IMO, Samdra was a better Sonya. She did a much better job in fighting then Wilson, she was faster and flexible, she even fought the most in all the movie! Both are VERY hot, so about that, there is no competition. The only thing Sandra missed was the cool perfect attitude Wilson gave Sonya in the first movie. I loved the sarcasm and mean face Wilson did to make the Sonya we all love! That was the best of Wilson! But dont get me wrong, Wilson did an excellent job, 10/10, but in terms of who acted better in fighting, I go with Sandra, Wison had the attitude. So, I would really want to see Sandra play Sonya again, she really did a much better job then Wilson, BUT, GIVE HER THE ATTITUDE, thats the only thing, make Hess look mean, sarcastic and tough and it will all be perfect, or, just make Wilson fight faster and more flexible, and it will be perfect too. So in conclusion, as much as I love Wilson, Hess did do a much better job. Both are hot, so I dont care. But the only thing Wilson had that Sandra missed, was the attitude, no more, no less. BTW, the Sonya character model of Mk4 was based on Wilson, and the MKDA Sonya was based on Sandra, they only added the attitude mean face from Wilson.

Gotta go with Bridgette. Sandra made a mockery of Sonya. Sure Sandra was an awesome fighter, but Sonya needs attitude. Bridgette all the way.

Figures, in seeing Hess was in MK:A, noone could look as good there as that someone's rival in MK:Movie. for one, how sure are you, Sonya of games has the attitude? I'd say Sonya's attitude came from Bridgette anyway. I've seen her some more, and she tends to have an attitude.

MK:A was a mockery of MK. If they had used Jet Li in MK:A, it would have made him look like a mockery. Even good actors (not that I'd know if Hess was good or not) are lousy in a badly done movie. While even a bit lower actors do great if the direction of the movie is good. They also, along with her rep, messed up her looks. They messed up everyone's looks. Yes, Hudson Leick... She looks a lot more like Bridgette than Sandra, and since Bridgette is married and will likely not appear in the next film, I hope they go with Hudson... She can nail that attitude in seconds.

Hate to break it to you, but it is not really fair to say Wilson or Hess looked "more like the game's Sonya".

Looking through the history of the Mortal Kombat games, Sonya's "look" has evolved as following:

MK1 - Manly tough girl
MK2 - Absent
MK3-UMK3 - Busty teenager
MK4 - Bridgette Wilson/Tough girl college chick
MKDA - Sandra Hess/Hot tough girl with a thong

Granted we are speaking in terms of videogames (and I do not find myself sexually attracted to polygons), it is obvious that Sonya has been changed several times to appear more "attractive" to the MK fanbase.

Personally, I find Bridgette Wilson to be prettier than Sandra Hess (quick fact: Did you know Cameron Diaz was originally cast as Sonya in the first MK movie? She was dropped after an injury). But Hess definitely looks and fights far better than Bridgette Wilson ... thus getting my vote for the "better Sonya".

I'd say it's even less fair to say who looks more like Bridgette, Hess or Hudson. Or who has more of her attitude. The one who looks and acts most like Bridgy, is herself.

I have to say I don't agree with you guys who think the MKDA Sonya looks like Sandra Hess. It's b/c when you compare them Sonya in MKDA has longer and darker blond hair than Sandra. I also think the MKDA Sonya's face is still similar to the faces of her in MK3 and MK4. I do think Bridgette Wilson would look like the MKDA Sonya if she had her hair like that. Another thing is MKDA Sonya has shoulder length hair and Sandra's hair in MKA was shorter than shoulder length.

I don't know what to say about this Hudson Leick b/c I don't know anything about her. I don't think it's a good idea to have Sonya played by 3 different actresses.

Why do you say Bridgette Wilson will not likely appear in MK3 the movie? As far as I know there's NO official proof that Bridgette, Sandra or Hudson will or won't be in the 3rd movie if one is ever made. I'm already sick and tired of the rumours and gossip people have been spreading about what's gonna happen with MK3.

One thing I forgot to mention earlier when Hess came into MKA she made it look like Sonya shrank a couple inches. You guys know Wilson is 5'9? Why is it people don't notice that about the 2 actresses?

She used to play CALLISTO in the hit series Xena Warrior Princess. Shes AWESOME and she really nows how to act no questions asked.

Bridgette had the attitude and the fighting goin on.

Sandra had Sonya's appearances correctly and she had her voice.

But people seem to like Bridgette becuase of her attitude and strong strength. She was cool. Shes TOTALLY not playin anymore becuase she quit acting. Sorry folks.

Well, she could continue acting if she wanted to. And I don't think anyone else should try to "impersonate" Bridgy's Sonya. If it's a new actor, they can as well let Sonya be like she will be there, ppl might like that even more.

And... well, I don't think I've seen Hess in any good quality movies, she could be able to act, bad movies tend to make better actresses (actors) look worse.

I hope so too, but it's very unlikely that Bridgette will return... As for another new Sonya, well it's either that, or Sandra Hess... Sandra Hess isn't the best actress for the part, so I'm hoping for a new one.... Specifically, sexy actress HUDSON LEICK.

I don't expect Lambert back either. Well, I expect him as if I think it is most likely him, but I do not want him. I want Jeffrey Meek as Rayden. A lot of people who now saw MKC, want him instead of Lambert.
