I complain about people feeling like they didn't get their money's worth with the season pass, not about Freddy.

I also complain about shit character design. I believe I have a right to do so.

I complain about characters like Dairou, Kai, Darrius, Ashrah, Blaze, Onaga,Moloch, and Hotaru because they are shit to begin with. Whether that's in the form of design, powers, story, fatalities, or anything else that goes into an MK character.

And I find it almost ironic that the guest characters have been treated with more respect and care than half the fucking cast of Armageddon. That's what I complain about.

If you can't seem to grasp that, that's really not my problem.


I grasp it just fine, actually. I don't see why anyone here is complaining about the opinions of others. I find it a little ridiculous that you or anyone else in this thread would come at anybody for openly disliking something for whatever reason, only to turn around and bitch about existing material or otherwise. Everyone is entitled to a viewpoint on this matter, so it's utterly senseless to debate whose opinions are correct. It's Kratos all over again here.

I happen to like Kai, but to each his own. Plenty of people hate anything post MKT and that's fine by me. I for one hope that they find a way to re-work all of the existing fighters somehow, but if not, then they're best left out.

Guest characters being treated like VIPs is WB's doing, not NRS. WB shelled out the coin for the usage rights, so they're making damn sure that NRS squanders any opportunity to improve the existing cast in the name of making Kratos not react to fatalities.

No dude, it's pretty clear that you don't grasp it. I don't give a flying roach shit whether or not somebody complains about guest characters being in this game. What I have a problem with, is this idea that despite 3 other very solid, very fun characters having been rolled out during the season pass, it somehow all seems to be negated with this.

You like Kai. And that's fine. I wouldn't come at you for liking Kai, despite the fact that I feel, right now he stands as a completely worthless character with a bad core design. But I would never dismiss him without first giving him at least a try in a new game first.

Are you kidding me? Name another fighting game where you can use Freddy! There are none. Name a fighting game where you can use Cyber Smoke or Tanya... yeah, tell me again why this doesn't attract people to MK that wouldn't usually play it?

I'm literally like "Lulwhat?" after seeing that. Would have preffered Reiko but at least I'm not forced to download Freddy. Would much prefer is a killer who never displayed any real aptitude in combat kinda stayed in camp horror movies, but I wont hate on him being in the game because it changes nothing.

You could also look at it as "I BOUGHT THIS MOTHER FUCKER ALONG WITH RAIN AND KENSHI?!?!?!" and then you could say you got skarlet for free....

The first is a throw second is a fatality. He doesn't have three. each character has two fatalities, a stage fatality and babality.

The opinion that Freddy negates the first three has the same value as one that dislikes him but is still happy with everything else. They're two equal opinions, because opinions are just that. I get what you're saying just fine, and I'm saying that it's useless to try to argue with those people. You aren't going to change their minds and they won't change yours. But please, continue exercising futility, I'll sit here and watch because I need something to do over the next 90 minutes while I'm waiting for my girlfriend to get here.

I hold the latter view. I'd rather they not have picked him and I'm upset that WB is again after all yo moniez, but whatever. I'm still loving Rain and Skarlet just fine and it proves that they had Freddy planned all along, because if they were going to use a MK character for the 4th slot, then what's the point of doing the season pass at all? Milk your original ideas for all they're worth... I'll gladly buy them.

Everyone should be able to come in, say their piece, and get out without feeling like someone pissed in their cereal for having an opinion that they don't agree with. But this is the internet, where everyone has to be a tough guy. *sigh*
