As the Tarkatans continue their assault, Okorik silently gazes as Serenity's body slumps down on the ground, weakened and full of ax (). He laughs and says, "Ha ha, the stone did its job! Farewell Serenity, you will make a fine addition in the Netherrealm's forces!"

Ekibyogami,having a moment of space,does what he has been doing every time he gets space,checks on his partners. He first sees Marek,and seeing a look of horror in his eyes,follows his stare. At that moment he sees Serenity on the ground,an axe in her back.

"Serenity!!!!"

Seeing the look in her eyes he realized it was to late. Ekibyogami's eyes glazed over and the sky turned red. With a fierce shout a rain of blood fell from the sky,pouring on the Tarkatan horde, burning at their skin like acid,locust tearing at their skin. Raiden realizing that Shang Tsung had used the distraction to escape,focused his attention on Ekibyogami,realizing he had gone berserk. Floating along unaffected by the rain and locust,he took the time to kill some with his bare hands. Raiden came to the conclusion Ekibyogami ran the risk of hurting the others,so he grabbed him and teleported him out of the area,before returning to the fray.

As day breaks other Tarkatans funnel into the portals,and the battle starts to wind down.

Serenity awakes in the bowls of the Netherrealm. As she opens her eyes to the fiery pits of hell, Snake and Sareena stand before her. Snake slowly opens his mouth, "Welcome goddess, Quan Chi has summoned you here. When you became mortal, your soul was free to be stolen, and Quan Chi had put a mark on your soul. I am the one who had the honor of dragging you down to hell. I am the wraith known as Snake, and this is Sareena, an assassin of Quan Chi. You Serenity will serve the forces of Shinnok (Brotherhood), with or without your own consent."

Serenity laughs "You truly believe you can tell me who to serve?"

Her ring blade forms "You might of been the one who brought me here but i won't be staying here for long. I can promise you that."

"You are not the one who is in control of your own soul now. Fighting me is futile. You no longer have the will to do as you please. You are dead Serenity, and you are no longer a goddess."

"Haha you truly are a fool. Do you truly think the Elder Gods will permit ME to die? You have NO idea what you're getting into."

She gives Snake a cocky smile
"And by the way my soul is my own. I will like to see you or quan chi himself try to take it"

"haha not in this case"

Serenity takes her stance, feeling her powers grow inside of her.

"Now that i have my powers back this should be easy"

Serenity shoots multiple clear orbs with high speed at her opponents, to her surprise she has a smile on her face.

Snake reveals his sword, and at the same time cuts down the clear orbs. A shadowy aura emits from his sword, his strength cannot be denied. "It is only a matter of time" Snake admits. He runs towards Serenity, and throws his sword to the side, as it flies away, it disappears. At his highest speed, Snake uppercuts Serenity in the gut, his sword then reappears behind her, and flies towards her back.

Ekibyogami sits on a rock at the location Raiden sent him,tears in his eyes. He had calmed down,but he was upset. The first person he befriended since his release had died,he had failed her. He resolved to go back to the academy,he would still be needed to help,and he still didn't know what Marek's reaction will be. At the thought of Marek an idea popped into his head,and he rushed to the academy,hoping it was not too late.

While being punched, Serenity still held her smile. She ran off with her great speed away from Snake and straight for Sereena. She began to rapidly punch Sereena all over her body until a swift kick to her head sent her to the floor.
She runs back at Snake at full speed and lands a knee at his back. As he is being hit, she makes a strike with her ring blade aiming at his head.

As Sareena gets pummeled to the ground, Snake is stunned by Serenity's incredible speed. Seeing her run back he catches his sword, with his defenses down and her speed he takes a kick to his back. Seeing her ring blade aiming at his head, he summons shadows under him to pull him to the floor. As he hits the floor he grabs Serenity's leg, and stabs her foot.

"Do not think I am underestimating you mortal. Your foolish pride will be crushed."

