I'm going with UMK3 Sub-zero and Scorpion. Mainly because they're popular enough to get the people who don't want Krueger to buy the compatibility pack at least.

It's funny.People got a game packed with an incredible amount of content.Yet whine,moan,cuss,fuss,etc etc...because a guest character that is optional for them to buy has made it in the game.

I for one am pretty excited about Freddy being in.I grew up on MK,very much an old schooler of the franchise.I consider myself a hardcore player/fan,even throughout the trash games made.I am also a very big horror fan.This works well for myself as i'm sure as it does others.

The people here I see saying idiotic things like "bler blah who bee dee blah...not going to *&*&((*& buy this crap even though I got it free with the pass".You will download it and try it at the very least.

I really don't know if this board in this day and age is filled with 11 year olds,who do not know how to respond accordingly.If you don't like it...then your opinion is accepted.BUT....when it's a bunch of thrashing and put as it's your way or no way.No one really cares or takes your opinions with anything outside a grain of salt.

I've said my piece and still love to come look at these boards after all these years.I approve of Freddy.That's my opinion and like.He looks fun to play as i'm sure he will be.

After taking a moment to think about this:

I want my money back.

I bought the summer DLC pack with the idea that I would be getting four MK characters. Not three MK characters and a film villain that hasn't been relevant for 10 years (sorry Freddy fans).

Just my opinion, but he looks weak, his moves look awful, his fatalities are a joke and I couldn't have any less interest in this character if I tried.

I know that there are people that like this, and that's fine. Really, to each his own. But for me, I just don't want this in an MK game and now I have it because I was dumb enough to have paid for something before seeing it.

I really hope that he's not the last DLC character we'll see for this game, because wow, way to end with a great gaming experience and great DLC etc with a thud.

Here's hoping we get more DLC characters that are MK related.

I'm calling it now. He'll gut open a teddy bear.

Im sorry im a bit dissapointed, I could complain and B*tch all i want, but i wont. Its not gonna stop him from being in the game, he's in the game and I'm glad for all the people who are excited for him.

Again he's DLC, if you dont like it dont buy him! We got 3 GREAT MK related characters before him, and possibly maybe even more in the future.

he does look pretty badass. Two small complaints though...those words and I hope he is more brutal in game then he looked in the trailer cause if I am gonna play with Freddy in an MK game...I want brutality galore!!.

They couldn't just use an MK character? They decided to bring in another guest character? One, in Kratos, was enough. The gameplay trailer makes him look fun, but I'm not thrilled with the design. Will probably pass on this, just wish they could've brought in an MK character to improve on, but oh well.

Here's the thing though......, you DIDN'T pay for him. You want your money back so you can go spend it on Kenshi, Rain, and Skarlet? Oh, wait............

I can't believe NRS didn't consult me before doing this. I can't believe they think they can get away with catering to the casual audience when I, and the 30 other people who frequent this site keep the lights on at Netherrealm studios.

How dare they sully this fine game, built upon a solid foundation of pajama clad ninjas ripping out spines, and lighting their opponents on fire. Why bring in an outside character whose franchise is known for over the top gore and a campy sense of humor? It's like drawing a mustache on the Mona Lisa.

You were never promised four MK characters. It was fairly evident that people buying the season pass knew they were getting a Mystery Character, who for some reason, people somehow thought would be MK related.

It honestly had "Guest Character" written all over it. And it's free? I've already paid 15 for the three MK characters I've so graciously been given, and I have the option of giving five more out.

Sorry NRS, not buying Freddy. In my opinion he belongs in 80s horror films, not this game.

I bought Rain even though I hate his character because I support MK and MK characters and love for the most part what has been done with this game.

But I just can't support getting Krueger.

I think I'll download the compatability pack just so I can stomp Freddy's all over the living forest with my Kenshi.

I'll get him,would have preferred the Englund version,but if he wants to avoid the character then i have no problem with the new one. That said I am now upset at the people who brought up Ash from Evil Dead he would have been awesome.

Freddy does look great and his gameplay is exciting. I just wish they would have waited until around October for Freddy/Jason release and unlock all the zombie costumes for every character. It would have fit so perfectly. His fatalities look impressive and I want "NEW" ones for the original characters.

I still can't believe it... and I'm not sure if that's positive or negative yet...

You got 3 MK characters, fan favorites for 2 of them, plus 6 free costumes and all of a sudden you aren't satisfied?
