1. Dialogue
2. Presentation (doesn't feel like a Mortal Kombat movie)
3. Characters (they may have the names, but they don't represent them well. EX/ Baraka looks like an Orc from The Lord of the Rings and Shao Kahn looks like Miguel from Tekken. WTF?!)
4. So far I have yet to finish one episode... they are so BORING!
5. Every Mortal Kombat fan knows the back stories of every character, and the versions that legacy has come up with have nothing to do with them and are very bleak.
6. Not enough creativity (I get the budget limitations, but I can't help but feel the ones who wrote the script/directing/producing has any idea what they are doing or care.
I can go on, but for my time sake, I will not. As a hardcore Mortal Kombat fan, I knew from what I saw of "Mortal Kombat: Rebirth" that this Legacy s***was not going to succeed and from what I already saw, I know it won't get any better. I honestly feel like I'm watching a high school's version of The Lord of the Rings. Just horrible.

To be fair, you could have simply said all this the other day when you made a similar thread and put nothing in the OP but a cough.
Also, the fact that someone can't sit through a single 10 minute episode disturbs me for some strange reason.

I apologize for not writing more, but the thought of how bad this series is to me disturbs me. And yes, the episodes might only be 10 minutes, and I can usually sit through any movie/tv show without any problem, but when watching the first episode, I just couldn't wait for it to be over! And please, believe when I say, I wanted this to succeed, I went into it with a clear mind and heart, cause what fan wants their franchise to fail? Not me, but "Mortal Kombat: Legacy" has failed to impress me the least bit and for me... first impressions are everything.

Legasy does suck, but it's better than Annihilation and that's enough for some fans.

Anything's an improvement over Annihilation. And I will gladly take that
Now why I think Legacy hasn't failed,
because you're in the minority.
You can take those points you wrote about, make them the opposite and those are my words. Characters have been awesome, presentation's been great, and at the end of every episode I always want more.
Considering you're a fan of MK, I suggest you go to the doctor to see if you have ADD because not being able to sit through a ten minute episode of a show based on a franchise you're a fan of means you have a microscopic attention span.

And I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was a kid, and I sat through every episode so far, lol.

You lost me at number four.... How could you judge it if you haven't seen one full episode?

One more day until epsiode 5.
...God, I hate just the thought of saying those first 3 words.

I think thus far (four episodes in) its a fun "adaption" of MK, but its not to be taken too seriously, its not like its part of the established MK canon.
That said, I feel underwhelmed by most of it. There were bits of the first two episodes I liked, but I thought the slow motion crap was waaaayy overused. I don't like my Sonya looking like an old leather handbag either.
The Cage episode is so far the best, its fun and hell it even has a cameo from Boon so that's a nice extra. The reason I like this episode better than the others is because it has the best fight sequences thus far and Shang Tsung's appearance at the end is awesome.
Episode 4 is my least favorite. The story is solid, the effects (I'm aware of the low budget) suck, the animation is out of place, Baraka and Kahn look like crap and Sindel's suicide has a new albeit pointless purpose. I really, REALLY dislike Kahn's look, get that man a cow skull to wear lol!
I hope episode 5 improves on part 4, but that shouldn't be too hard...
Seriously, give Shang some more screen time, I don't care if he is short, I really like what little I have seen of the actor so far.

Your universe is evil and uncomfortable, alien man.
I like mine better.

Oh...the crybaby fanboys again, criticizing somethng as if they are experts in everything....no wonder, just seeing at all the garbage and retarded shit they post on the MK 2011 forum is enough.

Is that directed at the OP or everyone else?
I love the attitude around here, if you like it you're awesome, if you didn't like it your a fanboy (which most of the users are, after all look where you are at: a website DEDICATED to Mortal Kombat).
Peeps need to stop getting all butthurt because some of the fans have negative things to say about it.
Get over it, its just a web series anyways. Its no better or worse than any other MK adaptions.

While i will admit that the Scorpion and Sub Zero episodes were awesome, the fights were much more realistic (both in terms of coreography and the style of martial arts presented) than both the films combined, and the dramatic dark tone of the series was pretty much spot on, that's about it for me and Tancharoen's work.
I really don't care about Rebirth, i thought it was completely out of place in the way it portrayed Baraka and Reptile. The Legacy series has a better feel to it, closer to the original source material, yet the Raiden episode brought it closer to Rebirth, which was trying to make an almost cartoon-esque story into a live action worthy realistic tale. I really didn't like that. I can say that i had a better time watching the Kitana & Mileena episodes than Raiden's.
All in all, i really don't like the concept of remaking the first movie, which is what Tancharoen's project is leading up to, be it under the format of a feature film or a web series. The movie was awesome and there was little that i would change about it. In a dream land, the perfect continuation for the MK movie/series cannon would be to remake Annihilation, taking the story from where it left off in the end of the first movie.
This may be due to my general disregard for remakes, thou.

Here's the thing thou.......This is NOT a remake it's a reboot because it's doing what the other films were doing and that's adapting the videogames. Just like the new videogame was also a reboot because it was another interpretation on the source material.

For the point that i was trying to make, it makes no difference whether you call it a remake or a reboot. It is leading up to re telling the story of the first tournament, which in my opinion was more than perfectly adapted in the first movie. Although the backstories he is trying to show us through Legacy are not that badly told (with the absolute exception of Raiden's...), i see no reason to drag through the same story all over again. I'd much rather see an adaptation of the MKII storyline, even with his own particular directing style and intrepretation of the source material.

Here's the problem I'm seeing here. It's the fanboys who say this is successful because the fanboys will say anything MK is good because they know nothing better would be made, as the crew have threatened us.
Simply put, MK: Legacy is NOT being picked up by any major media/showbiz news source other than video game newsources. I read EW frequently and never once has it mentioned MK: Legacy.
Mk:Legacy made it off to a good start with the first two episodes, then it went downhill from there. It really feels like something a group of highschool or Full Sail kids have put together and will soon be categorized with The Live Tour, Animated Video (although that did make the Billboard top charts in 1996 for top video sales), the novels, sticker album, TUG2MKCD, Conquest, DOTR, and MK3. About the only good things around that time were the movie and the Hasbro figures.

I really hope that Threshold would come up with a third MK feature film (as apparently they hold the rights to it, aswell as Warner does), completely disregarding MK: Annihilation and taking the story right from where it left off at the end of the first MK movie.
