If they are going to ruin the movie with Quan Chi, they should have Shang also. The begining should have Quan escape from hell with the amulet and find Shang. Then have MKDA stuff. Also I would like Quan from MKM if I had to choose between him and the MKC guy. He was pretty good.

The latest we've heard is that filming will begin in November, but because of the lack of updates, this seems untrue. The rumored release date as of now is around summer-fall 2004, meaning this might coincide with MK6, which would be a very good marketing strategy.


I can think of up to 7 reasons why the movie did NOT begin filming! I'm curious, exactly where did that false rumour come from??? Right now I don't believe the film will concide with MK6. I think if the movie is gonna begin filming late next year, it may not come out until 2006 (or 2007). All I can say is if the movie has no confirmed plot, cast list or any other info, than don't say it's gonna begin filming!
It really bothered my that several months ago people had the nerve to say the movie had entered post-production when in reality THE MOVIE DID NOT EVEN BEGIN FILMING YET!!!!!!

Hell nah! Shang Tsung was killed in the first one. Let Shang stay dead. I want Quan Chi to either allign with Shinnok and makehim escape from the Netherealm or be on his own.

The reason it's taking so long is because there isn't even going to be an MK3 movie. There that's my theory.

I don't know if it is set in stone. Even if the movie was already being shot the story is still liable to be changed.

Hmm, www.imdb.com which is usualy an excellent source, has very little info on this.
However they confirmed the movie being in post-production, and the appearace of linden ashby, and the guy who played sub-zero in mk1.

Other than that they give very little info, but they say it's due 2004. though i think that's unlikely.

Where are they gonna get the money to make MK3??? I'm asking b/c MKA was failure and it flopped at the box office. Today it still feels like a third movie won't be made b/c of what happened with MKA and b/c there's no official news on the film. If a third movie is gonna be made, how is it gonna look good with only a budget of $10 million or something like that?

I think they have to find a company to distribute it to get the money.

Just my input on Quan Chi's costume:
I too think he should look like he did in MKC/MK4, but later "transform" in a cool way with his powers into his MKDA outfit for the final battle or something like that.
