I am yet to see an MK fan site calling MKA a good movie and being excited that Johnny John is coming back to direct MK3.

actually they are not the same actors, Linden Ashby will most likely come back to reprise his role as Johnny Cage, and MK Christopher Lambert or whatever will reprise his role as God of Thunder Rayden, and the only MKA actor that I know is coming Bakc is Jax, Lyyn red Williams, but the same director.......

I just don't get you people. MKA was a good movie. It wasn't a great movie, but it was good. Sure, some scenes really needed improving, and some characters could have given more stories to them, but the movie overal is a good movie. It's very atmospheric and the guy that played Kahn had done an incredible job of bring the character to the screen. Why is some people always bashing movies based on video games?

No. It had bad special effects, TERRIBLE acting, TERRIBLE dialogue, TERRIBLE story and character development, CHEESY stuff, bad fight scenes, NO atmosphere whatsoever, the costumes were just...disgraceful...
I did think Brian Thompson was cool at times. He was not cool, however, when he started to bark at Liu Kang. And a few lines from one actor don't make a movie good.

Zentile, i agree that some of the things in mk:a weren't very good... But i DO NOT agree that the fight scenes were bad... Also there is some other dude who says that he hates everyone that likes the mk:a movie, isn't that a little bit exagerated? What if your best friend, partner, mother, or father were to say they liked the movie, would you hate them too? btw, Lynn "red" Williams was great as Jax, And Keith Cooke Hirabayashi and J.J. Perry ruled as Sub-Zero and Cyrax. Not for the dialogs, but for the fights, wich WERE good. No need for flaming me, since i will not return to this thread, i just wantde to make my opinion heard.

P.S. Hey Zentile, now you have seen an MK fan who likes the movies...

I like the movie. I hate the second one, though.

And the fight scenes were hardly good. Besides Sub-Zero vs Scorpion (which was too damn short), Cyrax vs Jax and Sonya vs Mileena, I can't think of any other fights in the movie that I actually liked.

MKA was the almost as bad as Street Fighter.

The director sucked and should never make another MK movie.

MKA had some good fight scenes but added with the dumbest storie line bad speacial effects and a goffy lookin Raiden the movies was just trash. liu kang Annimalitie sucked.

Rain was killed by a freakin hammer.

Jax arms looked like rubber.

The last fight scene sucked ass.

The whole movie was trash and should never be spoke of again.

Now the first MK movie was good. it stayed faithful to the game and had the best fights, my favorite being the fight between liu Kang and Reptile.

it is not the directors fault. not by far. its the script and the editing that suffered. aswell as the costume department and loactions. thats the work of others not the director. the picture quality was actually quite good and the shots weren't that bad either. also the actors didnt help much either. especially since there was no stand-out roles or good diallouge. meh i still enjoy it more than a ton of other cheesy films out there.

what do you meen its not the directors fault - of coars it is. Dumbass its all about direction. The actors suck period but most of that is direction. Look at the new Star-Wars movies, they sucked ass even with a great cast of actors, and all because of direction.

Everything about Annihilation was terrible. Costumes were wack, direction was boring.......story and acting...lame......but what killed me the most was that THE FIGHTING SUCKED!?!? How can fighting in a mortal kombat movie suck? Especially the Scorpion/Subby fight........so fucking dissapointing.

MKA is infact a great movie, to me, and if you have a problem with the fact that some people enjoy watching it, then you need to back off man. Hell, I watch both of the MK movies once or twice a week. Yeah, that's right. There are about 5,000,000,000 other movies that suck more then MKA.
