In the first movie Johnny cage beat both Goro and scropion, but in
Annihlation shano kan kills him in the first 2 min. Do u think this was a shitty idea to kill of Johnny cage in the movie thois quick or stupid too kill him off at all or no because nobody likes Cage

I think he should have died in the second film, since he died in the second game.
But I didnt like how they done it. there were too many pointless deaths in that film.
I'd liked to ahve seen him take on Rain, and perhaps get knocked down at one point, making him fall at Kahn's feet, then have Kahn kill him. that way, he and Rain would ahve had something to do in the film lol.

Johnny Cage's deaths have sense been Reconned from my understanding.
In MKDA, His Konquest stated that he never died and His supposed deaths were do to poor writing.

Ha! What a question:)
Of course he shouldn't have died in MKA. Everything about that film was retarded, except for the initial intro where ninjas were falling out of the sky.
I agree with you that I don't much like Johnny in the games, but I absolutely loved him in the first movie. If the MKA "writers" did wish to kill him, I would've had him go head-to-head against Kintaro, and have Kintaro avenge Goro's death (this time making sure to corner Johnny so no tactics could defeat Kintaro like his 4-armed predecessor).
Instead, we got Motaro, who was bested in a FAIR fight!
Then again, please don't get me started on the many flaws of that film.
I think it was because the "writers" had too many White guys running about, with Remar, Thompson, and Schone (sp), so they opted to give Conrad's Johnny Cage the boot as soon as possible. It's a sad fact that Linden Ashby was willing to return as Johnny in MKA, but he took one look at the single line he had and demanded that he be let out of the contract to make that sequel.
Good for him.

The ratio of threads responding to Annihilation negatively and positively is extremely one-sided. I'm beginning to wonder if this film is even worth mentioning anymore...
Oh, and of course Cage shouldn't have died. He was portrayed as Kang's right-hand man slightly in the first film, not to mention made out to be as strong as him... Then "Crack!", see you in The Heavens...

Looks like he's returning in the Third film.

I think MK:A was udder crap Cast and storyline.

I know! What's up with that!? Jax didn't even need his metal arms to take him... sad, I know...

You're confusing me, what line are you talking about, because i didn't hear one. But seriously, it was a downer seeing such a great character being downsized into an extra instead of a main actor...

Heya.
To answer your question, Skyboy, the one line from MKA that Johnny had was "This is not good", as Kahn and his puppets surrounded the kombatants. That's it.
I read an interview by Linden Ashby, years ago, where he was asked why he did not return to MKA, and he said that when he joined the first film, he signed a contract saying he'd return for a sequel if told to do so. But when he saw his part in MKA, he demanded that he be let out of that contract, which he was. Instead, we got Chris Conrad (obviously because he looks like Ashby), who is actually a good actor and physically fit too (saw him as a guest star in several episodes of Hercules : The Legendary Journeys - too bad he's no longer acting now), and they got rid of him too!
Instead, we have "actors" like Pantaeva, who couldn't deliver a line with credibility if their lives depended on it, having top billing.
And on another topic from earlier, yeah, Jax flooring Motaro was a laugh, wasn't it? :) Goro in the first movie was the personification of a juggernaut, brutal, merciless, too tough to ever take down, till he was outsmarted and tossed off the cliff's edge. But in the sequel, we got the Power Ranger-style moral speech along with the accompanying lame-ness.
Threshold screwed up big, big, big, BIG time with MKA. What a waste.

He does die in the games, but I think they could have pulled it off better in the movie. They didn't even give the viewers time to connect with Johnny Cage, but they did that with a lot of the characters in the movie *crap*...

^Ditto^
Johnny Cage should have lived untill half way into the movie. That was complete crap to see him get his neck snapped in such a pathetic way so early in the movie. Johnny Cage was such an awsome character in the first movie and in the second movie you have no idea on his personality because his life was snatched from him in an instant.
