The slow and steady release of Mortal Kombat 1 downloadable content will continue next week with the confirmed arrival of Mavado. The returning throwback fighter is the fourth of five Kameo Fighter assist characters added through the first Kombat Pack. Read on for details:
Tuesday, May 7th will mark the long awaited official release of Mavado, who previously appeared in the official gameplay trailer for this month's fully playable DLC character: Ermac.
The Red Dragon rogue was part of a confirmed line-up revealed last July, completing an almost year-long wait, which will ultimately conclude with Takeda and Ferra Kameo. Comic book and television guest character Homelander is next.
Mavado was part of a new generation of characters introduced with 2002's Deadly Alliance, wielding unique grappling hooks and hookswords taken from arch-rival Kabal in special attacks. The villain last appeared in Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, assisting clan leader Daegon, and also had a featured role in Mortal Kombat X comic books.
