damn where did everybody go now?"
