both movies should have followed the games storyline better, but Johnny died in the game (the movie was based in MK3 if you didn't already know). the ONLY good thing about MKA was the Cyrax vs Jax fight. the rest sucked horribly. there were bloopers every where. but I say the part that just kicked my pants was when Rayden was about to fight 3 Reptiles but one dissappears.

Yes, there's been so many threads about this shit aswell. I'm so fucking tired of people bashing MKA. And I myself consider it to be one of the worst movies I've ever seen.

The worst thing had to be the Animalities. At the end of a terrible film, in the middle of the final fight - what do they do - change into 80's special effects dragons... I absolutely hate that part of the movie, and I am one of the very few that dont think it's quite as bad - oh dont get me wrong, it's still horrible - as most make it out to be. But that scene really takes the cake for worst, and in a movie like MKA, it must be pretty damn bad...

Everything was bad about this movie. Where do I begin(I really feel like typing). From the start I had a feeling that this movie was going to hurt me emotionally. The second I saw Jonny Cage I'm sure that everyone let out the same three words.....WTF??? Then the minions dropped from the sky....The most frightening thing about them was there acting.They tried so hard to look menacing.....Next rayden shows up...once again WTF?? Next was the only redeeming part of the movie, the fake Jonny cage lying on the floor, his neck freshly snapped, Splendid. Its sad that the other actors couldn't escape this career butchering movie as easily. My next gripe is the fight scenes which get worse as the movie goes on. The mud wrestling fighting between Sonya and Milleena was an insult to Males everywhere. I couldn't believe they could stoop that low. Another bad Fight scene with two Mildly attractive women splashing around in mud....I couldn't get an erection for 3 days after that shameless attempt to get us excited....The fight between Scorpion and sub zero was boring as well. Nightwolf shows us his idioicy by throwing a tomahawk at Liu Kang.I wish it had killed him so I could see nightwolf's reaction.I think this is around the time I passed out..... When I awoke from my slumber I saw that many of my fellow movie goers had joined me in sleep...Lucky bastards. The rest of the movie got worse and worse as I'm sure we all know so their no point in going any further. Bad fight scenes, horrible acting, No blood, Crappy special effects and stupid looking costumes......Oh well At least Its better than Street fighter the movie....or is it???

Ok, what the shit are you talking about? I understand that women could be offended by that fight (actually, I don't, but whatever) but males? Quite frankly, I never really even saw it as ''an attempt at getting us excited'' until some girl on mk5.org pointed out to me that it was ''mud wrestling''. There were never really any shots of cleavage, ass, or nip slips. I just saw it as a cool, fast paced fight. If you didn't get excited watching it (and infact, had to wait three days until you could get an erection again), why did you see it as a sexual thing? Kind of contradictive if you ask me.
And how could you not get an erection for three straight days after you saw the ''mud wrestling'' scene? I'm sorry, and I swear to god I'm not trying to be offensive here, but that sounds like a pretty loser-ish characteristic. I'm pretty sure you're alone on that one, bud.
The fight was pretty cool. It was face paced, it had nice moves, weapons (the sai), the music rocked and the set looked pretty realistic, in contrast with the bogus b-movie type of sets in most of the fight scenes.

I never thought I'd actually be defending MKA, but honestly you people just nitpick about the dumbest shit, and it's pretty clear that you just dug deep into the movie, trying to find crap to rant and complain about, because you have no apreciation for the work that went into this movie, and nothing else to do.

You know what, I don't think it was. They never showed any sort of cleavage, ass or nipples-through-shirts. And if it was and you didn't get excited anyway, so what? Can't you apreciate the scene for what it is? It had awesome music, and it was easily one of the best fights in the movie.
Sure they tried adding a bit of spice by having them fight in the mud, but there was still work put into the fight itself. You don't have to be excited to enjoy it, unless you're a nitpicking asshole. And I'm not saying you are. Again, I'm not trying to start anything here. But really, if you thought it was so tasteless and if it made you so disgusted, you need to learn how to see the good side in things, because it was still an awesome fight, even if it didn't get you horny.

Anyway, MKA was a disgrace to the MK franchise and it does not honour anything to do with the MK mythos like the MK1 did. So as stated above, i agree that the worst thing about MK:A is that it exists.

The music was also pretty bad. No classical music anymore, they simply HAd to put in Scooter with the fight scene of Smoke vs. Liu Kang. WTF was that about? Firestarter? For Smoke? ...

Not to mention the scene where Smoke kicks Kitana and he begins to fly linearly backward-ever heard of the power-counterpower law of the phy-sics? it looked so dumb.

keep in mind that the stuns used in MKA were old school because the movie has been made a fair while back..yes...time flys... but if you compared stunts from MKA to something like the matrix its easily compared.

The worse thing about MKA was the fact that some of the most definitive characters of MK got less screen time than NIghtwolf and Cyrax. These guys must have had their heads pretty deep in their asses if they thought we wanted to stare at the special forces for about the sum of an hour and not see Subzero and Scorpion, some of the creations who most heavily attributed to MK.

The character progression was just stupid. How could you disrespect Scorpion and Sub zero with only one fight, and where did they go after that. Sheva had a few lines then was crushed. But I found something very odd. Just before Rain was killed(he only had like 2 lines) he mentioned Kabal and Stryker, well where were they. I wonder if anyone else caught that.
