Its like the Joker without Mark Hamil. MK Vs DCU proved it could be done as long as the presentation is solid.

to any Freddy canon fan - i've got a question: what type of elevator does Freddy use to go underground during his first fatality? and also to everyone else: isn't Scorpion is supposed to enjoy being thrown into fire in his second fatality

You know, just like Kratos, if the NRS team had come up with Freddy themselves, nobody would bat an eye, cause he's a great concept for an M-rated game.

And Scorpion 'liking' fire. Now you're just purposely being an asshole. Cause Scorpion clearly likes fire when he's hit with fireballs, hit with Sektor flamethrower, or the Kratos stage fatality?

He so enjoys it. Whenever Sektor hits him with his flamethrower, Scorpion rubs his armpit and sings, "Singing in the bathtuuuuuuub!~"

I totally agree. im not particulalry happy with the 4th DLC character, but why whine about it? Hes there, hes in oh well thats life and thats how it goes. Im not gonna abandon MK over 1 DLC again DLC character. Hes NOT in the main game so he wont affect it at all. Its a game, a game thats trying to appeal hardcore and casual gamers. Like i said im not particularly happy, but oh well, accpet and move on!

Just some food for thought. People are being way too harsh about this..I don't want Freddy, but to disrespect NRS is just over the line at this point.
This is the best MK yet and at least we can say we got Skarlet, Kenshi and Rain, a homage to MK fans with two beloved characters and a fan rumor character.

If you're abandoning NRS over this, well that's a joke frankly, you don't have to like Freddy, be mature and sensible and don't curse out NRS.


There's no reason for it, don't buy him, that's what I'm going to do, vote with my wallet.

I'm complaining, but you can do so respectfully and despite my initial annoyance, I can simply ignore him and move on to enjoying the other 30 glorious MK characters this game has given us.

Cheers to the people who like Freddy, enjoy him, I'm not going to hate and to the people who don't want him neither do I and at least we have a choice unlike with Kratos, we can ignore him.

I think most of us who are upset about Kruger just need to get over the initial shock of it all. I don't wanna come off as if I'm not satisfied with what they've done with the game. I really like MK9 and I play it just about everyday or when ever I have the free time. I like what they did with the compatibility packs and I like that they DO actually listen to the fans. I'm grateful for what they've been doing and for the most part, I proud of the NRS team.
It's just that me including of a lot of other people were expecting and wanting an MK character. I never once got my hopes up for who the character was going to be, I just wasn't expecting a guest character and that's what pinched a nerve in me.
It kind of reminded me of what they did with the Challenge Tower prize. No offense to any Mileena fans out there, but not everyone uses her or even likes her as a character. 300 challenges to unlock a costume for a character I wasn't even going to used seemed pretty pointless and I almost didn't even tolerate with it. I did complete the Challenge Tower but completely ignored the 300th because it wasn't worth the frustration when I already knew what I was going to get out of it for winning.Anyway, I'm kind of over it now. I'm sure that we'll get more characters in the future and possibly even more content added to the game. With that said, I'm going to pass on Kruger. Even if he is free, he's not a character I'm interested in or a character I'm willing to play as.

I think the one thing that annoys me more than the people who whine about the character are the people that try to defend it. It's called "criticism" people, learn to live with it. Without it, Mortal Kombat would probably have Bugz Bunny and Daffy Duck as guest characters.