"Mortal? hahahaha! You greatly misunderstand"
Serenity jumps back. When she lands she slowly goes on one knee touching her wounded foot in one hand, it begins to glow. She speed up her healing with her powers, and in an instant is healed.

She gets up with a smile.

"Are you ready?"

She spins and throws her ring blade at her opponent, as it spins she begins to shoot more orbs at him, strangely she catches herself laughing..

"So you enjoy the brutality that comes with violence don't you," said Okorik as he appeared from a portal, the attack finished and most of the monks slaughtered. "You see despite your best intentions, your now mortal soul exists here. The corruption of the Netherrealm affects even the purest of souls. It is only a matter of time until you become part of our forces. You laughing means you enjoy the violence of this fight. Why not just accept it and make this whole ordeal quite painless," said Okorik while grinning.

(Now we have to perfect excuse for the Serenity vs. Ekibyogami fight)

Snake lets out a slight chuckle...

"It seems I may have underestimated you a slight bit. You will be a great addition to the forces of the Netherrealm."

Snake sees no clear path to avoid the mass of projectiles she is sending at him...he dips down into the ground and appears at the other side of her. When he appears he grabs her, and shadows begin swarming her body. Skeletons of the underworld begin grabbing her limbs and holding them upwards. She becomes entrapped in a wild entanglement.

"I am but a fool to challenge you when your powers have been restored, There is no point in getting into a endless death battle."

A portal opens, from the portal comes the man himself, Quan Chi. Aided by Noob Saibot. Quan Chi approaches the "goddess."

Quan Chi has a grin on his face, "It would seem as though you are stronger than one of my strongest men." he chuckles, "How pleasant" Then walks closer to Serenity. "Your soul is already mine girl, it is just about time I "perfected it'"

Crap I missed Okorik. Before the ordeal Snake gives slight attention to Okorik, "It is according to as planned."

Serenity chuckles "You will try you weak fool"

Serenity, with her speed, twists her wrists so she can grab on the skeletons and begins to age them into dust, summons her ring blade and cuts the remaining skeletons. Freeing herself she runs past them into the unknown of the Netherrealm .

Quan chi is surprised by her sudden escape, but quickly regains his composure. "My, my what fight you have" looking around and seeing his warriors still in shock he shouts "well go after her now!"

"She may have escaped us, but she cannot escape the Netherrealm" Snake implies. All of them set off to find Serenity.

(real quick can you guys hold off from finding me? i wanna fight that big three headed dog before you do. its been a life long dream of mine ever since i got the game lol)

Leaving the burning Wu Shi Academy behind him, Marek walks across the Earthrealm landscape, tears falling from his eyes. "Serenity....I failed you." Tossing his head back, Marek screams at the Heavens. "DAMN YOU, SHANG TSUNG!! DAMN YOU TO THE NETHERREALM!!" Dropping to his knees, Marek continues weeping for his lost love. In the midst of his grief, Marek is visited by more visions of the future, and one figure within catches his interest. A swordsman in strange armor with dragon symbols wearing a blindfold. Marek recalls several years past that Shang Tsung gloated that he had deceived a swordsman named Kenshi into releasing the souls of his ancestors, an act that robbed the swordsman of his sight. Tsung then absorbed Kenshi's warrior king ancestor's souls and left him to die. Marek realizes that Kenshi may be the warrior he sees in his vision. "I know what I must do now. I will find this Kenshi, and together we will have our revenge."
Marek rises, wiping the tears from his eyes, which now have nothing but murder in them. "Shang Tsung will not survive this Deadly Alliance."

Ekibyogami arrives at the academy,finding the warriors of earth ready to leave for outworld to rescue their captives.
Finding Serenity's body,he finds what he is looking for,the gem given to her by marek,capable of bringing her back from the dead. Unfortunatley,he knew not how to use it,and could not find Marek. Using the small mystical pocket dimension(the size of a room) that prevented rot and decay(a haven for one of his profession) he was able to protect her body,placing the stone there as well.

Ekibyogami descides to travel to outworld with the others hoping to find Marek or another capable of using the gem
