Jet would be good as Kung Lao cuz he has that serious look....I was just thinkin that maybe someone else step up. I just hope they have a good person...and maybe Wesley Snipes should play Kai....lol

Jet Li would be a better person to play Kung Lo. Jackie Chan is a good fighter, but I don't think that his style fits Kung Lo's figting style.

I've told a thousand times, why Jet Li should not enter the realm of MK. I've made examples of different ways it could go, and none of them would be good for MK. But shortly, Jet Li would steal the name of MK.
I think the actor who played him is just fine. His name is Paolo Montalban. Also played Prince in Cinderella, which he considers his favourite role. And, I'm the only person in the world to have a transcript of a chat with him. lol.

Which is why I say that someone else should play Kung Lao...Has anyone seen Cradle 2 the grave? The villian in that is Mark Dacascas and his really good but ppl be sleepin on him.

Mark Dacascas is AWSOME FIGHTER !!!
He also played in "Only The Strong" and "The Crow" and lots of other movies ...
He got more than 1 style of fighting but he wont be a goot kong lao, I really think that the guy from CONQUEST should be kong lao ...

I hope Kung Lao is NOT played by Paolo Montalbon. He already played the Great Kung Lao in MKC. So he should not have to also play the modern/present day Kung Lao. Since thery are 2 DIFFERENT CHARACTERS THEY SHOULD BE PLAYED 2 DIFFERENT ACTORS!!!!

why not paolo. he should get a shot on the mk big screen since he was good in mkc. and i see no problem with him being the modern kung lao.

actually, I'd want a new talent to play Kung Lao. If he is supposed to be alike the original, then have the same actor. But then again, some difference would be good.

There is no official source that says who's gonna play Kung Lao in MK3. The only official thing is that Kung Lao is a character who will appear in MK3. I'm sure the makers of the film are interviewing or auditioning actors right now. If their doing that it's gonna be a long time until we know who will play Kung Lao. I still don't believe their gonna use Paolo.
The only character played by the same actor in MKC and MK1 the movie was Scorpion (Chris Cassamassa).

I say someone who is not a "bigtime" action star, (such as Jet Li, or Jackie Chan). It would'nt make since to make a movie like Mortal Kombat, with all the attention focussed on one character. Why not give some actor who is'nt well-known, but can really kick butt, a chance.

Well, if they put Kung Lao in MK3, they should have him wear the 1st Kung Lao costume from MKDA. When I imagine Kung Lao with the hat on his head in the movies, it just looks goofy.

you people who are saying that jet lee should play kung lao in mk3 are freaking itiots! if you have ever seen jet lee in a movie you would speculate that he is always wearing shiny tight clothes and mabee a leather jacket. only an itiot would make jet lee wear loose clothes and a big ass hat. if he could play anybody in the movie, then it would defitly be movado.

well i wouldnt particularly be happy if either jet li or jackie chan were kung lao. they have their movies. get someone new and fresh... who actually looks like kung lao =X

He should wear the hat on his back, like that guy in Lord of the Rings.
