I want MK comics too. Make it dark horse comics though.

marvel owns darkhorse i think....and marvel is probably the powerhouse of the comic franchine....DC blows...the only good thing that came out of DC was batman and iron man could defenately take him out...but yea back on topic....they should come out with some new mk comics....just not malibu versions because i didnt like the way they animated it...they should make a mortal kombat graphic novel that told the story from beginning to end....mk1-mk:a...i would buy that

but they let the license expire, I too wish there was a comic book on MK as I would love to see it done too.

the malibu one was pretty bad, good art and a good first few issues but then it just went wacky

personally I would love to see Devils due do one so I would say go over to a comic book companies site like devils due and make your voice heard if enough people did that then I am sure the company would realistically look at the possibilities of doing it.

if all the fans got together and posted something like this then I think they would pursue it. Its going to have to be a small company too DC marvel or Dark horse wont do it and if they did once sales got small enough they would cancel it alot quicker than a smaller company

Dark Horse comics wouldnt do it so a small publisher would be the only one that would do it

yeah little interest when MKDA,MKD,and MKSM all went to greatest hits and a new movie in pre-production the biggest mk just around the corner and plenty of mk fans read comics

and ya I wouldnt want it kidified either I want it to be as violent and as bloody as the games

I would like it to be kept as realistic / in the real world setting as possible

for example keep the monsters( GORO / Motaro ? dragon King) in the tournaments only and in the shadows, perhaps when we do see Sheeva we see her wearing a cape hiding her extra 2 arms so when we see her she looks like a big muscle lady.

When they are revealed though make the people shocked - Like what the Hell,!!! give them the reaction a real person would have meeting a monster/god in real life

Yeah, I was kinda disappointed this never eventuated.

This, to me, seems like a very opportune time to do MK comics too.
With MK Armageddon bringing a degree of finality, if I got the license, I'd want to work with the guys and try to hammer out a definitive, sequential account of the MK canon.

You'd have to think it would be particularly effective if new games could tie into the promotion of it. It'd be a great device for new fans to go back and sift through the various takes on MK to arrive at a definitive version of each character, relationship and event.

It'd be a lot of fun.
If I were to gain any noteriety through self-publishing, this would be the first license I'd go after.

The new MK comics were cancelled for some reason, but no official word was given as to why. I know because I recently checked my local comics shop for them and they weren't even in the comic database. they told me if they were printed and released they'd be in their system but they weren't.

if you can find or have the MKD strat. guide there is some preview pages with gorgeous art (non-worded, non coulored) and if you go to this sites new archive to after MKD was released there was some more pages and some more coloured art

ive still got some of the mk comics i had as a kid.

i have the MKII comic leading up to the game,the new ones never came out unfortunately,I always ask about them whenever I go to the comic book store who knows maybe it will get picked up again

I guess I'm late to the party, but yeah, I'd love to see an MK comic. Considering how DarkHorse handles a lot of licensed properties (Godzilla, Star Wars, AvP, etc.), I think they'd do a good job.

I'd bid on it, Ninja_Arts! Yeah, a preview comic w/no color also came with those Fatality Controllers for the X-Box & PS2 by Nyko. You might still be able to get them at Blockbuster for cheap (10 or 15 bucks).

honestly JAX007's stuff is the best fan submissions out their he's honestly better than most comic book artists

god his stuff is awesome! seeing his work ,especially colored, only pisses me off more though I just cant believe there is no comic out there on thsi great franchise.

The petition I started isnt gathering a whole lot of sigs though so I am a bit dissapointed on that.

Jaz007 works in the comic book industry I wonder if he would know why no one has pursued this comic?

I am thinking the license for this is about 30k

so what if the fans got together and all pitched in

I figured if we can gather 60 fans and each pay 500 dollars each that would get the money for the license. In return those 60 fans would get every title and cover released for free for the life of the initial license. or if it makes a lot of money then it will be paid back to these members first before any profit taking.

I will personally put down $2,000 so I got the first 4 slots covered
