Even though I HATE guest characters, and hate buying pieces of an unfinished game it doesn't bother me since I stopped playing MK, and I love Freddy Krueger.

Everyone who's bashing Ed Boon for this, it's not his fucking fault. Blame Warner Bros.

Though I know someone who is definetly part of the blame for this.

Seriously, I was hoping for Daegon, Shinnok, Tanya, or Frost. As much as I like Freddy Kruger, I just don't think he should be DLC for Mortal Kombat.

I'm surprised Freddy Krueger still has a loyal following. The guy hasn't been relevant for a while now....

I'm all for guest characters but why not someone who, I dunno, doesn't suck as much or is still relatively interesting?

Maybe I sound ungrateful, so let me clarify: I want my money back for the DLC character that I've already purchased but don't want. That's all. Everything else with this game is top notch and I couldn't be happier with it, though if I wasn't, if something bothered me, I'd like to think that I could come on to this message board and vent, just as MANY others have done, without someone like you coming along and cussing me out.

But you're acting like the NRS team just bent you over a station wagon in a dark parking lot and raped you of all of your hard earned money, which they clearly didn't. But you act like this is some kind of terrible injustice. You're losing perspective on what you paid for, which was 3 confirmed MK characters, several classic new skins (despite those being free, something they could've charged. Hell Capcom has no problem with that) and a mystery 4th character.

You aren't happy with Freddy, fine. I get it. I told you your stance on not being happy with him is understandable, even if I still think it's retarded. But you're making it sound like the development team just screwed you out of 15 bucks, or that you didn't get your money's worth.

I'm not calling you an ungrateful MK fan, I'm calling you an ungrateful customer and yes, that gif was necessary in this case.


Alright, I'll put a stop to this now, since you're CLEARLY misreading me here.

I know it's on my head. I even said that I was the one that was dumb enough to buy the season pass before finding out who the 4th character was. I never said otherwise.

So no, I don't feel like I was raped or bent over or screwed out of my money or any other melodramatic image you can conjure up for what basically amounts to me being unhappy with ONE thing (just one!!) that they've done with this game.

I am VERY satisfied with this game. I don't know why I have to keep emphasizing that fact just so I can say one negative thing about it.

To be clear, I'm not complaining about you not liking the decision for them to include Freddy in the game.

Aside from wanting an MK character myself this is a welcomed surprise. I have some nitpicks about the double claws and his appearance but other than that I will probably get him. Will be at a later date with Rain & if others come out in September...because I am using my last 15 smackers in wallet for the Black Ops maps & next month instead of getting wallet money I am upgrading my PC a bit.
So to NRS if you read this and sales matter for more DLC....count me in but you have to wait for it.

I complain about people feeling like they didn't get their money's worth with the season pass, not about Freddy.

I also complain about shit character design. I believe I have a right to do so.

I complain about characters like Dairou, Kai, Darrius, Ashrah, Blaze, Onaga,Moloch, and Hotaru because they are shit to begin with. Whether that's in the form of design, powers, story, fatalities, or anything else that goes into an MK character.

And I find it almost ironic that the guest characters have been treated with more respect and care than half the fucking cast of Armageddon. That's what I complain about.

If you can't seem to grasp that, that's really not my problem.


I grasp it just fine, actually. I don't see why anyone here is complaining about the opinions of others. I find it a little ridiculous that you or anyone else in this thread would come at anybody for openly disliking something for whatever reason, only to turn around and bitch about existing material or otherwise. Everyone is entitled to a viewpoint on this matter, so it's utterly senseless to debate whose opinions are correct. It's Kratos all over again here.

I happen to like Kai, but to each his own. Plenty of people hate anything post MKT and that's fine by me. I for one hope that they find a way to re-work all of the existing fighters somehow, but if not, then they're best left out.

Guest characters being treated like VIPs is WB's doing, not NRS. WB shelled out the coin for the usage rights, so they're making damn sure that NRS squanders any opportunity to improve the existing cast in the name of making Kratos not react to fatalities.

It's sweet of you guys defending Ed Boon, but his word is the final. And he allowed this to happen. Hence my disappointment.

Luckily, Freddy Krueger is DLC, so I can choose not to buy him.

I can't remember what movie she's from. April Fool's Day? Or maybe it was a slasher film set at a camp. Sleepy somethin? I seriously can't remember.
