But that's just me. Of course Kenshi will be in there. Daegon is very much talked about. Also, Taven is very cool. Fujin is a heavily requested fan character. And Reiko and Havik have got to be 2 of the best villains in Mortal Kombat. Their feats in the comic were awesome and they accomplished a lot, similar to iconic villains Shao Kahn, Shang Tsung, Shinnok or Quan Chi.

If we only get 6 3D era characters it would be insanely stupid. There's also Frost who NRS hasn't forgotten about. Ashrah and Nitara are interesting. There are also Bo'Rai Cho, Li Mei, Kai, Tanya, Onaga....I can't believe 6 is all we're gonna get.

I don't want to believe the rumour is true. 10 places on the roster wouldn;t be enough for 3D era characters

Wasn't the rumor already debunked? A poster said JamesMK (the guy who spoiled the final MKX cast) said it was all a hoax and he hadn't spoke with anyone on the MK11 production team.

In any case, it's better to keep extremely low-to-moderate expectations for 3d-era cast, a lot of people on the board got stung pretty bad during MKX. Personally, I don't think we'll see more than two (new) revamped 3d-era fighters.

I imagine MK11 cast will break down like this:

- 15 trilogy characters MINIMUM (maybe 8 who weren't in X), including Quan Chi / Kenshi
- 5 of the new MKX characters returning (Cassie, Jacqui etc)
- 7 brand new characters
- 2 or 3 MAX 3d-era characters as fan service

There just isn't the respect or motivation to revisit those 3d-era characters again, even though many had potential and the trilogy characters are extremely played out at this point. Bear in mind NRS worships the trilogy cast, 15 is literally the minimum they'll bring back, and much more likely 19/20. Doesn't leave a lot of space.

I believe the friendshipagain overestimated the new and returning MKX characters.

In MKX there were 29 characters (excluding guests who would not be in the base game) 6 3D characters (Kenshi, Bo Rai Cho, Tanya, Tremor, Quan Chi and Shinnok). It is expected that in the next game this number is even greater due to the end of the generation along with completing another trilogy, so you can expect 6-7 characters (outside DLCs and Bosses) if the cast has 30 characters. Something like 15 Trilogy characters, 4-5 new characters, 3-4 MKX characters.

I wouldn't mind if they brought Dairou back. I actually liked him in MKD. Everything about him was cool. He is pretty much a Persian warrior and MK needs someone like him.

I would like to see the following:

I feel like they all have been sorely underused and I think the core concept for them has a lot of potential. I feel that Quan Chi, Kenshi, Tanya, and Bo’ Rai Cho have been in enough games over the last 15 years. Give some of the other 3D characters a chance lol.

Though I’d also be happy if Nitara, Kira or Skarlett came back as well. Of course, Kira would need an entirely new move set, so that probably eliminates her, or at least makes her seem less likely.

I dunno, I’d like to see Skarlett come back. I’d like to see what she could be without having to serve anyone. She could be the “red female ninja,” but maybe her alt and story is that of a character that’s more like a blood mage that’s learning to truly understand her powers.

As for Nitara, while I like the idea of vampires in MK, I never really dug the huge wings. Maybe if they were more cloak-like and puffed out on flying related attacks, that might make for a cool, dark character. Otherwise, she felt very “One note” in MKDA in terms of her story relevance, so I’d be curious to see what they’d do with her.

As for the ones I actually picked, I just love certain aspects of their designs, whether it’s the updated looks for Fujin, Li Mei and Sareena, or all the untapped potential I’ve always seen in a capoeira style with a new chosen one in Kai, the cool trench coat / Omega Red extension pulleys for Mavado or the myriad of story possibilities for the half demon Sareena. I think all six, including a Sareena foil in Drahmin, would all make great addditions.

If this six characters thing is bogus, I’ll be sad. We’ve seen so much of the trilogy cast in recent games going all the way back to MKvsDC. Give some of these characters a game offso I can miss them, especially characters with minimal to no story relevance.

1. Havik (to team up with his new buddy Noob Saibot and wreak HAVOC)

2. Frost (replacing Sub-Zeros old ass and join the new kids on the block aka Jin, Cassie, Takeda, Jacqui)

3. Hotaru (you can't just have Havik, and they really dropped the ball on this one in MKD)

4. Nitara (let's explore her and that lost realm of hers a bit more)

5. Fujin (Raiden is "corrupt" now, so...)

6. Onaga (with more originality in his fighting style and moves... and not as a sluggish monster-boss)



I wanted to say Reiko like most people... but ask yourself what is his purpose without Shinnok or Shao Kahn?
