That's a good thing though, the more popular a character the more likely it is that they will appear in the future. Plus characters are more likeable now because they're actuallty getting the attention and creativity they deserve.

I was always a fan of Noob! I thought he was a cute character with a whack-ass storyline.

I've always loved noob. I love all the dark characters. And Noob has got to be one of the most darkest in the whole series. Also, ever since it was revealed in Deception that Noob is the original Sub-zero, he has been up there in the top 5 favourites.

Wow.... I think Noob Saibot is complete. After nearly 20 years he actually has a moveset that is truly his.

NRS did a brilliant job combining his Shadow Clone move with the "Noob-Smoke" concept. Honestly I loved the Noob-Smoke game play concept, just hated the story raping it put on Smoke. Plus this new system keeps Noob Saibot much more coherent then the constant special move swappage that Noob-Smoke was subjected too.

Most importantly this gives me higher hopes for Smoke. Even if he becomes a cyborg I can at least rest easy knowing he will get a better post-MK3 character development setup being Noob Saibot's moveset now covers where NRS was going with it in MKD. And Noob's plot will likely go a very different route, being he's now building off the Elder Sub-Zero story arc from the beginning.

The thing is, in the MK3 intro it says:
He enacts a plan which began 10,000 years ago. During this time Kahn had a Queen. Her name was Sindel and her young death was unexpected.

Thus said, though quite aged by our human standards, SIndel was young when she died and so was she when resurrected by the Outworld shadow priests, so her voice should reflect that of a woman around her... that's a good question. She could've been younger than Kitana is now, (let us not count the time she spent as a corpse, shall we?) but the team decided not to take that path as it would make mother look younger than daughter. Interestingly enough, they did sth similar to Deagon who 'outgrows' his older brother Taven;)

Holy shitballs(to quote a once funny Jim Carrey) this video is amazing. Awesome to see Noob Saibot back in all his glory. His costume is an awesome amalgamation of everything we'd seen before. His moves look absolutely BEAST(NRS post release balancing system should get a nice workout). The new backgrounds look stunning as usual. AGH...damn you April 19th, so close yet so very far.

Official confirmations for Smoke and Quan Chi would be much appreciated now...

I can't help but feel sorry for you fans who dislike the appearance of your favourite character in this game, and I don't mean that in a degrading or demeaning way.

Jade is my favourite character (if you haven't noticed already), and I absolutely love Jade's new looks. She looks simply amazing in my opinion... And then there are people like Vasculio who seems utterly disappointed with Noob Saibot who is his favourite character. Personally, I think Noob's new attire fits him perfectly, but to not be happy with the looks of your favourite character must be the suckiest thing ever. I really feel for you guys, I really do.

I hope you will come to accept and eventually enjoy the looks of your favourite characters, so you can enjoy him or her fully when playing the game. ^^

I just had an epiphany!

Just like other people in this thread, I've reacted with disgust over the vomit I saw in the video. But then it hit me. Remember how people would overreact about the blood in the first 2 Mortal Kombat games? Well, most (if not all) gamers are used to that by now. We've become so desensitized to all the violence in videogames nowadays, that MK has lost it's shock value.

But then they do this sick thing with the vomit, and it's got people (including me) looking at it with a disgusted look. It's brought the shock value back... in a way.

While I still prefer a vomit-free MK, I now understand why they did it. (Let's just hope they don't go overboard with it. )

Well said. The only characters I have not like so far are Reptile and Nightwolf. Nightwolf just hasn't changed since his first appearance, and Reptile...if I have to break down what's wrong with Reptile, this thread could easily double in size. So I'll leave it at that. Noob looks awesome. I like how they're kind of going back to the Grim Reaperish look while still keeping the ninja qualities in tact. Good stuff.

Personally when i saw some characters i was like that is the worst outfit and look i have ever seen i even said that about my fav Sindel but i guess its natural to not like anything thats dif from what your used to but now that i had a longer look at everyone i think this is the best anyone has ever looked, Im soo hope they decide to make this intro thing on all characters before the release :)

That's exactly why I love this look for Noob too. ^^

As for Nightwolf and Reptile... I've never really cared for Nightwolf. He's always looked bland and boring to me, and though I think his spirit conjuring powers are quite nice and fitting, he simply isn't a character I like to play as.

Reptile on the other hand seems to have some VERY awesome gameplay, but his looks definately aren't the best he's had. I loved his MK4 appearance, him having a human body and face sculpture, but with reptilian features such as scales, eyes, clawed fingers etc. My only real problem with Reptile's new look though is his hood. It looks out of place with the rest of his outfit...

Darn.......Was looking forward to maybe an announcement on MK HD Kollection. What a Noob...

and as for Reptile, yeah, the hood and the overall bird shape of his head is bothering me. The weird Spaghetti strap armor is also pretty horrible. I've never minded his reptilian features. His MK 4 costume and MKDA alt. is among his best looks to me. But this is just...agh.

Noob has never looked better, and I dare say he looks better than any other ninja we've seen in the game so far.

If they can make him look this good, this bodes well for Rain (when they release him on DLC)

Whatever you do you can never please everyone. There are enthusiasts and haters for every single character from the roster. I love reptiles new look but there is no point in arguing because everyone have different taste. Hopefully his alt will be more like you imagine him.

Haha, no. I hate Noob's new costume. NRS still don't know if they want him to be a Ninja or a Grim reaper or Darth Vader or some kind of S&M freak... Its all over the place with the hood and the metal mask and the silly leather vest...

I agree whole heartedly. I think it's cool that some people dig the look, but it's just rubbed me the wrong way for some reason.

Noob Saibot looks like a beast. I hope they can balance him. The look, the moves and the attitude are all great. The black, hooded Subzero look is very good. I really like the hood. The moves are insane. Noob looks like a great range fighter. The throw he did to Nightwolf is my favourite. The X-ray is pretty cool too. His attitude is perfectly evil.

Noob Saibot became one of my favourites storywise with the revalation in MKD. It looks like he may become a favourite in gameplay too.

I'm hoping their are different intro lines for characters when facing rivals.

I'm not really liking Jade's look now I've got a better look at it. I liked her MKD looks much more. Her staff looks great though.

The graveyard lost it's creepy feel here. I like the look of it but would have prefered something closer to the original. It looks crazy with the soulnado and dragon.
