If they make this one mandatory, then they might as well make the rest mandatory. Why just do this one and not the others? I know the patch is, but I don't think the compatibility packs will be.

U selfish bastards won't download a free pack to play against freddy online just cuz u don't like him. Now if somebody wants to pick him can't because u won't download it and it ruins it for other players

The skins are free, no need to buy. Same thing for Freddy. I love the Season Pass!

All the classic costumes came included with the DLC characers before. You only have to dload the comp pack, if you DONT want to get the characters.

If you buy Freddy, you get the costumes included regardless.

And if you're getting Freddy, I'm sorry but then you will have the "corrputing effects" of the compatibility pack instaled on your console so it doesn't matter if you also take the free pack or not, it will be instaled with Freddy (the only difference between the Freddy pack and the compability pack is the code portion that makes him playable or unplayable, but all the content is installed on your system).

the latest PS3 patch makes the compatibility packs mandatory so, unless you plan to never play online again, you're going to have to download it.

Xbox360 isn't mandatory though.

Not possible. You can't pick between them, it's all or nothing (all if online via PS3). However, it's up to you whether you have an access to Freddy or not. If you'll download the Compatibility Pack #4, you will see Freddy listed in the MK memory despite you can't use it (online opponents can). If you'll buy him or download via the Season Pass, you can play as Freddy Krueger. It's all that simple really.

I am skipping both. No FK, no compatibility pack. I don't want to see FK appear on my screen when playing MK, and I am not interested in the retro outfits.

And that's not me being sour. I'm not a horror film fan, nor was I ever a Freddy Krueger fan to begin with. I'm quite happy with the Mortal Kombat game I currently have and considering I main Kitana and Mileena, I'll have no need for the Sub-Zero outfits.

Pretty petty and pathetic not to get the compatability pack. You will cause matches to desynch even when they don't pick Freddy.

Excuse you, but why should that be someone else's problem? People are perfectly in their rights to not get the pack if they really don't want Freddy in their game. I'd say it's the Freddy player's problem for wanting to play with a shit character to begin with.

And before you get all mad at me, I will get the pack. But it's because I like both Sub-Zero costumes, not to accomodate Freddy fans.

Plenty of people didn't buy Rain, Kenshi, and Skarlet and it did NOT dysynch, I just couldn't play as any of them, but it didn't desynch..

well i downloaded the compatibility pack only (cause i didnt want FK) but after it downloaded i had FK in the select screen.

after trying him out, he is a good character to my surprise. the only thing is i wish he was an actual MK player
