Well that tears it. At first I was skeptical due to the inconsistencies in character portraits but those screen captures seel it. I'm loving Kano's MK3 attire and Noob Saibot, well, he looks a little generic so I will have to withhold my judgement until I get a better view of him. Kotal looks neat, but he always does. My issue with him was how dry his personality was and how he didn't look his role in MKX. Give him a Saber-Toothed Tiger skull to wear or something that says "The guy who took over for Shao Kahn" a little more.

Okay I won't be a complete asshole from what I can see, he actually looks kind of cool this go around. So I'll wait and see. He may be Kano light but if he looks good, I can look past that.

Really the thing that has me most hyped with this reveal is the return of MK3 attire for certain characters. Really digging it on Liu Kang. That was always my favorite Liu next to Robin Shou.

I’m gettin a little nervous about how grindy the unlocks are going to be. If it is anything close to For Honor that is going to suck royally.

I'm okay with this roster. I don't LOVE this roster. But I'm okay with it.

Assuming the little addendum leak adding Shang, Mileena & Shinnok proves true, I'd say I was happy with it. Not over the moon. But happy. Mileena bumps me up from "okay" to "happy" ... Shang is a good edition too. Shinnok is just gravy really, at that point.

My only relatively minor complaints are (as always) I'd have liked to have seen more PS2 era characters, and I feel it's missing a little something without Reptile. So I'd hope for both in DLC.

I...like this roster. I don't love it...but it'll play.

Also, 9 blanks? So 6 DLC and unlockables?

Hopefully half the unlocks don't depend on you subjecting yourself to Online matches and challenges.

I would have been salty about this roster for mkx but they are making me genuinely like characters that I didn’t in the past. So I’m ok with it.

So I've gotten into more arguments with people than I can remember on this forum the past month or two about whether Rain was going to be in this game. Usually they revolved around people saying that menu pic that looked like him confirmed him, and me saying I wasn't convinced that pic was even Rain... much less that it confirmed him. Then you know... we'd argue from there with no facts to support ourselves.

I'm staring at a thread right now where KenshiMaster was 95% sure Rain was in and debated me tooth and nail about the subject, and Barakall was 100% sure he was in... (And they both used actual percentages, that's not me putting words in their mouths)...

Now... I DON'T want to Necro a bunch of old threads just for the sake of doing the same "I told you so" dance 7 times... which is why I'll just say here...

A little shook myself not seeing Reptile on the roster. He's never missed a game. That is if we disregard original MK3. I personally consider Onaga as a Reptile appearance.
