Smoke's hair looks ridiculous. Its not that he has hair, itsthat his hair looks like shit.

I'm starting to think that Smoke's hair is going to be....smoky? I doubt it's going to stick like it does in that render, I can see it being somewhat flowing? I dunno, it's just my thoughts.

I'm sure it will look funny when people do head-based fatalities on him, that would totally rock.

And i'm 100% sure it waves like some smokecloud on his head when he's in battle.

I think these are fantastic! Attention to detail is really impressive.

For the record: I agee with WarriorPrincess. I don't think Sindel looks too old. I think she looks exactly like she should: A middle aged (well by Edenian standards anyway) Edenian woman. It would be absurd for her to look as young as Kitana (or even close). Edenians do age, just very slowly. So it makes sense that Sindel would start to show signs of aging.

Someone who does look a lot older than they should is Kung Lao. I mean c'mon.. what happened there? Did he get his soul drained by Shang one too many times? He really looks awful there.


Other than Lao.. I really have no complaints. Everyone looks great!


Best render of them all, however, goes to Stryker. Definitely most improved design.

He does, he looks too cartoony.


Other than that, Cyber Sub-Zero still makes me get the chills because of how cool he looks!

milaana, I also don't mind that he has hair, I just don't like how they did his hair. Every character with long hair in this game ends up looking like they have the title character from the game "catapillar" stuck to their head in gameplay. Also, I don't like that he looks like a character from Final Fantasy in his VS. screen. maybe he'll carry a huge sword too! I just don't think it fits in the game. I don't mind redesigns and I never wanted him to look like a Scorpion pallette swap but this was just an attempt that, IN MY OPINION, failed. Really though that's the only complaint I have. I don't mind Quan Chi's look even though it is the same as it was before...that look worked for him even if it doesn't fit the story. The only character design I can't say I like is Smoke. I just won't play as him. No big deal. But if we were not allowed to express our opinions on this site the discussion would be limited to:
-"Here are the vs screens"
-"Yes they are"
-"I agree. those are the VS. screens"

There is nothing wrong with Sonya's versus render. Some of you people complain waaaay too much, and this coming from someone who has never said that before in years of having an MKO account. The only distinct difference between hers and everyone else's is that she's grinning as opposed to looking angry, and I fail to see how that's anything but good and refreshing. Her facial features are finely detailed (yes, including and especially her lips and teeth), and look beautiful. As someone who rightfully complained about her MKDC render, I'm starting to believe some of you guys are crazy.

I'm pleasantly surprised by Stryker. He seems like a completely different character from his first incarnation, and that's good.

Smoke still looks awfully weird to me. Kung Lao is looking more like a Tarkatan breed than Mileena at this point... why did they make him so ugly?

Quan Chi looks like he smelled something very, very nasty.

Sheeva looks good! Wasn't expecting much from her. She looks savage, kind of like a monstrous Amazonian. Very fitting.

Sindel looks like an old version of Fergie, her lips have the same exact outline. I like Keith's edit a lot, but given the voice they've bestowed upon Sindel in this game, she would need to look older than usual.

I like Kano's as well. His stands out amid everyone else. Don't know about that fleshy outline around his plate, though... didn't really like it around Jax's shoulders, either. Minor gripe, however. Overall, he's looking great!

Kabal is nasty lol, but as a big advocate for variety, I approve. Someone brought up a good point, though, about his long flowing hair despite having been burned to the point of disfigurement
