Injustice should look better than MK2011. It tells us that NRS is further improving, and that MK10's graphics will be even better.

MK2011 is fine, man. Enjoy the awesomeness.

But seriously, MK9 is fine the way it is now. If it makes you feel any better, I think MK10 will have a darker atmosphere, judging by the inevitable invasion from the Netherrealm, with the deceased Earthrealm heroes on their side.

I kinda agree, GAU's arenas do really look darker and more detailed, but it ain't just the progress of NRS's workbut also the fact that MK9 is to cover the stories of MK3 (least dark of the original three) and the fact that some of the new designers just didn't know how to go with it. Call me a net/Crazy or whatever, but MKDA-MKA had darker arenas than MK9's and what those games had that this one didn't was having their arenas directed by Tony Goskie and Mike Taran. MK9's arenas director wasn't really the best, but the result is decent.

But yeah I hope they go with MK4/MKDA-MKD direction. They need dark colors and please, lower down the anime influence, it almost ruined MK9.

All I'm saying is that we had to bend for lighter violence in MKDC and the reason is DC.Now they making DC as violent as they can and even darker than the actual prequel of all dark games + using the same engine.At the same time MK9 goes the road of MK DC and look cartoon network!

Okay, slow down. I can barely understand every other word. Anyway, MK9 was fine. Call me when injustice one ups X-rays and fatalities and maybe then we can call it darker. MK has always had a good balance between dark and cartoony, it's versatile, it's good. GAU is dark, yeah, but it's just dark for the sake of being dark. It's nothing special.

You want to know a perfect example of how one video game looks ten times better than the previous? Tomb Raider. Every new game they made, they improved with better graphics, designing, and plotting.

Injustice is going to look better than MK2011 because of the progress that Netherrealm Studios are undergoing. Every video game company goes through with it. I hardly see anything so dark with Injustice. Just because they're taking a much more serious tone with it, doesn't mean that the game is going to be darker than Mortal Kombat.

Hate to say this, but there's been other games out there that are much darker than Mortal Kombat. For a series that been in the industry for almost twenty years, it was bound to happen.

Oh, and I saw nothing wrong with Diablo 3, so I have no idea what's "gayes" about it.

Surely to god Asesino you were raised with a much more diverse range of vocabulary than to constantly resort to using the word "gay" as a means of insult. How old are you, twelve?

Personally I think MK9 delivered in terms of being dark and atmospheric. The Deadpool genuinely seemed like a rotten, horrible place to die. Kahn's arena was much more improved and atmospheric than we seen in Armageddon, likewise the Living Forest, Wastelands, and the Pit all got spine-chillingly dark and Gothic remakes. The only levels I can recall being sunny or bright were levels which occurred during the day. Shocking, I know.

They are two completely different games. If anything, Injustice reminds me more of MvC3 than Mortal Kombat.

And even with those levels, there were still some chilling factors that went along with it. Such as the rooftops during the day and sunset times. Having people getting killed by dragons flying around. The city, where cars were crashing into random things... Pretty messed up.



Well, despite Asesino's lack of maturity when it comes to showing how much we dislike something we need to call it "gay," it appears that if anything appears to be much darker than Mortal Kombat that's not Mature rated, it's going to be questioned. Which sadly, I actually see why this thread exists in the first place.

Problem with Asesino is that he lacks the knowledge that the comics are way much gruesome with their characters. There is death, violent images, gore, and a much darker image. The problem with them combining in video games, they don't want to take it up a notch seeing our beloved heroes get decapitated or sliced into pieces.

Remember, children apparently read comics still, and we must do something for the children. There's nothing wrong in having a fighting game that doesn't show dismemberment. I mean, look at Street Fighter, Tekken Soul Calibur, Dead or Alive... Hmm?

I can't wait to see more of Injustice and more of Netherrealm Studios improved graphics.

First Off MK(2011) has a overall slightly worse graphics than GAU, it's true, but arenas-wise MK9 is waaaaaay better than GAU.
In the Metropolis stage (or whatever it is named) you can see a car smashed by Solomon Grundy, then you have the same and redundant level transition and when you came back tot he "first floor" the car above mentioned is again intact. A true miracle.

Take a closer look to the "Rooftop" in MK9: you can see helicopters and dragons fighting in the air, machineguns shooting bursts of bullets while you're fighting.
Or, even better, take a closer look to the Deadpool. Prisoners Hanged and desperate while they try to escape, their bodies slowly melted down by the acid, the guards in the background that are watching, the leader of the guards that moves the engine to dip the prisoners in the acid.
The Armory...the Smith working on his swords, the MK logo that slowly cools down from the boiler...

In other words, MK9 has the best arenas in this generation of consoles.
Detailed and very, very pleasant to watch.

MK9 looks just as good as Injustice.

The Green Lantern is the only gay superhero I know of and he probably won't be gay in Injustice because he'll probably be Hal Jordan and not the new green lantern who is gay.
