I wouldn't mind cyber Smoke. Im not a fan of multiple versions of the same character; The evil Ruys and oni Akumas and shit, but I would take him over any guest character for sure!

Boon's list was- Kenshi(In), Rain(In), new character(We can assume this was Skarlet-In), Tanya, Shinnok, and Cyber-Smoke.

But it sounds like they're drifting away from making Shinnok DLC.

I don't care what you do with the secret. I'm a very patient person.

I just think it's rude to let people know you got a great secret that you know what's what and not tell, but you'll just tell everyone that you got that secret. That's not nice nor is it fair to others... Especially when you have the audacity to tell one other person.

Got a secret, either spill it in a way where people just think you're guessing/estimating/assuming/etc. Or keep quiet that you know what's what.

Well that's kinda my POINT... you don't KNOW any better than we do if the guy is telling the truth, but at least you HAVE the information and can formulate an opinion for YOURSELF... one way or another... the rest of us are left in the dark stewing.

I hardly care if this guy is proven right tomorrow. What I CARE about is the information he claims to have, but isn't revealing.

If he ISN'T sure the information is true, and he clearly CAN share it with one person, WHY can he not share it with everyone? We don't know his real identity. We don't know the identity of his friend. HE doesn't even know if this information is true. And even if none of that were the case, the reveal is tomorrow... I don't think NRS is gonna come hunt any of us down over a spilled rumor the night beforehand. Hell EVERY bit of information in the vanilla base game leaked about a month before release... not just on one guy's word... but HARD FILES... Pictures... Evidence...

And I don't think they came here hunting for any of us afterward.

So I'm a little confused as to what the hell the point of all the cloak and dagger, hush hush BS is... If he's here to tell us he can tell us, and if he's adamantly clinging to the idea that he's NOT going to tell us, he's just being a bragadocious tease... and I could care less if he's proven right tomorrow, after this secret is no longer relevent.

He claims it's a character we've already seen in game. I doubt highly that it's a character who hasn't already been mentioned. I don't think Boon will hunt him now just for dropping a name dozens of other people have likely already dropped...

If he tells us what he knows, half of us can say "Awesome! I believe you!" and half of us can say, "You liar! That's BS!" and we can move the hell on...

And then I might actually care if he's proven right or not tomorrow, because we'll likely have a bit of discussion about the likelihood that his information is true or not.

I've got to say, not to piss on anyone's parade, but if it IS cyber smoke I'll be heartily disappointed. Should be alternate costume at most. The fan's who've requested him as an entirely seperate, alternate character, have been - imo - a little bit self-indulgent.

A cyber version of Sub is more than enough.

It's a bit of a shame Ed flew in with 6 choices, but didn't specifically listen to the fans - the forum poll for who posters most wanted (amounting to priceless market research any company would pay a ton for). Which had Fujin listed right near the top, though it seems he was never really considered.

I agree Cyber Smoke is better than a guest character, but then I'd rather have Mokap than a guest character - doesn't say much for CySm really does it?
