Anyway, initially when I saw how Mileena looked in this game I was a bit...ehh about it but it has grown on me, the same with Kitana's costume. I liked her Deception primary, but I like this one okay now too, it might be "slutty" or whatever, but it fits her nicely as a character I think. Either costume for Mileena is fine by me, I liked her Mortal Kombat Gold costume quite a bit too.

Don't get me wrong i do love her MKD costume, but her mouth and face just looked terrible in MKD

I dislike the "slut" look that both Kitana and Mileena both have in this new MK game. Graphic wise they look amazing , but I prefer older looks in terms of design. They show too much skin to be taken seriously in this game, more so people that have known the characters for years. All their other costumes up to this game,have been somewhat sexy, at the same time had that assassin look to them.

I hope other females in this game don't share the same fate. Btw I wasn't a huge fan of Mileena MK D look either, nor her alt. The MK team could have done better at balancing the "sexy" aspect of female characters with showing skin, and some good original designs that reflect their profession. Kitana and Mileena DO NOT look like assassins in this game, nor have a hint of their assassin skills. They both look like strippers. MK(2010) 's females so far are turning up looking just as silly DOA girls.

I really like both Mileena and Kitana's new costumes, except Kitana should have a front and back loin cloth and it should be much longer, and she should not have the criss cross threads on her bust. Mileena's costume would be much better if her back was covered, like if the gap between the top of her back and the thong was covered, it would look awesome, still revealing and sexy, but much more reminiscent of the old costumes. I did it on paint, but I dont know how to add it on here, so if someone could do that it would be cool.

When I first saw Mileena's new costume I thought "Woah she nekkid!" I didn't hate it though. I think her costume fits her personality more than Kitana's. Kitana's royal looking costume has grown a lot on me though. I just hope that if Sindel makes it in the game that she won't look like a raging slut. And as long as Sonya is wearing pants ill be happy. I'm hoping Jade's costume will combine her looks in MKSM and her alt MKD outfit.

Anyway, from all of what I've read there are a few things I'd like to say:

1) I'm still very surprised that there are more than 2 comments in a row that state they disliked or hated Mileena's MKD Veil. OMG. Shame. on. you. (j/k).

2) I don't think wearing less makes Mileena "less serious" or "a slut". I personally disagree with such strong words because I just don't see how Mileena (or Kitana and the rest of the Edenian gals) should be called whores. They are all deadly and cool-looking. That doesn't make them whores.

However, I definitely agree that its not fitting for some of them. Dressing like this is something that I can see Mileena, Nitara, Sheeva, and maybe even Kira+Jade pulling off. Definitely not Sindel, Sonya, Kitana, Ashrah, etc.

I just don't understand why we need to scream "whore!" or "slut!" because of an outfit.

3) I most definitely agree with those users who said that, while this design is nice and all, it definitely lacks the creativity and potential of what any character could deliver.

I guess this is the kind of costume that's just there to make a point. Period.

That's why I'm very very excited and hopefully about her alternate. Its gotta be epic. I'm hoping it resembles her MKD primary style more than anything (big sleeves and veil included).

She'd be perfect with a corset like garment and a long backskirt, but mayb that' would suit Kitana more.

Less skin and more leather I think is needed. She looks silly imo, especially with that pose. Her freak effect is diminished with this Vogue lack of style.

I don't understand how her outfit design is lack of creativity. It is obviously spawning from her MKD alternate outfit which in turn was spawned from the original leotard outfit from her earlier appearances, albeit more revealing. Her alternate outfit in MKD was the most revealing outfit in Mortal Kombat's history and it was a beacon for Mileena's personality which finally started to prosper and become something more than just "the evil clone". She was showing that having a sexuality and using it as means to an end is something that some assassins make use of rather than just being the typical shadow ninja assassin type which MK already has an overflood of. I like to believe that Mileena was definately using her skills as a temptress to convince Baraka to meet her in the Beetle's Lair, but because he knows Mileena all too well, he sent a decoy.

It is not lack of creativity that has spawned this outfit. But indeed it was to prove a point. In a game like Mortal Kombat things are exaggerated to show certain aspects of a character, because unlike RPG's, the fighting game genre is short on ways to show the personalities of the characters. Mortal Kombat has always been rich on lore, but it has mostly been told only through text-based means, such as background stories and character bios. The visual aspect of the game is also the very game itself - the fighting! And to show a character's background through the fighting is not an easy task. Actually, in the past, many characters in fighting games looked rather dull and you couldn't really tell how a character was like or his/her background by looking at the character fighting.

That is what Netherrealm Studios clearly attempt to make up for, having a past with palette swapped characters that didn't tell much of a story visually. The creative designs of the MK characters this time around proves that they can indeed tell a character's story and show his/her personality through the very visuals of the fighting aspect of a game to mirror the text-based information we get from background stories, endings and character bios. And personally, I think they did exactly that with Mileena. The way she dresses, the way she moves and behaves while fighting, it really shows how she is as a character, because it is indeed exaggerated. They try to prove a point. And they did well in my opinion.

I think its pefect, its sexy and light and suites her very well. How can anyone hate on it, man, Id even be fine if her tits were showing.

And the MK:D costume would make a perfect alternate, especially for those who dont like her primary.

Gonna have to attribute that to you being unable to recognize them. Them being more comprehensive than you, and all.

I must say, even though I'm gay, Mileena is HOT. <3 Also, on Kitana, I'm not really liking her look in the game. I love her unmasked look from Deadly Alliance and even from MK vs DC. I don't like the straight bangs look.
