I'm among Tanya's biggest supporters,
but can you rationalize why they would save the reveal of Tanya for such a ridiculously specific, public venue as Comic Con?

I thought you would be among the few to not be in denial as to what a reveal at Comic Con means...

After the success that this game has had, I doubt NRS cares if a single fan doesn't buy their game anymore. Maybe back during the time they were making another game after the shit-storm that was MKA but not anymore.... sorry chief.

I think there are a lot of people who wouldn't buy mk10 if they went the route of joke characters. I know for sure I wouldn't. If that means someone won't "take me seriously," I'm okay with that. I almost gave up when I saw what they did to Shang Tsung. But now I have Lady in Purple to hope for.
On topic, I don't think any more that it's Tanya. They're making too big a production of it, and if any MK character were going to be revealed in such spectacular fashion, it would be Rain over Tanya. Sadly, it bodes well for a guest character.

Okay QUESTION!

To everyone who is suggesting Tanya, or Sareena, or Hsu Hao, or any other mk character as the 4th DLC... what is your reasoning? Please explain why you think they would pay alot of money to have a spot with comic con, just to announce a normal basic character? Id argue that there were more Rain fans demanding him than any other character... and yet they released him 3rd.. not only did they release him 3rd, but they announced him weeks before he was released... you dont think that they would go through alll this mystery just to announce someone like Tanya do you?

Why do you think it would be a generic MK fighter and not a guest character or rumored MK character? That just doesnt make sense. And be honest, because there is a difference between who you hope and would like to see, versus what is more likely and realistic.

Because Warner Brothers has made several quite a lot of super hero movies and because Netherrealm Studios is owned by Warner Brothers, why shouldn't they get to reveal any kind of character there? It would be a cool place to reveal a character at.
