MKR, just because we were waiting so long, doesn't mean it'll be good. I mean, look at Tomb Raider. We've been waiting 4 years for Angel of Darkness to come out, and whaddaya know, it SUCKED (or so I've heard. Never played it)!!!!

I liked MKA, but I liked the original MK better because it had more of a theme. I'm sure people who didn't like MKA disliked it because:

It didn't have rules like a tournament.

Too much music from the soundtrack rather than the score

Costumes weren't believable

Several moves were too far-fetched

Just my 2 cents =)

I liked it too. But I'm not afraid to say it sucked!.... yeah most of the moves were WAAAAAAAAY far fetched.

but to stay on topic, if this game is soppused to be of mk4, then i would think it would be bad for if they had characters from mk:da, which would screw things up since the new characters in mk:da came AFTER shinnok being banished back into the netherrealm, i would say that, and thats, MY OPINION

however i agree with noob-. the story line just wouldn't make any sense. So they should start the shinnok saga, for the next movie. but I heard that they were gonna go back to the part with Kung Lao and Shaung. I don't know if it's true or not though.

Shinnok wasn't banished back to the netherealm. He was killed in MK4. He was banished in MKA

i think the movie needs some blood, but it has to look like real blood or real body parts.motal kombat hasnt young fans all the kids are happy with king of fighters. then why they would like see a movie of a game that they dont like? but the blood is also s problem cuz it could turn the movie into "scream9: shout before becoming stupid"

I dont even know why they try for a 3rd movie, in my opinion MKA fucked it up so bad I dont see any hope for a 3rd, I mean first off Shinnok being banished to the Netherealm in MKA? WTF, this ignores the fact he was the supreme ruler of the Netherealm for millions of years. To me resurrections are ok in video games but NOT in movies, even though Scorpion is already dead, I felt like he had no buisness in MKA. Another thing that was really screwed up is no characters were given their own identies, if they didnt look human the creators automatically sided them with Shao Kahn which really pisses me off cause now we dont have storylines such as Cyrax possibly becoming human in the movies anymore. The Liu and Kitana romance sucks. To me there is little hope and I think if they want any hope left for a successful movie they need to aim this movie for an R rating because what it really needs to be about is the fight against Shinnok with blood and fatalities being performed, Sub-Zero needs a big role because of his the secrets he holds for stopping Kahn, this is their chance to unwussify Jarek and do a whole bunch of good stuff but only if it achieves an R rating. Just my 2 cents.
