Apparently I'm the only person that hated her costume in MKD. The only costume I've seen in MK2011 I don't like is Reptiles... Also I think they're going for a modernized yet retro look.

I remember when I first saw Mileena in that E3 trailer, her costume reminded me of her MKD alternate and I was surprised that they chose to bring back that one over her MKD primary. I mean, the MKD primary one can still make it as her alternate or DLC, but still, I was just surprised with their choice.

Anyway, I find her costume average. Definitely better than Reptile or Cage, but no where near as good as Sektor, Kung Lao or Ermac (if that leaked picture really is MK2011 Ermac's look).

I said this a few times already, but yeah, I just don't like the yellow eyes. Not at all. And to me, they're overdoing that slutty aspect, it's now come to a point where she's become boring, even annoying. Also, the purple effect surrounding her while performing special moves is unnecessary. As if some shit is evaporating from her body... Pheromones maybe? lol

It will be interesting to see what's gonna happen with her story-wise. Is she gonna get killed again? Resurrected again?

I'm definitely hoping we'll see some characters die (I mean, this game is brutal, people need to die), so I wouldn't mind if history repeats in Mileena's case. However, I hope they keep resurrections to a minimum (why worry about dying if you're gonna get resurrected anyway, right?).

I've always hated the veil. So glad they went with a mask again.

I think her new look is a mix between her two deception looks, with her alternate being the more dominant one. They've taken the best part of her MKD primary (The top part) and combined it with her sexy alternate which gave her the "slutty trademark" to begin with (sexy mileena).

The only thing I'd critique with her costume is her hair. I've always wanted Mileena to have longer-mid length hair. As for her costume being outragously slutty, nahhh. It's a video game!!

i also agree that her MKD costume was better than this one, however, i prefer the MK9 mask to the veil. a previous poster said it before me, but the veil doesn't hide her teeth well enough.

there is something about how there is this rectangular portion of her torso that is completely open from her neck done to just above her hoo-hah that makes the outfit look super weird... i had this problem with her MKD alt too.

i will disagree with the OP about Kitana though. i think her outift and hair [artwork wise] is awesome.

I never liked the fact that her MK:D outfit went against gravity. Unless she had nipple rings that she pinned to the shirt, her boobs should have fallen right out of that top. I like her new design. She's a whore and it says it while still being a bit more realistic.

I think people tend to forget that MK 2011 is a look back in the past and therefore Mileena's outfit should be reminiscent of that time with elements of all her appearances. That is why I think Kitana's outfit isn't fitting of her role at that point of the timeline. She looks too much like her princess-era than her assassin-era where as Mileena's look is perfect for her of that time period.

The sleeves, the veil, the long cloth hanging from her back - those elements fit Mileena better post-MK4 where she is serving Onaga rather than Shao Kahn. Kitana wears the same outfit in blue which might mean that it was some kind of uniform Onaga provided for them. It wouldn't make sense if Mileena's outfit in the upcoming MK looks like her MKD one. Just like it doesn't make sense that Kitana dresses like she does this time around.

That said, I do like Mileena's MKD outfit. I just think her new outfit fits her better this time around.

Kitana's new costume fits her perfectly, it would have fit her in all of the games. She would have had this costume sooner if she hadnt been cut from MKD. I see if perfectly fitting of Kitana to have a more princess-esque costume. Even taking the whole back in time storyline thing, Kitana was not just an assassin, she was still Shao Khan's daughter, she was held to a much higher regard than any of Shao Khan's warriors and assassins. When she wasnt training or out assassinating someone, she was probably wearing a costume like this.

Assassin by day...belly-dancer slave girl by night. I'm sure Kahn held her very high regard.

Technically, you have it backwards queve. She goes from her assassin look in MK9 to a more regal costume we see in Mortal Kombat Deception. If you want to go chronologically, she didn't try to usurp Kitana and take her place until much later on.

I hardly doubt u wont play as her just because of her costume when this finally arrives, especially when ur in tag mode and 7 other ppl are in the room watchin the game. Especially if ur on a clan team, i don't know if yall know it but, after dlc each char will have more then 2 costumes as well as fatalities( i keep hearing ppl complain about fatalities & costumes . They said this will be like a tournament game as well as will be in tournments so i highly doubt u will really care about a damn costume, ( you'll be havin too much fun to really care about shit like someones costume.
Reptiles my favorite as well as my favorite color is Green, when i 1st saw his look, yes i was disappointed , but as i watched his gameplay especially since the new kombos were added after PAX, i liked him, and after lookin at the detail of his looks during fatality time, he looks alsome. ERMAC looks alsome , he dont need the exact mk3 ninja costume, mayb they can giv him a new ninja alt costume, they are steering

away from palette swap copy cats( THANK GOSH), that new mk suit upgraded from mkd for ERMAC looks unique from the palette swap oldies.
But just for the nostalgic feel, i agree that every1 should hav ALL their old costumes they ever had in a mk game, even mksm for dlc, if a char wasnt in a mk i think they should make a suit they probably would of had in that game rather its mk, mk2 3 umk3, subzero, mkt, mk4,mk4 gold,mkspecial forces, mkda, mkd, mksm, mka, mk vs dc, etc...... since its now a 2d plane tons of things can be added, plus its dlc- DO U KNOW HOW MUCH STUFF BLUERAY CAN HOLD plus they hav time 2 do it after the game releases.
Since their new system is tweakable they can go in & fix broken chars, moves, everything basically, also they can even change the gameplay if they wanted

i don't think i've heard of a PS3 game that completely filled up a Blu-Ray disc... so i doubt every costume from the past will be implemented.

its probably just a couple of new costumes with a nostalgic feel if anything...

Metal Gear Solid 4 filled up a full Blu ray disk. But that's because Kojima and co. don't know how to compress things.

I like Mileena's get up a lot better in MK9. I don't get the hype over her MK:D outfit. I mean, it looked nice... but definitely didn't blow me away or compliment her personality. I hated the veil on it too.

I don't really like her old costume. New one is way better. Not because more skin= sexy (it doesn't). It's just more aesthetically pleasing. New character model is way better too. Old veil looked a bit cowboys and indians. New one looks sleek and ninja.

This is the best Mileena has ever looked, I love how she wears revealing clothes. I mean how would you feel if you had an ugly mouth and a HOT body hell i would wear less then shes wearing now!!, Its a great distraction for her opponent. She is the best character i have seen so far, her move set is perfect. I cant wait for Sindel to be revealed...hopefully.

How can you wear less than she's wearing now without being naked?

To be honest, I see it as a lack of creativity. There's no reason for her to be that nude.... Other than for turning on a bunch of guys.
