It's almost showtime! Mortal Kombat II is just a month away and the theatrical sequel has announced the official sale of tickets with a final trailer showcasing more action and excitement. Lower your shades and set your sights on these fights -- if you don't mind a spoiler or two. Watch:

If you've made it this far then you can look forward to more highlights from the film, featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage, and a returning cast of characters who are ready to do battle to defend Earthrealm in the sacred tournament. Keep your eyes peeled for a certain Mortal Kombat co-creator working at the bar.

Ed Boon (Mortal Kombat: Legacy) features in the latest trailer, helping boost the credentials of the latest adaptation of his video game work. The bartender was previously revealed during New York Comic-Con and is sure to light up the box office with a little extra starpower.

Hiroyuki Sanada also returns as the hell-spawned Scorpion, who will once again continue his blood feud with a "reborn" Bi-Han -- the former Sub-Zero turned Noob Saibot! A preview of their showdown in the Netherrealm is sure to please. The ninja also appears in a new poster for the IMAX showing [pictured below]. Martyn Ford looms large as Emperor Shao Kahna, opposing the Edenian princess Kitana, played by Adeline Rudolph.

Mortal Kombat II is officially in theatres and IMAX May 8th, 2026. You can get your tickets right now via Fandango! Got yours? Get over here and tell us what row and seat! Find and discuss more movie mayhem in the Media & Merchandise forum!
