my Lin Kuei tattoo

Been thinking about it for 5 years, decided to do it last Fall.

I wanted something to remind me of my childhood spent with MK and a lot of other games. I didn't want to get the dragon, because I thought it would look cliche and too heavy on a girl's wrist. The MK: Conquest Lin Kuei tattoo was the next best choice since Sub-Zero is my favorite character, I could do it in 2 colors and I always liked this design.

Looks pretty good.

I'm not really the type to get tattoos, myself, but I always thought that if I ever did get one, it'd be that symbol.
Interesting how it originally appeared in Conquest but Subbie's actually wearing it on his costume in the new MK9 trailer so it's canon now.

All the more reason for me to be very happy about it and that is the only tattoo I'm getting in my life (just wanted to be 'branded'). You've got a good eye btw. I didn't see it during my first watch of the trailer, I guess I was more concerned about the 2D movement which may be cool, but I'm not really sure yet.

I have a few friends who know MK to-the-point-of-Lin Kuei so they really liked it, but most people ask what it means.

It usually goes like this: - Do you know MK? - Yes. - And the fighter Sub-Zero? - Oh yes. - Well, he's from a clan of assassins called Lin Kuei and this is their sign. - Awesome! You must really like MK. Cool.

Never got an 'are you crazy' reaction, which is nice.

This is a great tattoo. Love it. If I were ever to get a tattoo, it would be this!!

P.S. For the first time (I think?) Sub-Zero in the GAME is using this logo, look at the EGM:

Cool image, VERY cool TAT... I have a few questions.

How old are you when you get this tattoo?

Did it hurt.... I know it dude but like unbarring

Can I use as my Avatar?

Mainly because I have been wanting a tat for a while and my parents r coo with it its just no place will tat a 15 yr old.

I was 23 when I got the tattoo. I suggest you wait with your first one a bit too. I had mine done after 5 years of consideration.

As for pain, it felt like someone was literally playing around with your veins in an open wound. It was probably a high amount, but I have an unusually high pain threshold, so I wasn't uncomfortable with it.

And yes, you can use it as your avatar.

Got it done last night. My attempt at a variation of the Lin Kuei symbol.
Has an Ankh through the middle grin
