I love Johnny Cage and his original actor Linden Ashby. I like him so much my registered name on www.mortalkombatconquest.tk was Johnny Cage lol. Apparently he is found in outworld in the new film fighting with reiko on one of his many "adventures." The classic thing that i think caught peoples attention about him was his wise ass commments like in the new MK game Shaolin monks raiden goes to give him a medal but before he can say anything Cage says "Lay it on me Raiden!" and also i thought it was funny how he kicked goro and then as goro picked him up he went "OH NO!"

The only version of Cage I ever liked was the Movie version played by Ashby.

In the games I just can't stand him. Everytime he opens his mouth in the games I only think "Oh shut up already". I think he lacks a certain charm that Ashby had in the Movie.

Johnny Cage is amazing, and in the first movie he was, no doubt, among the best of the best.

He really had a charm in the film, and I like him in the games too, he just needs a better storyline. Of all the movie characters: Sonya Blade, Johnny Cage, and Rayden were THE BEST.

Johnny cage in the first movie was awesome. the way he killed scorpion and goro.

He was the most entertaining indeed.

And his fight with Scorpion was the best ever.

The actor who played JC, Linden Ashby, already confirmed that he's coming back as Johnny Cage in MK Devastation. So, that's good news.

The credit for Johnny Cage's greatness in the movie goes straight to Mr. Ashby. His acting as well as martial arts were really good and behind the scenes he just seems like a really nice guy

I have a question. Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's Son) was supposed to play Johnny Cage in the first MK Movie but died during the making of The Crow. Do you think he would have been better than Ashby or not?

i think Ashby was good in the first movie, but to me he didn't look the part.. and now he's a lot older he won't look it even more. I think Chris Evans (fantastic four) would play a good JC.

Defenitely Johhny Cage was the Star of MK1. His fight sequence with Scorpion was the best in the whole movie. But the speciality of Johhny cage in the MK games is his shadow kick and his nut cracker.

Johnny Cage: "Ok. I can deal with this. So..this is Outworld huh? I can see why they want a change of scenery."

(though they were shorter and more disappointing ones) also the movie was shorter than the first!
....Linden Ashby looks so old now, lol. But that's good because the Mk EarthRealm characters are in their late 30's-50's.

His death in MK Ann. sucked royally! Why didn't Raiden just resurrect him? Isn't he an all powerful god?

J.Cage is one of my fave chars in MK. The split punch on goro was the best!!!

And of course they've all aged - But that doesn't matter because Deadly Alliance takes place 10 years after MK1.

Yup, and maybe that's why they wanted to wait almost 10 years later to make another movie.

Well, in a way, yes. It wouldn't really matter to me, I mean, who else could do these roles? I hate seeing new people...unless they fit the character almost perfectly.
