Anyways,I think these arena destructions,NRS will HUGELY implement them in MK10,because supposedly,it is about Shinnok's invasion of the Heavens and all realms,so,only by the sizes,it should be much bigger than Shao Kahn's,so I expect epic battles on big scales,and those interactive arenas will give us experience of it.

Imagine an arena where you are on some plateau with clouds on the same level (supposedly Heaven), and the skies turning dark with the time as Shinnok and army of Demons come out of these clouds,and the background is falling to shit due to the clash of Shinnok's Hell forces with Elder Gods' armies,that shit could look more epic than God of War 3 backgrounds if done nicely.

Anyway here's an idea: put enhanced video options in the next game, so we can darken the graphics manually.I played Dark Space 2 yesterday for an hour and I really liked it.That's the kind of dark I like to see in MK and that's the kind of dark saw back in the days in MK 1 and 2.Bring that back!

Blizzard and Nether Realm Studios have nothing in common bar the fact that both of their most popular franchises are set in a magical universe. That's kinda like comparing Ice Cream and Sand, they might be part and parcel with going to the beach but they're nothing alike. There's been a drop of information about Injustice and we still don't even know half of the roster. Your rant was laughable and based on nothing.

In regards to making things darker, there's settings to do so already in MK. You can adjust the ambience and brightness on the options menu.

Speaking of the main topic again, I have come across people who complained about the game being less colorful than the last MK. While I believe you can't please everyone, I think this is a step to the right direction. The models look as good as MKDC which had better models than MK9 in my opinion.

So it is basically, MK9's 60 FPS + MKDC's models quality(save for the hair).

This is not the forum to debate other topics. Posts beyond this point need to be about Mortal Kombat. This goes both ways, for those who need to find better adjectives to describe things they dislike.

I knew there was something I didn't really like about the look of Injustice and there it is... It isn't all that vibrant as you would expect it to be.

Thats it really. Colour in games isn't a bad thing. I mean take Gears 2. Such a brown and grey looking game. Great graphics but still not memorable.

Gears 3 added a rainbow pratically and its probably my favourite Unreal Engine game in terms of graphics because of it.

MK9 looks great. Injustice looks great but it does look a bit dull to me in terms of graphics.

Um... that is totally NOT what psychological horror is. Psychological horror is about playing with the main character's fears and emotions to build up tension. An example is Clock Tower. THAT'S what psychological horror is. Mortal Kombat has nothing that resembles toying with your character's emotions and fear.

Have you taken a close look at them? I never really noticed a difference when MK9 first came out, but going back to MKvsDCU, the textures are noticeably lower resolution. I'm not sure it's really fair to judge until we can see the Injustice model viewer, anyway. If it's even included.

Also GAU has epic level/stage interaction.I don't want it exactly like this for MK, but I still want to interact with the level.MK 9 has none, except the pit fatalities.I thought this game is a compliment to the first three and in UMK3 we had stage transitions.Why don't they bring em back ?

You have to realize that the current systems can't do what 16-bit systems can do. It's like how Shang Tsung can't morph into every character, just two-three because of loading times and such. It'd be a pain in the rear to have two completely structured levels somehow be combined together in one arena. That would be too much. And sure, the previous games had them... but they were for the previous systems that could probably have handled it. These systems can't handle almost EVERYTHING that the 16-bit could.

Not to mention, not everything needs to be brought back.
