A corset would had been wonderful for Kitana and it would be glorious for Sindel.
I can't believe I haven't really put that much thought into the crazy and original possibilities that a corset can deliver for a truly amazing design.
Sindel, Mileena, Jade, and Kitana can all benefit from a corset, but, I would much rather see it on Sindel and/or Mileena.
And of course, they would look much better than all of those but those pictures are just to give a basic idea of the awesome possibilities of a well done MK-style corset.

And personally, I think they did exactly that with Mileena. I really do understand your views and I can agree with most of what you said.
However, I'd just like to point out that the reason many people think this new costume is uncreative is because so much more could had been done to it.
They could had still proved their point regarding Mileena with a design that features more than just lines and straps covering her almost revealed body. This is definitely not an ugly or bad design, it's just seriously lacking originality.
I feel that most people here expect something more original and detailed for Mileena considering the acclaim she got thanks to her MKD costume. Take a look back at MKD: That costume definitely proves a point. It makes Mileena's point quite clear while retaining a superb attention to originality and uniqueness.

Queve those are the outfits Mileena and Kitana should have had. Not the current outfits, which show too much skin. Kitana and Mileena look to out of character.The top one is my favorite type of outfit .I wish Kitana and Mileena could have had.

The more I look at Mileena's current outfit, the more it reminds me of a design concept I drew of her MK:D alternate outfit years ago. At the time I thought it was a bit trashy and needed a bit of a make over so I incorporated some fishnet gloves and a bit more covered up skin so her outfit was more reminiscent of her MK2 look. You can tell I was 15 at the time with how bad the proportion was! lol
I'd love to see a look like this come in where the outfit has a sexy look to it, some attitude, and it stands out, without completely exposing the girls wearing them. Sex appeal isn't how much flesh you can show off, Mileena just seems like a bit of a tart with straps of fabric covering her up, it doesn't flatter her at all in my opinion.

But based on the official website, she uses her looks to attract victims. I guess we could call her a black widow instead. I think Kitana's look in MKSM slightly gave you the impression of a corset (not really, but there was just a lil something about the way it fitted her body that makes you kind of wonder), and maybe that's why it's my favorite look for her (the render, of course).

That is a very nice drawing! You have talent.
I don't think Mileena seems like "a tart". Actually, I just generally disagree with people referring to the females as "sluts" or "whores" because of the way they dress. I don't think it's fair or that there should be a problem with their costumes if they show too much skin.
However, I will agree that it definitely doesn't fit some of them and it makes them look cheap/plain/ordinary.

I thought her bangs in MK vs DC were to the side, not straight down.
they are off to the side on MK vs. DC... are they not in MK9? judging by the picture in my sig,.. they look pretty off to the side to me.
The bangs are definitely different. They look very ugly and bushy in MKvsDC, she looks much better now.
Strangely though, she looks better in her MKvsDC VS picture than the current new model. IMO.

I've changed the look now, however, I might have a bunch of Jade drawings coming soon. I just need to scan them in and clean them up... I'm just being a bit lazy lately. XD
