Ah yeah, maybe. But it must have come at him evenly from all directions, like one of those new showers that spray water from above and from the walls lol.unseenwombat Wrote:

As for Kabal's face, it does look kinda scarred if you focus around the eyes. Hard to say for sure till we get a better pic.
It would be nice if he has his old long flowing hair from MKD/MKSM for his alt costume. That hair was so metal.

I'm not such a fan of the almost unnecessary amount of spikes he's got on him. Doesn't feel like it suits a "good guy", but he still looks vicious enough. Loving his hook swords, and I even like his "batter-up" fatality.

Can't remember if you read the spoilers or not, but there is kind of an explanation behind that. By no means a small spoiler, so everyone without total resolve should avoid highlighting.

Aww, I guess I'm not the only one who thought Kabal/Noob would be an epic team.
The maskless face looks just a little too "Generic Male Face #3" for me. I don't think that's gonna be his face unless it's just for the small portion of story mode where he isn't scarred.
Now, time to **cough** legitimately purchase **cough** photoshop and make a new sig!

Or maybe because of this biography of him from the third game:
Well, yes. We know he survived the extermination squads and they messed him up. The question though is what, exactly, did they do to him to give him the pattern of scars we see on his arms. They don't really look like the type of scars you get from burns, and if it's acid, then the acid must have been pretty uniformly splattered over the entire surface of his skin to make the scars so regular. unseenwombat Wrote:

Some spoilers based on the story mode leak, so be aware
Spoilers: (Highlight to reveal)
I believe it specifically states that Kabal is set on fire, and that's where the scars come from. Its not stated who does it though, so we'll have to wait and find out.

I'm pretty sure the game is going to go more into depth with what happened to him if there's a part where he's unmasked and unscarred in the story.
His cuts seems similar to the cuts in this intro
Gross
Though I'm sure we'll either see/hear how got these scars. If not, well... Oh well.

Well I don't know nothin' about real world burn scars, but Freddy Krueger's skin looks exactly like MK9 Kabal's and he's a burn victim.

I wonder if the reaper-robed dudes in the Soul Chamber background are Shadow Priests, or members of the Brotherhood. They do have black skin like Noob.

I liked the look of him, remember that the extermanation squads could have magic as a weapon like shang does kinda. Probey used some on him to rot his flesh but he survived because their magic isn't as good as shangs.
Anyway, his fatality was great IMO. I liked the slice in half with the head on the hooksword, its quick but looks cool. I don't really like the long delayed type fatalitys you know. Remember how long kenishis eye pop was?

I was wondering that myself.
Maybe they're Dementors from Harry Potter
I just hope you can finally knock people into that Soulnado thing as a Fatality.

I think the face looks alright and all, but my question would immediately be why does he keep briefly lifting his mask while he fights? What's the point of it?

Probably been mentioned before but I just noticed the pattern on the side of the bridge of the Soul Chamber. It does look like they may have merged Pit 3 and Soul Chamber together. Either way I would be shocked if we had any "bridge" type stages that didnt have a stage Fatality

We better get a stage Fatality there.
