I don't think it's a stupid post. Buuut I'm biased haha. She might as well be confirmed at this point. How many females are there? And she's clearly a fan favorite. I didn't even realize until I saw all the Jade posts on MK9 forums...but anyway JADE IS MY FAVORITE TOO! Personally, I want to see her take a darker route. Although I loved her MKD default, her alternate seemed a lot more deadly to me. I wouldn't mind at all if they rehashed that outfit with minor tweaks. Studded/bladed armbands would be awesome on her IMO and her hair can stay as is. If not the twin pigtails, maybe one long braid similar to her "Edenian noble" default. In the casting sheet she was leaked out as a villain, and I want to see her take on that darker/grimmer attitude. I also personally would like her alternate to be royal and noble-esque like in her MKD default. I personally think the alternate should also show her face. Copying Kitana's outfit would not be good for her IMO.

I agree with you 100% I love jade alt. costume in MKD SO SEXY and right 4 her i hope thats her outfit with tweet and changes like kitana hair. CANT WAIT to play her

Ehh....Kitana's hair would look funny on her. She doesn't really strike me as the type of character to have free-flowing hair. She seems very no nonsense to me. She's not really a princess so she can't afford the luxury to be at peace and "free" so to speak in the way that a princess can. She's a killer. Kitana is too but she has to put on that princess facade.

i think that its better if they didnt dress alike. let them show off their own personality

I prefer them to have similar outfits, as reference to older installments and uniform due to their situations in the storyline. However, I prefer them to have artistic deviations from one and other, much like Kitana and Mileena have now.

Oh yeah. Similar is fine. I just don't want them looking like spitting images of each other. They have enough character development and personality now that it shouldn't be too hard to assign them characters based on their clothing. The only one who hasn't really been fleshed out like she needs to be is Jade, but MK9 is the perfect opportunity.

Word. I'm really stoked to see the redesigns for the characters that have been needing it. If they amount of personality being displayed remains consistent, we should be in for a real treat when we see Jade.

Yea me too and her MKD outfit alternate with little more detail Jade is a "perfect" fighter as in looks and fighing wise lol I LOVE JADE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and Kitana

well am pretty Sure will have just a simple pony tail or pig tails like her MKD alt...

because Mileena has shortish hair, Kitana has crazy long hair....

So i think Jades will be something in the middle, and with Kitana and Mileena both having there hair down, I believe Jades will be tied up to make them not all look so alike.

I did like Jades MKD alt look, but With KItana taking like 90% of that costume maybe she willl have her primary costume, I think if they do something different, It wont be Jade

Good thread actually, Jade is an awesome character. Her revamp in Deception was excellent. Jade has always been one of my faves. For her look, she should get a bun or the two braided style of Deception with attire similar to that or her Deception primary with a similar hairstyle. I don't think she should look or dress exactly like Kitana.

Only as Alternate costume. Primary? Hell no.

NOt at all....in my opinion there should be original design in each character...... also the Old palette-swap is a thing of past......completely against it.....

All the characters are being designed soo good on this new MK, i want to see all the potential Jade could give.......but PLEASE NO PONY-TAILS...or Pig Tails or whatsoever.....too childish...and she is too sexy for that.

But people...what do you think...Should Jade have still the Staff she uses?? cause i was thinking, (in the case you want some similarities) that she could actually use some metal Boomerangs for fighting (like Kitana's fans)....but of course not with the same tricks/effects...; As she has those Boomerangs she throws, she could actually fight with it, even though I KNOW, its one of the things that makes JADE, being Jade....the Staff....but i guess they should find a way that it could fit on her costume....just like scorpion sword for example at his back......and not holding it on her hands...that looked always ugly to me....too basic...

Jade needs to have her own style and presence. The bun/pigtail look from Deception though? Yes please, great look for Jade.

I loved her primary outfit in MKD, it was so different and exotic looking! I have a feeling they'll stick with that sort of concept considering it suits her persona. Plenty of bangles, flowing green fabrics, and wild, wavy hair. It suits her sex appeal down to the ground!

Having said that, I loved her Shaolin Monks look, her UMK3 look AND her alternate in Deception. She'd look good in a potatoe sack! :P

Being the last assassin girl of the trio, Jade's outfit should have a few similarities with Kitana's and Mileena's outfits, however, still look unique from them. I would prefer if they went with a more stealthy assassin-like look for her this time around, making her main colour black but with green design on it like they did in MKSM. Also, to make her differ from the twin girls, Jade could wear black, skin-tight trousers like in her MK Annihilation outfit. It would still be sexy, yet practical and it would fit to the stealthy assassin theme. I would also love for her to have the long black gloves like the ones she have in MKSM and the thigh-high boots from MKD.

My favourite hairstyle for Jade was her MKD alternate one, the ox horns with the pigtails and the frizzy bangs. I would love to see her have that hairstyle in the upcoming MK. Or maybe give her long pigtails ala Cammy from Street Fighter, that could be awesome as well. However, I wouldn't mind if they just went with the bun like in UMK3 which they probably would to hone her UMK3 appearance.

I have many ideas in my head and I have made drawn many designs for Jade (sadly I don't have a scanner so I can show you).

As for her weapon, she should definately use her staff. It should appear like a simple staff with a purple glow which she can conjure on command. That would be her main weapon. Her secondary weapon would be her razor-rang which she should be her projectile move, however, she could use it for multiple purposes like Cyrax do with his bombs. She could swing it around in her combos to cut down the opponents and such.

They are suppose to look a like each other, so yes similar but different.

She should look more like Kitana than Mileena.

Perhaps her Shoalin Monks costume that is similar to Kitana's with the flowy train thing, also none of the female ninjas ahve had the hairstyle from MK3, which Jade had in Shaolin Monk.

After seeing the Razor Rang in Deception in her Hara Kiri, I've always felt like she should utilize it more! It looks sharp as fuck. I mean, the thing cuts her head off. I can see her having some really sick combos with that, tracking almost like Sektor's missles do in this new MK. Her staff should also be simple and glow purple. I missed that in MKD and MKA.

I like Jade a lot and hope she returns for this game. Considering the outfits we've seen for Mileena and Kitana I wouldn't mind Jade's being somewhat similar to theirs.
Hopefully it's something like her MKD alt which was perfect IMO. Also I'm glad to see so many people liking the pig tails she had because they were kind of awesome.

I'd like to see her use her staff like Kitana uses her fans as well. Mileena doesn't seem to use her sai much but it seems like almost every attack Kitana has incorporates her fans somehow so I'd like to see Jade a little more...weapony.

Her alternate in MKD basically made her my favorite character, supplanting Kitana's spot in my mind. The pigtail + bun hairstyle is seriously sexy on her. Hell, the entire alt. outfit just oozes pure sex. I didn't like her primary at all though. She needs the kunoichi look since she's supposed to be an assassin hiding in the darkness of the living forest and she needs a mask and non-flowing tight clothing. If they just do a revamp of her MKD alt or even leave it as is but with updated graphics I would be ecstatic.

Jade is not just an assassin, she is very close to the Edenian throne, she should have an outfit similar to Kitana's.

I think it would be pretty cool if Jade had a silimar costume to Kitana, after all... she even used the fans for a while lol

Absolutely NO pig tails. They make her look like a little girl. Her voice and attire in general including the hair make her look very juvenile in MKD and MKA. In MKT she was tough as nails and had a very no nonsense vibe about her.. with her kenetic staff and her inconvenient anti-projectile glow that took total advantage of your recovery frames from your projectile and she'd hit you with one of her devastating combos.

jade should be very serious. and the voice shouldn't be like MKD/MKA either because she even sounds juvenille.
